uri_ba Posted October 4, 2019 Posted October 4, 2019 I've set screens to 1024 (was 512) but MFDs are too pixelated to read. It's to the point I can't see radar scale or see what the selected MFD display is (by looking at the bottom) No problem reading the DED/HUD or the much smaller fonts on the M2K or F-14 radar screens Vive, 225% SS via steamVR (equiv to PD1.5). Bloody Posted October 4, 2019 Posted October 4, 2019 +1 They looks like washed out or something. In F/A 18 they are sharp as hell :(
spidierox Posted October 4, 2019 Posted October 4, 2019 +1 same as above: F/A18 very clear .... F16 not

counter25 Posted October 4, 2019 Posted October 4, 2019 +1 HMD: Samsung Odyssey+ In the F/A-18C the MFDs easy to read.
Angel101 Posted October 4, 2019 Posted October 4, 2019 In oculus S what I find nearly invisible is the bullseye info, maybe the screen needs more brightness.
QuiGon Posted October 4, 2019 Posted October 4, 2019 (edited) Yeah, the MFDs seem to be a bit too dimm. panton41 Posted October 4, 2019 Posted October 4, 2019 I didn't have too terrible much of a problem, but it was a little blurry. Maybe I'm just used to MFDs in VR being a little blurry. nerkub Posted October 4, 2019 Posted October 4, 2019 VR Index .. font looks just to bold ... main problem is the size of the MDFs, but on this we cannt blame ED :-) .. just try to make font more crisp, i guess this would help a lot
Deano87 Posted October 4, 2019 Posted October 4, 2019 Yeah the very bold font makes it difficult see what each character is. Thankfully we have the new “Spyglass Zoom” feature under UI-Layer. Which is like Max 2D zoom, it fills your view with screen lol. falcon_120 Posted October 4, 2019 Posted October 4, 2019 Same here! Rift S user. The problem seems to be that the MFD info is too dim, for example anything in blue like bullseye info is barely discernible from the black background. Also white is too dimm. Bright and contrast controls are not working for the moment.
Voodoo_37 Posted October 4, 2019 Posted October 4, 2019 (edited) +1 This is a module breaker. I have Rift S. Not my settings because every other module is clear and readable. Cthulhus Posted October 4, 2019 Posted October 4, 2019 Thanks ok for me on Vive Pro but the "issue" is that screens are smaller than F/A-18C screens... USA_Recon Posted October 4, 2019 Posted October 4, 2019 It's very unreadable - 3 things I believe would help resolve 1. the font spacing is nearly non-existent so the numbers run together - very hard to read 2. the font size is really small 3. the MFD's are very 'dim' - so maybe when we can brighten it - will help or set default to be brighter #1 and #2 are killer right now as I literally have to zoom in just to read the numbers
USA_Recon Posted October 4, 2019 Posted October 4, 2019 I should add - this is not just VR it's same for monitor

USA_Recon Posted October 4, 2019 Posted October 4, 2019 Why is this moved ? This isn't just virtual reality - it's F-16 specific bug
falcon_120 Posted October 4, 2019 Posted October 4, 2019 There is something definetely off with the viper MFD. They need to increase contrast and brightness. Enviado desde mi SM-G950F mediante Tapatalk

Gryzor Posted October 4, 2019 Posted October 4, 2019 Any help in editing some files like in F-18 "MDG_strokesDefs.lua"? I have those files modded in my F-18 installation
DucS2r Posted October 4, 2019 Posted October 4, 2019 It’s a big issue for me in both VR and non VR. It is not so much fuzziness for me as a brightness and contrast issue. The background lines are nearly invisible. Has anyone reported this with pics? I could do it if no one has already done it. Thanks. i9 14900, RTX 4090 24GB G DDR6X, 2x2 TB SSDs, 64GB Dual Channel DDR5 5200MT/s, Pimax Crystal Light
imacken Posted October 5, 2019 Posted October 5, 2019 After a long session in the Hornet, I went back to the Viper, and yes, couldn't agree more. MFDs are way too dark and totally lacking in contrast. HUD looks a bit washed out as well. Hopefully, this is just EA stuff, and things will improve.
