* A mind-machine interface blowing the graphics straight up your visual cortex, the G's to your inner ear and the sounds as well.

* A detailed rendering of the entire world at a 2mm detail level.

* Every (flying) machine ever built represented as AI units.

* Unit AI that behaves like a human: is smart, has fears but can be brave, can overlook things, can spot a glint in the distance.

* tactical and strategic AI making for a dynamic campaign that makes the old flacon game look like ace combat

* it'll cook you dinner, wash your clothes and *** your *****

Considering in software, a new 'major' version denotes backwards incompatibility, my guess is they would either get Dynamic Campaigns or Vulcan to work, which would break ties with the older implementations currently in use.

All hypothetical, could be years down the line, I'm happy with what I have in DCS for the next few years. Stuff like Vulcan would only help themselves push the boundaries even further.

Has very plausible with the actual in develop Vulkan and Dynamic Campaign can be a 3.0. Other point can be a new Map technology jump, as 1.5 to 2.0.

Hi, guys!, question for you, do you know what kind of new features will DCS world 3.0 have? Thanks!

Cheers,

Vincent

Features, not modules. Never can be a version "jump" from 2.X to 3.0 by only modules. That can only be by a big feature or internal simulator changes.

Half a century? DCS 3.0 is about to hit us in two weeks.

By the power of soon icon_razz.gif

In other words: What I said rdlaugh.png

(And this wasn't about a possible DCS 3.0, but about certain planes wishlisted)

2 words: "vulkan api"

One word is enough here (the choice is yours) as DirectX is not even an API dealwithit.png

Triple loading times in 3.0 is my guess

(A good thing I put a silly smiley face, eh.. Otherwise I would get bombed with comments that I am such a terrible person. "Lol" usually does the trick too)

How about an Ai with at least a room temperature Iq, how about no more sniper tanks, sniper sams. How Bout an actual EW model, intel, briefings, gci, iads, a dynamic campaign. Or.... gasp.... CBUs that work.... vaguely realistic sensor modeling and performace...

I could go on...

Probably will be full World Map with detailed areas to buy, maybe dynamic campaign, maybe SRS included, maybe compatible with Stadia.

Maybe sooner than most expect? :)

I wish DCS received an actual good internal restructure and organization of its files.

Look like they are working on that already.

I wouldn't bump it to 3.0 with just Vulkan API and/or Dynamic Campaign ... without some CPU multithreading improvements tho, the way modules are integrated, perhaps the livery submodule idea, filestructure and modding improvements, isn't "mod folder" supported already?, proper FLIR rendering, ... just saying.

I just don't like fast versioning it really makes it so dull, takes the credit away, just look Chrome/Firefox, the version numbers became meaningless.

Hey I just installed Chrome 252.32.4282.39.78179 ... yeah, whatever.

Personally, my absolute dream would be to integrate DCS flying and combined arms with another game such as Arma 3 or Squad. Then you can either play as infantry in a realistic military shooter game, or fly. Distant future music of course...

For 3.0: less stutters/smoother gameplay would make me 99% happier. Because this simply ruins gameplay and makes me not even attempt multiplayer or buy additional modules till this is fixed.
