Yes, at this point it is planned for what will be v.1.2.4, though I'm not sure how informative that is for you. :)

Thx a lot again, that´s informative enough. I was mostly wondering if the integration of a new module necessitates a larger effort by ED or if they could just do it with a smaller auto-update-like-event whenever they want. The first one appears to be the case. :)

Well we are now over half way through January. I am wondering if there is a update to the status of ver 1.2.3? I know there has certainly been a lot of buzz on the posting of the DCSW Overview video, but I am wondering what is happening on this topic. Can we have a new bone Wags? Pretty please! :)

I just found this in source code:

while(true)
         if newAnnouncement == true then {
                  sendModsToCalmPpl();
                  delay(random(6-12)); //months
                  return NewBugsAvalibeToDownload()
         }
         else
                  return 'Will be avalibe Soon ™'

Look at DCS Overview video, says 1.2.4

1.2.4 is probably the Huey build. And AFAIK won't be released any time soon.

Merging 1.2.3 and 1.2.4 is a possibility but not likely as this would delay things further.

And the community need the MP issues sorted ASAP.

Let's just hope that 1.2.4 doesn't follow the same criteria.

Summer holidays maybe...? :cry:

I think 1.2.4 depends on the Huey, and possibly the Mig-21. Though I'm not sure ED would want two brand new 3rd party modules in the same release. Debugging could be a P.I.T.A.

Without having a slightest clue I think 1.2.4 is released late Q1 or more likely mid Q2.

I've been correct in the past, probably due to more luck rather then skill :p

Auto updater get included in patch... we get about 10 updates in as many days...

Now we get nothing... seems odd, someone must have broken something good and proper.

1.2.3 does not include the Huey or the MIG 21. The team is hard at work on Multiplay issues. Release dates or estimates are just that, estimates. It will be done when they have a stable MP and haven't broke other realms. Relax people. You want a broken 1.2.3 or you want it done right?

This version pretty stable - no show stoppers, if you avoid cluster munitions and MLRS. Didn't even have the mp bug yet, so I can wait.

Well, no offense but we will have a more-or-less broken MP anyway. As soon as they fix something, something else break in the code! I'm not trying to flame/criticize. I know that's hard work and i'm sure they do their best. I'm thankful for the support the games gets, on the other side i'm realistic : Some should just not wait the patch as if it would be a miracle for MP.

Dev builds are way ahead of builds in testing, you still have to wait for 1.2.3 to finish testing, be pushed through the updater, and then see where the dust settles before they move on to testing the next build, which may or may not be 1.2.4.

Perspective?,

At the bank where I work as a consultant, software development is always being done on versions several versions ahead of the one their customers are using. This is because of the insane amount of quality assurance, security assurance, and loads of pipeline steps required before release of banking software. We call it the bus route, and always joke of how bumby that road is (for banks, especially).

Generally in software development, when new software is released, the first thing devs do is increment the version on their software. So, for all we know the video Wags made could be from right after a change of version, but still the same software.
