I haven't commented on this topic so far, all I would say is that I am looking forward to the video purely from an aesthetic perspective, I enjoy DCS videos (be they mine or from others).

There is nothing specific that I am on tenterhooks about because the content of these videos is not linked to any release date consequently they are merely hints of what may lie ahead.

C-130 doing its thing for sure.  Hopes are Dynamic Campaign, Razbam resolution (I hope), Vulcan, WW2 pacific (hopefully), Flyable Zero???, and the announcement of Blackhawk?  Hmmmm.

Definitely not boring. There are many benefits to using Vulkan and It's improvements that will happen over time. Especially for VR users. There will likely not be any performance improvements at the initial release, but Vulkan would be huge. Releasing Vulkan should be priority for 2025 IMO.

You missed the point. I said that showcasing Vulkan in a video would be boring, not that implementing Vulkan is / would be boring.

So honestly. Vulkan is overrated and doesn't bring much today. It was a revolution a few years ago, now it's really a waste of time to bother with it. The market has gone to other optimizations based on DX12.

I beg to differ. I could point to (very) recent release(s) that have both available, where Vulkan runs a lot better than DX12 with much smoother frametimes, and that's in 2D - VR is something else entirely.
But as far as I understand, it puts a lot of pressure onto developers since they'll need to be smart in their programming instead of simply relying on the API to do the work for them automatically.
