^ it means in my interpretation: edge will be released in july :bounce:

Dont assume anything, until its announced nothing is known. There should be no reason why a module needs a new version to release really, unless there is something about that module that changes the core game somehow. Least IMHO.

Thats true. Some of those screenshots in the Fw 190 page seem to be running in the current TFCSE. The last half looks like EDGE.

By the looks of it the new engine finally handles atmosphere visuals using some proper modeling instead of the usual gaming industry artist vision :disgust:

I apologize if this has already been asked, but I cannot go through 500+ pages lol. How will the performance of this game be vs, the current?

Im happy with my i7 3770 and GTX 660, but cannot upgrade for some time.

I hope it will be like arma 2 and arma 3, where I had the same performance with better graphics

Well DCS is currently running a poll to see How many members have higher end graphics cards....I think they're trying to tell us something:)

I guess the purpose is to see the impact of switching between DX9 and DX11.

Most Normal GPUs should have sufficient performance to run the SIM. With some of the changes EDGE is likely to introduce we may even gain performance.

If they balance the gain vs new eye candy, I don't expect a major change in system requirements, apart from DirectX11 compatible graphics card.

Not that more wouldn't give an advantage.

I'm pretty curious if the Video RAM is still an issue... my 770 uses up to 2.5GB of vRAM when running DCS, so currently 3GB or more is a benefit... with 4k Monitors on the horizon, current video cards are pretty much on edge anyway.

I think they are just trying to see how many of us have DX11 supported (which does not necessarily imply high end) graphics cards. I guess they are going to ditch DX9 support (a.k.a. The current graphics engine) ccompletely.

Don´t forget that many of the new visual effects could be turned on-off so any customer could choose between several configurations to match his own CPU and graphics card.
