upupandaway Posted December 30, 2012 Posted December 30, 2012 (edited) Yes, at this point it is planned for what will be v.1.2.4, though I'm not sure how informative that is for you. :) Thx a lot again, that´s informative enough. I was mostly wondering if the integration of a new module necessitates a larger effort by ED or if they could just do it with a smaller auto-update-like-event whenever they want. The first one appears to be the case. :) Edited December 30, 2012 by upupandaway [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Deedle, deedle!
Raven68 Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 Well we are now over half way through January. I am wondering if there is a update to the status of ver 1.2.3? I know there has certainly been a lot of buzz on the posting of the DCSW Overview video, but I am wondering what is happening on this topic. Can we have a new bone Wags? Pretty please! :) Intel i5-9600K @ 3.7GHz; Gigabyte Z370XP SLI Mobo; G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 64GB (4 x 16GB) 288-Pin DDR4 GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 4080 16GB 256-Bit GDDR6; Thermaltake Water 3.0 Certified Liquid Cooling System Windows 11 Professional HP Reverb G2 /TrackIR 5 in case VR dies; Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog w/ Thrustmaster T-Flight Rudder Pedals

NRG-Vampire Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 if informationReleased == false then return 'Why is there no new information on the patch?' elseif informationReleased == true then return 'Why is the patch not out yet?' end this just nice Grimes really nice :megalol:
CharlieCZ Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 if informationReleased == false then return 'Why is there no new information on the patch?' elseif informationReleased == true then return 'Why is the patch not out yet?' end I just found this in source code: while(true) if newAnnouncement == true then { sendModsToCalmPpl(); delay(random(6-12)); //months return NewBugsAvalibeToDownload() } else return 'Will be avalibe Soon ™'
BRooDJeRo Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 Guess it's a good sign seen from the other side that a bunch of overgrown 30+ years old childeren cant wait for ED to spew something out of their bags.. 1
Mainstay Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 I thought wags said mid januari for 1.2.3 Well we passed that so....

theOden Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 I thought wags said mid januari for 1.2.3 Well we passed that so.... Look at DCS Overview video, says 1.2.4 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Dejjvid Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 Look at DCS Overview video, says 1.2.4 1.2.4 is probably the Huey build. And AFAIK won't be released any time soon. Merging 1.2.3 and 1.2.4 is a possibility but not likely as this would delay things further. And the community need the MP issues sorted ASAP. i7 8700K | GTX 1080 Ti | 32GB RAM | 500GB M.2 SSD | TIR5 w/ Trackclip Pro | TM Hotas Warthog | Saitek Pro Flight Rudder [sigpic]http://www.132virtualwing.org[/sigpic]

Mainstay Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 And the community need the MP issues sorted ASAP. Thats the main reason for my asking cause all my aircraft have been grounded because of this for weeks now
HiJack Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 Can be 1 January? Can be 2 February? Can be 3 Mars? 1.2.3 :D
xilol Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 1(st day of the) 2(nd month of 201) 3 sounds good :) Let's just hope that 1.2.4 doesn't follow the same criteria. 1(st day of the) 2(nd month of 201) 4 :music_whistling: "IN ALTIS VIS ET VIRTUS" [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Dejjvid Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 Summer holidays maybe...? I think 1.2.4 depends on the Huey, and possibly the Mig-21. Though I'm not sure ED would want two brand new 3rd party modules in the same release. Debugging could be a P.I.T.A. Without having a slightest clue I think 1.2.4 is released late Q1 or more likely mid Q2. I've been correct in the past, probably due to more luck rather then skill :p i7 8700K | GTX 1080 Ti | 32GB RAM | 500GB M.2 SSD | TIR5 w/ Trackclip Pro | TM Hotas Warthog | Saitek Pro Flight Rudder [sigpic]http://www.132virtualwing.org[/sigpic]
MadTommy Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 Auto updater get included in patch... we get about 10 updates in as many days... Dusty Rhodes Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 (edited) 1.2.3 does not include the Huey or the MIG 21. The team is hard at work on Multiplay issues. Release dates or estimates are just that, estimates. It will be done when they have a stable MP and haven't broke other realms. Relax people. You want a broken 1.2.3 or you want it done right? tintifaxl Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 This version pretty stable - no show stoppers, if you avoid cluster munitions and MLRS. Didn't even have the mp bug yet, so I can wait. Windows 10 64bit, Intel i9-9900@5Ghz, 32 Gig RAM, MSI RTX 3080 TI, 2 TB SSD, 43" 2160p@1440p monitor.
Darkwolf Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 You want a broken 1.2.3 or you want it done right? Well, no offense but we will have a more-or-less broken MP anyway. As soon as they fix something, something else break in the code! I'm not trying to flame/criticize. I know that's hard work and i'm sure they do their best. I'm thankful for the support the games gets, on the other side i'm realistic : Some should just not wait the patch as if it would be a miracle for MP. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] PC simulator news site. I've been correct in the past, probably due to more luck rather then skill :p Dev builds are way ahead of builds in testing, you still have to wait for 1.2.3 to finish testing, be pushed through the updater, and then see where the dust settles before they move on to testing the next build, which may or may not be 1.2.4. Perspective?, I was testing Windows 7 SP1 in a VM environment for MS while everyone was still fighting over getting ahold of Win7 Public Preview. LostOblivion Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 (edited) At the bank where I work as a consultant, software development is always being done on versions several versions ahead of the one their customers are using. This is because of the insane amount of quality assurance, security assurance, and loads of pipeline steps required before release of banking software. We call it the bus route, and always joke of how bumby that road is (for banks, especially). Generally in software development, when new software is released, the first thing devs do is increment the version on their software. So, for all we know the video Wags made could be from right after a change of version, but still the same software. Edited January 21, 2013 by LostOblivion Nice plane on that gun...
