On monday I take a depresion episode (I have take a very rought path on the last six monts, no work, no money, etc) and hide all my posts on the forum to intent take distance and no put anything. I need to appologize to all followers by not talking anything. Has pass two days and I have on better state, meanwhile I was follow your posts by tapatalk. Sorry to all.

I intent moving by here and surely you see me post anything. With the past of the days, I intent rejoin my "work". Best rewards.

That sucks to hear. I really hope things will get better for you in the future!

As you can see you're a very important pillar of the DCS community and we all really appreciate your work here and would be very sad if that would stop as this thread shows.

Nevertheless real life issues always take precedence, so take care of yourself and don't give up

Man, that sucks. Been there (for over a decade due to various health things), so I can perfectly understand... don't let things take you down. DCS and your roadmap are one thing that will keep your chin up, keep that resource.

There has been a lot of people lately hit hard by these pandemic times, hopefully things will get better for you soon

.. one of my daughters has been out of work for a year now. She leaned on her family and thus moved to live with us for a time (luckily she is single and with no children, two cats tough), but just this week she found a new job and we expect that things for her will start to go better now. Wish you the same luck 🙏

Goodbye

¿? why?, hopefully its goodbye for now and not permanent .. I see on your profile that you are unemployed at the moment, hopefully things for you will improve soon.

Life has little by little becoming ever harder, every necessity is more expensive every day, war and conflicts everywhere around us, politicians are more corrupt than ever before, young people are shying away from marriage, and so many prefer to have a pet rather that a child, modern life is so different from the life my parents had, thinking about it makes me sad for the life that my children can look forward to 😥

Hey man, I follow your roadmap like a HAWK with excitement each DCS update to see what changes had been made and to see what upcoming stuff might be implemented in the future. I was really sad to see that it has been taken down now. Anyone who even glanced at it could tell that you put a lot of energy and effort into it - years. More importantly though, I hope you are alright. Keep your head up, and I wish you well.

Silver Dragon deleted (or hid) his roadmap thread and all his other posts, then left the forum. It's up to him if he wishes to come back and restore his content.

It wasn't "his content". That thread contained posts by lots of people and was part of the ED forum ecosystem, for lack of a better term. It had well over a million views I think, and doubtlessly a large chunk of those views were for other peoples' contributions.

It's a shame that one of the most informative and enjoyable threads that many contribute to comes and goes at a whim like this, as it has before. And it might be back in a week and then disappear again the next. Oh well.

Thanks for clarification, I should've rephrased my post. He was thread creator and with the way current forum software works, he couldn't delete it while keeping other participants posts visible. Whether we like it or not, that's how it is, but we've already had this conversation last time it happened.

IMO, he really shouldn't have deleted the whole damn thing. He could have blanked out the first post to ensure roadmap isn't misleading, but the other content could have stayed. It's not like he had to do anything to maintain it. This thread was bigger than him and it wasn't cool for him to just delete it on a whim. He wants to take a break, fine, but that doesn't mean he's entitled to make the others' contributions into collateral damage.

Maybe @BIGNEWY or another staffer could make an official newsfeed thread that would function the same, but not be at risk of being deleted like this. The roadmap thread was already premoderated in order to make sure only actual news were posted.

Apologies if I came off snarkier than intended.
