If you compare the maps you will see increases in some of the High detailed areas size.

Did you guys consider adding some airfields outside of Afghanistan (later on)? Would be cool to have them, to fullfil the map entirely.

Not planned currently, but I think many would love to see it one day.

It the map going to include new ME vehicles? Such as yellow or white Toyota Corollas and motorcycles? Those were the primary vehicles used by the Taliban down in RC South when I was there in ‘07.

Not really seen much info on factions to be added? I take it that Afghanistan, Taliban and Mujahideen will be added as factions? Would be a shame and wrong to just use "Insurgent" for them, especially as they are on opposing sides.

Meanwhile we have Toyotax and Hilux on DCS World, ED dont talk yet about new insurgence vehicles... and Afghanistan has not talk nothing about a "assets pack".

I think there are some options already, although I would love to see more. YOu can use the single pad option or even the invisible FARP. This is a super quick and dirt add.

Sorry if answered before - are there any plans to have a version of the map that focuses on the Soviet operations in the 80s? I guess the only thing that would really have to change are the airbases.

You can't add members of a flight to different airports (ie helipads) so these only support single flights. Which works for small single player / community missions, but for a multiplayer server that would be a PITA.

This is not me bashing you guys or anything but it has been talked about that the team has been working on it since 2020.

Seems like the airport at Multan, Pakistan would be a good choice.  There's a PAF airbase and Army base there, with aircraft shelters and a ramp.  It has a 10,500' x 150' runway at an elevation of 400 feet MSL.  Surrounded by flat land for >50 NM radius.  About 150 NM from the Afghanistan border, 300 NM SSE of Bagram AB.

I wish some of y'all could see/understand the software industry a bit better. I have been in it for 20+ years, and delays are part of the norm. Do you want a busted game? Do you think that ED is intentionally holding the release back just to exert some form of control over their users? Do you think that they are delaying the fix to that backlog bug because SoAndSo wants it real bad? I call BS. There is never a guarantee in development. Numerous factors, some out of your control, always play into every release. ♫ One bug down, pass it around, 27 more bugs found in the code. ♫ Calm down. This is not heart surgery; no one is (hopefully) going to die because you couldn't fly your new airframe in whatever week of the month that you thought you would be able. Just stop with the overly dramatic drama. Don't uninstall; don't come here just to tell the devs off; stop flailing your arms. This happens every single time a release is delayed. Accept the things that you cannot change... </2¢>

Hi, I've been keeping away from forums, social media for the same reason chump here described. The drama, hate at times is not worth it.

Chump puts it quite nicely here. 

However, I don't think most of the anxiety comes from "I want to fly my chopper now or I am done with DCS". It is sharing of information instead.

My total disappointment as I believe others too comes from this lack of update, information. I'm in a similar industry, engineering industry with SW, HW development. 

I can't see a scenario where we would be able to keep almost total ban on updates from customers who put a down payment (pre order) on our products.

Our customer calls, or wants a visit to see progress. Under what circumstances I would be refusing to reply or provide an update of our progress?

That's what frustrates 60% of users here.

Release couple of images, a short video, people keep quiet for another week. This, almost secretive, selective approach breaks trust.

The same goes with updates around Razbam fiasco. 

Withholding progress updates, explanation of delays, etc.. is the only thing hurting DCS. It is not the actual reason for the delay. Every sensible professional understands the reasons. 

Finding updates from 3rd party or 3 days too late, not knowing where my preorder money went to is what is frustrating.

Big release like this....a few screenies, Wag's video and we smile for two weeks while you fix bugs.

You fail to mention or even recognize with any respect that we are paying customers and paying a lot of money [by choice of course].

You under estimate the users/customers knowledge and experience with age of the software Industry as a blanket term like we are all disgruntled 16 year old's.

Our patience is second to none, 'do we want a busted game' no, that's the whole point, it appears to be a repetitive breaker each update and constantly chasing tails, they are a business and will introduce new material to rent to us as we choose personally to acquire as customers, customers expect to be treated as customers as there may be no business without the customers.

This is not a personal attack on you but it does highlight how we as customers can be easily taken out of the equation by simply saying we don't understand how complex the software Industry is and awww give them some slack it'll get sorted until it partially breaks again.
