Got it last night and just went thru the start up procedure. Still tweaking things on PC since I basically overhauled it. The new frame speeds make things so much more enjoyable and just doing the start up was fun for me.

YEP - got it also but I really hope this bird gets more controllable. I flew lots of chopper sims but never had so much problems controlling a bird. But hey it's BETA - so I expect it to get better :joystick:

I think the Huey is the most incredible "conventional" Helicopter sim I have ever experienced. Nothing comes close.

Well done DCS and very well done Belsimtek.... truly superb.

The Ka-50.?.?. now that is a different bird altogether... Where those AH-1s at?

HP G2 Reverb (Needs upgrading), Windows 10 VR settings: IPD is 64.5mm, High image quality, G2 reset to 60Hz refresh rate. set to OpenXR, but Open XR tool kit disabled.

DCS: Pixel Density 1.0, Forced IPD at 55 (perceived world size), DLSS setting is quality at 1.0. VR Driver system: I9-9900KS 5Ghz CPU. XI Hero motherboard and RTX 3090 graphics card, 64 gigs Ram, No OC... Everything needs upgrading in this system!.

Vaicom user and what a superb freebie it is! Virpil Mongoose T50M3 base & Mongoose CM2 Grip (not set for dead stick), Virpil TCS collective with counterbalance kit (woof woof). Virpil Apache Grip (OMG). MFG pedals with damper upgrade. Total controls Apache MPDs set to virtual Reality height. Simshaker Jet Pro vibration seat.. Uses data from DCS not sound... goodbye VRS.

Only have some trouble with controlling the bird, something seems off when using an X52 joystick.

Also my DCS client locks up for a minute after selecting the Heuy for start playing.

I'm sure things will be better

till day1

i can land and hover extremely well

keep in mind when your airspeed falls at 50-40 knots start to add some collective slowly and counter with a little left pedal

Bought it about a month ago, works like a charm although I still need a lot of practice with the landings. I dont crash anymore but I overshoot my intended landing spot a lot. Best. DCS. Module.

Everything seems fine on my end (using X52 and Pro Flight Rudders.)

My framerate was a tad low and when I adjusted things and got the fps up a bit, hovering became instantly easier..... amazing difference a few fps can make in the control of the Huey..... can't stop going up "just one more time", so guess I like it.

My other DCS aircraft are getting dusty.

Had it since the onset and love every minute of it.. Have gotten rather proficient with it. Fun trying to land on various things..

Had the Huey for quite a while now... Still can't hover worth a damn but when I see green tracers coming in my direction hovering is the last thing on my mind.

All of a sudden it will click for you Fuzzy Bear, keep practicing. For me, in the few seconds it takes to figure out where the tracers are coming from I usually no longer have a tail boom so hovering really becomes a problem.... but you don't have to worry about it for long.

Got it on in June. Love it so far...never flown a chopper IRL but this is the best heli sim so far. Getting better at it by every day! having a blast whit it:)

Well it's been a very long time since virtual circuits and bumps have been such an absolute joy......

I'm about 4 hours flight time in and just about getting the hang of it (i.e. landing significantly more than I'm crashing!) and I've got to say, the flight model is so smooth and convincing (never flown a Huey, so I can't vouch for accurate) that even when it chews you up and spits you out, you have to smile, because it's fair, harsh, but fair :)

Thanks Belsimtek!
