Ka-50 Mk.III?

No, in the podcast he refers to it as the “secret helicopter”…

I’d imagine its some flavour of AH-1

In the Apache release video, there was a UH-60 starting up in background, 24 seconds in:

I got some insider information on the AC-130. The AC-130J is too secret for them to get enough information on to do so they would have to redo the module as the H to make an AC variant which would pretty much be a whole new module and a separate purchase. Can’t quote my source so take it with a grain of salt.

I'd actually love an older C-130. Right now, they're saying, late 2010s, which pretty much means it'll be the most modern module in DCS, thus putting it out of date range for most other assets. AFAIK, a typical mid-2000s C-130 still flew with steam cockpit (although the J was already a thing then, and I doubt it changed very much). Which would be a perfectly good project to make, IMO, I'm not interested in cargo planes beyond the tech they bring, but a C-130H or even a Vietnam-era E would be more up my alley. I've flown airliners in other sims, and my favorites were the Tu-154 and the vintage Boeing 707, both very analog (although the Tupolev was surprisingly automated for its time).

Yea that might be a hint, or maybe just a scenery prop. We do need more modern aircraft, so we can have diversity on the servers. EU fighters are missing completely.

I’d really love an older one but I’m not going to complain about the J. Hopefully it’s successful and opens up new options for DCS. If we’re lucky we’ll see a H later.

Maybe we get some SAM improvments for IADS?

Beside that I would love to see a Super Hornet and some more maps.

I am more wondering when Wags tells us the answer 😁😅

Four more new 3rd party module announcements in the cue. What could they be? 😁

I love a good speculation thread... You are such a tease Wags.

Truly superior pilots are those that use their superior judgment to avoid those situations where they might have to use their superior skills.

1. Panavia Tornado.

2. F-111E/F.

3. Eurocopter Tiger (Unlikely)

4. UH/SH/MH-60

More like what I would love to see rather than what will be anounced. 😀

Also note, even before it was canceled, it was very clearly slated for after Black Shark 3. Those "political reasons" might very well resolve themselves before that one comes out.

In fact, given the rate at which BS3 seems to be going, by the time it's done the Su-57 might be on the table...

I hope one of the four is the Kiowa.  Would love to see an F-111 or Tornado, but doubt I will this time.  Afghanistan was teased in the '2022 and beyond' video, so given we are now in September, it would be nice to have that formally announced.  We already know about the F-4 (both of them).  Maybe Su-17/22?

Laptop Pilot. Alienware X17, i9 11980HK 5.0GHz, 16GB RTX 3080, 64GB DDR4 3200MHz, 2TB NVMe SSD. 2x TM Warthog, Hornet grip, Virpil CM2 & TPR pedals, Virpil collective, Cougar throttle, Viper ICP &MFDs,  pit WIP (XBox360 when traveling). Quest 3S.

Wishlist: Tornado, Jaguar, Buccaneer, F-117 and F-111.

well the Kiowa is already announced and was shown around, so no reason to say its a new secret module coming...

Su17/22 could be and Im guessing something red will be the case anyway. AH1 UH60 and probably yet another map^^(edit: but god I hope its some kind of bombtruck)

Kiowa has been very quite lately though.  It might just be a 'hey, we haven't forgotten!'.

I would like to see some kind of a time frame. With all these modules, and the staggered releases, we could be years off with some of this stuff. I mean, some of us are getting on in years. 😉

I wonder if there will ever be two planes offered at once or will we have to wait months for the next module even if it's sitting there ready to go?

Some of the planes, but all of the maps!

IIRC the Mossie and Apache were released pretty close to each other.  Not much commonality so unlikely to steal sales from each other, and the hardcore DCS'ers like myself will just buy them both anyway.  Likewise for simultaneous map/module releases I'd imagine, but I'm sure ED do their homework regarding release timings.
