I got similar results. I haven't updated to latest DCS beta yet so comparison to my last test 26 run should be accurate. Doesn't seem much difference between having the optimise renderering on or off.

Still having issues when trying to run the Beta of WMR for Steam VR.

Causes Steam VR to crash when I launch DCS. In Star Wars Squadrons Steam VR is crashing a lot during gameplay with it as well.

Guess I will go back to the non beta of WMR for Steam VR.

Really frustrating.

I am all up to date to in Windows 10 (21H1), and latest hotfix of Nvidia GPU driver.

 

I sure hope the Vive Pro 2 is really good so I can ditch this WMR stuff.

I was getting ready to test wmr beta again with the new update today I just got off a 1 hour session and got zip crashes so thought I’d try pressing my luck and switch back over to wmr beta and the Tomcat I may try here in a few just to check my end but for now so far so good with the patch. Im hoping everything settles down again and everything is in harmony. I wish I had the space for the Vive Pro, I’m sharing may playroom/Mancave ...little cave with my wife and her office stuff, man shes accumulating a lot of stuff in here geeez!

I got a message yesterday when I booted up Steamvr that said gpu error and need to update nvidia driver that had a link to it. I’m running  NV driver 466.47, so does it want me to upgrade the the hotfix driver ? 466.57 I never did a hotfix driver before.

I played without downloading it with no probs.

Yes I got the same, I went ahead and updated without issue. But I was not having an issue previously that I was aware of.

Nothing to do with my stuff:

  • [RTX 20 series][GTX 16/10 series][HDMI] 4K @ 120Hz display mode is not available from display settings [3312401]
  • If GPU is connected to a 4K UHD TV, system may freeze when launching a VR game [3313315] 

 

But I might as well too if I start getting that message error, Thanks !

I'm alittle behind on the SteamVR/WMR stuff been flying 2D and want to get back into my G2. The last thing I did was opt out of WMR beta a few weeks ago and I noticed last night that a few setting were missing in the Video Setting which was the FOV and OverRide World Scale, did they take it out of steam? Is everyone still not using WMR beta.

Last I checked, the WMR beta is still broken. SteamVR beta still works fine, the world scaling too. The FOV slider does nothing without the WMR beta. (at least on my system)

I was having some issues with SVR last night. I'd click play, it'd say launching for a few seconds, then silently fail.

 

Happened upon a post that pointed me to a fix... try reinstalling the appropriate redist file from here... vc_redist.x86.exe or vc_redist.x64.exe

Just completing a complete wipe/reload... had some other issues and figured it was just time.

I keep on getting svr crash, tried updating windows/ updated gpu drivers, switched between beta and normal on both wmr and svr. Downloaded the redist x64 manually. Still crashes. I've been trying to fix it for a couple of hours, really wanted to try mi 24 😭 Other games are fine as far i can tell.
