I thought we were all unpaid testers with beta versions ?

There's a Difference between:

Pre-Order Open Beta / Pre Release Access

And

Designated Closed Beta Access.

If you want to criticize developers, - be constructive and reasonable. Don't be that entitled, insatiable consumer with burned dopamine receptors that always feels that everyone owns him something. Last thing you want for this franchise - is a developers that have an impression that they have shitty and hostile community, which will inevitably worsen the product by far.

Please, ED guys, take note that the vast majority of all this critique comes from jaded vocal minority, who are impossible to satisfy by design. I'm sure that people who didn't loose the ability to enjoy games in general are very happy with how your products are progressing.

I'd criticize that there arent enough Delta Flyers in the Caucaus terrain. :joystick:

Bonus? FC3 beta is not responsible for the major bugs that are occuring in MP missions.

I don't remember when buying the A-10C anywhere showing that the Multiplayer is unstable?

Also, I didn't see that DCSW is in Beta or that i wouldn't be able to use air refueling in online missions.

After trying to host many missions with a dedicated server I can safly say that 1.2.2 is buggy and unreliable for the non beta/prepurchase modules as well as for the beta/prepurchase modules.

Obviously bugs are normal for any applicaiton but please don't say that the bugs are a result of FC3 beta, it's simply not true.

Edit - I also feel like a beta tester with all the bugs in all the modules :/

FC3 Module has already been confirmed to be the Cause of most of the stability.

DCSW was in Beta through V 1.2.1,

Problem is when you integrate new code for Ground Units, LockOn Script planes, And other new features etc, it may bring forward or intensify bugs that may have been otherwise dormant in the netcode or DCSW Engine prior to that.

And Since FC3 is Integrated into DCSW (For MP Compatibility), whether or not you purchased FC3, the new features and code are automatically integrated to the DCSW Engine through the Auto Update.

So Even if you Only Fly DCSW with the A-10C Module, the problem code is still there, and will still effect you.

Which is why Netcode Stability prolly took priority over EVERYTHING the last few weeks/months, Because it Effects EVERYONE.

Yeah, okay, so where are your bug reports? Your tracks? Your logs? Are you trying to help, or are you just giving arbitrary reports on things that may or may not be broken?

I see that you have made at least some constructive posts on fixing things. Is it not, however, enough to know that there are people working right now to fix these problems? Must you also come in here and complain unnecessarily about the same stuff being broken, even though its not exactly a secret?

Ukraine has plenty of good soils but some of the harshest climates for that (too low temperatures). Be self-sufficient, go DIY inside :smartass:

Lets be on-topic :D

People seem to forget that even if you own 1 module, you're still getting a hell of a lot of new content related to other modules for free, like new models/textures, AFM for missiles, the ability to play online with people in other planes. Hell, you even get a new plane FOR FREE in DCS World ><.... If ED was anything like EA or Activision, they would charge for every single update as DLC pack. lol!

Bear with the bugs, it's worth it. Rock on Eagle Dynamics!

edit: lol, my point is: People don't seem to whine about the new features implemented with FC3, like AFM for missiles, resource manager, etc, only about the bugs :(

I actually remember that a lot of the MP problems were occurring on 1.2.1 also, it intensified in 1.2.2, I was disappointed that it didn't get much attention because FC3 implementation was in priority.

Never the less, I for one try to help as much as I can with posting Bugs and problems, obviously because I want DCS to work better so we can all advantage from it, unfortunately because the number of problems I encounter, it does feel a bit like beta testing.

Yeah I must, I see Testers and ED personal replying in this post, so I think it is important to have my thoughts heard.

As you said, I do post bug reports and try to aid with anything I can, furthermore expressing my opinion in a forum like this seems important to me, even if it isn't exactly what you want to hear.

You should back off

By the way, we're waiting for the install package to be made. What exactly did the beta team install theirs with?

Will the install package have to be beta tested? and if that passes with the final non beta package have to be tested as well? :smartass:

Not sure about ED's system. But in simple terms testers use a special build with special functions enabled that will help them debug stuff. You can say they have their own auto updater connected to a tester repository that get updated frequently. And they only sync the changes and can test them.

And of course they test release builds aswell.

Keep in mind that it's more than just a "patch". DCS World is likely being rebaselined to 1.2.3, so they will need to build an entire DCS World 1.2.3 download package (as well as compatible modules) and smoke test each module. Then do the patch routine that will bring everything incrementally (including all installed modules) from 1.2.2 (all increments) to 1.2.3 and smoke check that.
