Thank you for the update, much appreciated. In fact, i've been looking forward to it for the last 16 hours (forget sleeping in when you have young kids).

I'm not much of a facebook fan myself, but if it helps to "spread the love" then i'm by all means go get 'em!

The Belsimtek Mi-8 screenies are very welcome too, i love them (helicopters and belsimtek) thank you!

Nice photos Flanker............................. Wait what.

The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.

Loving the look of the Mi-8. Can't wait to get my hands on that one.

Regarding Edge, I must confess to being rather surprised that a producer hasn't had access to a build for over a year. I don't mean to imply anything by that - it's just that it's an uncommon occurrence in my own experience (accepting that ED is a very different beast to the games companies that I've worked at over the years). I assume that not having had access to a build for over a year doesn't mean that Wags hasn't had visibility on progress, though.

Looking forward to seeing the final 1.2.4 fix list, too.

Thanks for the update, Wags. Very much appreciated.

Exactly!! Myself, I post promotions, press releases, videos on my page and on occasion it does spark someone to ask about DCS. I have a couple of co-workers that have now taken an interest in DCSW (civil aviation fans). They are really awestruck with some of the game play video they have seen and are getting fired up!

With these choppers coming online is there any work being done on integrating troop movements into the trigger system so that we don't need to use magic to make it happen?

I'm happy that we have choppers coming around but not so happy that its so hard to give them anything to do absent of a boatload of script and triggers.

On Wags last screenie, is that bullet/shrapnel damage to that Mi-8's badonkadonk or is that something else on there?

Just curious, when a major version release comes out, like 1.2.4 or 1.2.5, what is the best way to update to it? For example, 1.2.4 was something like 6 gigs so it wasn't practical to use the auto-updator. I had to download the bin files one at a time from the DCS site and then run the installation exe. Is this how mostly everyone does it?

Y'see how we're like junkies waiting for The Man, huh? Not that I disapprove of what Wags said there though, quite the contrary in fact ;)

I download the entire product and modules for a major update, always. Torrent for the entire thing is usually faster than the autoupdater and I end up with the ability to reinstall that version at will.

I prefer to do a clean install after a big update. Less unknowns.

This means you have to uninstall your existing version, right? I had to do that when I installed 1.2.4.

Yes. I uninstall, delete leftovers, rename my Saved Games\DCS folder and then install from scratch.

Ok. Now, when you do a clean install like that, you have to reinstall any modules you've purchased (FC3, A-10C, etc.) using the module manager in DCS World. Am I correct? So, doesn't this use up one of your permitted installations? For example, I had started with 10 installations for FC3. Now, I think I have 8 left. I'd hate to use them up every time a new version of DCS World comes out.

Thank you very much, Wags for this update. reading that EDGE is still on track makes me happy, even though there´s no further information available at the moment, I am happy anyways.
