I dont know whether thery are laughing their asses, they know about their responsibilities but yeah, I know what you mean. I also know that the Phantom is in good hands with HB even though their Communication style is absolute underground. I mean they were praising a Reveal show scheduled late 2022...well, late 2022 is somethings like October...may be November...but December 19th is end of 2022 and not a single word about their reveal show...that bugs me the most.

) proposed that MAYBE HB does NOT know, for certain, exactly when it's release will come, and thus can't tell us.  It may well be out of their control now, might be depending on outside forces/conditions. Maybe ED quality control. Maybe testing for conflicts with other modules. Maybe setting it up in the store 100% properly, ready for mass download through many mirrored servers. Maybe the owners of Phantom intellectual property require a final inspection of the product before signing off (Boeing these days? I mean they did buy McDonald Douglas? ). It's entirely possible that they , HB don't know if it'll be purchaseable December or January. Or maybe early February.. 

 

I'm just playing "devil's advocate" around why we aren't getting solid answers, trying to figure out plausible explanations why. Not sure why people are getting so wound up about this or other modules... they'll  get to us  when the product is READY, and hopefully not a day too early so we can avoid a buggy release!!

The question was....If they do know, why not say so? It wasn't do they or don't they, maybe they do or maybe they don't. (You've changed the premise of the question and then claimed to have answered it.)

Your first reply was essentially an explanation of why companies don't give exact deadlines but that wasn't what was asked.

If the project has indeed been delayed to the point of no longer being able to release this year, then why not say so? The original question didn't ask for anything other than that, no request for a new estimate or for an explanation of why it's been delayed. The orginal question simply wanted to know why they wouldn't tell us if they know it's not coming this year. And it's a fair question.

They probably want to give us a bigger official update rather than just mention that it has been delayed and I think that would be for the better. In any way I expect to see an update before the end of the year so we probably won't have to wait long.

I can agree with this atleast. My general mood has washed out a bit because even if it drops from the clouds like an eagle after an unattended small dog and releases this very second I'm going to be away from my flying gear and unable to enjoy it, I think we'll atleast get to see some of it as the 2023 and beyond video's star appearance, alongside the F-15E and who knows what else. Don't really keep my ear to the ground, would hope to hear more about those extra Vietnam lovelies like the Hun and the Skyraider, but doubt it on those. Phantom though? I'd bet on it we're gonna get to see it atleast a little bit. Minimum I'd expect is a repeat of the last teaser, but the gunsight is in game.

Just have to imagine the planned release was for early 2023, not 2022... That was probably just a typo, both in the video and the description. It's definitely the case here.

I was overdosing on Hopeium for something before Christmas but I am sure we will hear something real soon, likely we will see something in the 2023 & beyond video. 

But to the HB team and everyone else, Merry Christmas and hope you all get a good vacation and lets hope for a q1 23 release

Might not have forgotten but they never declared, what this label means. Could be anything from "will release in  2022" down to "yeah we announced it in 2022" My guess is something like "we wanted to give it in 2022 but due to some crazy stuff happening we couldn't do it..."

Imaging it drops today, whole Europe(?) closing down for Christmas tomorrow and something is wrong and the module is not playable for any reason.
