iRocco Posted February 22, 2019 Posted February 22, 2019 does it have the proper size in comparison to the ED model and will it be included in next weeks F14 EA? ;)
Dino Might Posted February 22, 2019 Posted February 22, 2019 can't wait to crash into the back of that... Are we not doing phrasing anymore?
ironcross Posted February 22, 2019 Posted February 22, 2019 I like her a lot. will her floaters I mean her elivaters work?
hvymtal Posted February 22, 2019 Posted February 22, 2019 IIRC, The idea is for the Forrestal to be a fully functional carrier; deck crew, elevators, tugs, the works My Logitech Extreme3D Pro "Essentials" Profiles for FC3 and 25T: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/599930/ Thrustmaster T.16000M, TWCS FC3, F-5E, M2000C, AJS-37, C-101, F-14, NTTR
DeltaXrayBravo Posted February 22, 2019 Posted February 22, 2019 Another cheeky question, you guys had mentioned that there may be deck crew on the carriers at some point, so I was just wondering if we could get a definitive answer on that? Also the Elevators' appear to be down by the hangers, is this a teaser at the possibility of aircraft hangers on the Aircraft Carriers in DCS: World? Thank-you, for all the hard work you've done it's much appreciated, and have a nice day!:):):)
hvymtal Posted February 23, 2019 Posted February 23, 2019 There are models floating around in one of the updates of 1980s/early 90s era deck crew, so yes they have that in mind As for the elevators, read the post above yours, silly! AG-51_Razor Posted February 26, 2019 Posted February 26, 2019 Ya know, one of the early videos we've seen has the Tomcat sitting on a cat that is on one of the Ferrestal class carriers. It didn't look as thought they were done with the texturing but it definitely was not the Stennis and it must have been sent to the video maker with the Forrestal class carrier included in the package. HB may surprise us! [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Ickx Posted April 1, 2019 Posted April 1, 2019 I can’t wait for this addition. Is there any news other than that it has been indicated it will be available before F14A? Also, more urgent probably but not the responsibility of Heatblur – is there any news from ED about better ATC?
QuiGon Posted April 1, 2019 Posted April 1, 2019 Also, more urgent probably but not the responsibility of Heatblur – is there any news from ED about better ATC? Yes, the new ATC system is still in development and will be first available for the carriers and later for land airbases as well. Intel i7-12700K @ 8x5GHz+4x3.8GHz + 32 GB DDR5 RAM + Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 (8 GB VRAM) + M.2 SSD + Windows 10 64Bit DCS Panavia Tornado (IDS) really needs to be a thing!
RustBelt Posted April 1, 2019 Posted April 1, 2019 My big question is will Heatblur actually fix whatever goofy spaghetti code ED is using on their current carrier to make the Forestall interact correctly with the aircraft’s wheels.
fl0w Posted April 1, 2019 Posted April 1, 2019 I've noticed that there is actually code for the Forrestal carrier and textures. I think they're still finishing the systems/model aspect of it.
Nealius Posted April 2, 2019 Posted April 2, 2019 I cannot wait to play around with a period carrier in the Tomcat and Scooter. Can't wait for the A-6 and A-7/F-8 either. Is anyone even making an A-7?
Swordsman422 Posted April 2, 2019 Posted April 2, 2019 The USS John C. Stennis first cruise in 1997, CVW-7 was aboard and both VF-143 and VF-11 were equipped with F-14Bs, so technically the current Stennis carrier qualifies as a correct period carrier. Still, I'm with you here. Having the Forrestal-class and specifically USS Saratoga, with F-14Bs from the Bedevilers and Sluggers aboard will be awesome!
bonesvf103 Posted April 2, 2019 Posted April 2, 2019 Will it come with a script that lights perpetual fires onboard? Like in real life? Isn't that what FID stood for, Fire in Distress? v6, boNes "Also, I would prefer a back seater over the extra gas any day.
