My performance in Marianas as of 2.7.7.15038 is in double digits with brand new RTX 2060Super. Me setting are low. This is just plain sucks, and I hate it. I had 150-180 FPS in 2.5.5, went down slightly to 140 avg. in 2.5.6.  Went down to 120 avg in 2.7.6, and took a downhill dump in 2.7.7 , with 45-60 FPS , sitting on a tiny Pagan island dirt strip in middle of Pacific with no clouds. I am not spending a single dollar on DCS until we get FPS bag with rigs we get. If the expectation that to continue enjoying DCS going forward with latest builds, we need to get I9-11 or 12th Gen or Ryzen 9 with 3080Ti, that is absurd. Something tells me that Ryzen 9 5900X with 3080Ti, 64gb ram 3600Mhz, at 1440P , is going to be in double digits, and 4K will be in low double digits on a high end $4000 system.

My System settings and mission made with stock 2.7.7 , is attached.

Are you comparing your old FPS from older map vs a new map? Also the 2060 is a better card than most, but its not as good as a 2080 eithers. Generally anything under xx70 is not much better, if at all than the previous cards, ie 1080/70s.

I have 2060Super FE. Which is a great board. Though it is FE, it has same or higher performance as RTX 2070 FE and AB partners. 2060Super has identical performance to RTX 3060. RTX 3060Ti gets 25%-30% higher FPS then 2060Super. It is a fantastic board, for $400 I paid for it. Original one failed, and I got new replacement from Nvidia. I ran that through all sorts of benchmarks and performance tests in Unigine Superposition and Unity GPU Stress. All appears fine.

Comparing what I used to get in 2.5.5 through various builds to current. Marianas is a new map, to be sure. On small Pagan island, off to the top of the map away from AFB, Saipan, and Guam, there is a tiny dirt strip. Tiny island with not many trees and very few structures, surrounded by water. Should be above 100 FPS.

Performance in Nevada, which was highest performance map, and OG Georgia, has likewise went into a downward spiral.  Marianas sucks on performance wise. Syria is quasi-terrible. Normandy is OK. I don't have Channel .Whole DCS performance just took 30-40% hit, or more. I am just comparing baseline DX11/12 , not having dozens or hundred ground and air units in complex battles. Just a single aircraft .

Used to be, DCS, as DX11/12 games and flight sims go, was FANTASTIC! Best. Far higher FPS and visual quality then XPlane11, Prepare3D(based on MS FlightSim ), and way faster then MS Flight Sim 2020/21 with similar view quality. But DCS performance dropped significantly with 2.7.6 then 2.7.7. with that new cloud system and water.

This is a SWAG long shot, but based on my very experience in drone building:
KALMAN filters are mentioned in the latest update, I think for the AIM-120C.  Kalman filters are considered to be 'efficient', but I know they can take up a lot of RAM space.
Where any Kalman filters added with the general 2.7.7 update?

You aren’t comparing like for like, the Mariana’s is hugely more performance impacting than say the caucuses… whilst I agree it’s not a great experience on the Marianas.  It’s not really fair to expect the same perf on a new map as an old one.

that said, performance has also decreased on older maps as well.

i have no perfomance loss on windows 11 in 2.7.6. Havent tried 2.7.7 on windows 10 so i cant compare but everything else runs just the same for me on 11.

Most people that I have spoken to with a perf hit from moving to 11 either have VBS turned on or were on AMD or both

they have asked plenty of times for data via @BIGNEWY and @NineLine... the chief challenge to fixing a problem is getting a reliable mechanism of reproducing it ... what questions were you expecting ?

In fairness, Limaro did as asked and Flappie has shoved in a report. I know flappie isnt a dev but I cant recall any thread where an ED dev joins in. I personally think its better that way as I want devs to dev not scroll though endless guff in a thread. BIGNEWY has taken part in a limited manner, largly to say say the thread was useless which, in terms of the original purpose it was at that stage.Personally, I never realy expect direct interaction and would be unsure what purpose it would serve. If the devs have an ask I assume BIGNEWY will apss it on in his role as a mod.

but, in truth, if you follow the tread through Its pretty clear there are very few who can a) do as requested and b) remain focussed on the actual issue without wandering off into lilly la la land. Myself included.

Agreed W11 gives me good frame times functionally identical on version for version

This is true.
But since Flappie could reproduce it, and the bug got the state reported, I guess many think, that it does not worth to find additional parameters anymore.

But this may be also wrong and a question to @BIGNEWY or @Flappie. Is ED still "collecting data" for that problem? I am refering to this, where you asked everyone to create a topic for each ones specific problem/circumstances (Link)

Btw.: I've also tried the shader cache size from NVIdia Control Panel, but this has influence i could measure.

Yeah - it works and I never changed anything on this matter in the control settings of DCS.
