GGTharos Posted December 9, 2013 Posted December 9, 2013 The Flanker's AFM will be very detailed. It's flight augmentation system will probably be modeled as well as the F-15's. Great! Su-27 AFM will be detailed as the F-15C? FBW will be modeled? i'm asking because, on the F-15C AFM\EAM\ARI|FAC we got lot of info and a video, and with the Su-27 not much.. Thx [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Reminder: SAM = Speed Bump :D I used to play flight sims like you, but then I took a slammer to the knee - Yoda

upupandaway Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 (edited) DCS Modules From Overview Video: ED: F/A-18C ED: Su-27SM ED/EDPartner: F-15C (FC3) ED/EDPartner: FW-190 3rd Party: Mi-21Bis Unknown: F-86F Unknown: L-29 (Pretty Sure he Meant L-39?) ED Partner: UH-1H ED Partner: MI-8 ED Partner: AH-1G Unknown: MI-24 Unknown: OH-58 As Well as Others Yes, I have watched that one ad nauseam, but in the first KS-video Igor Tishin talked about "having developed 8 modules (whatever that may include from your list, or cancelled 3rd party projects so far) and an additional 20 scheduled for release within 18 months" (from 6:10 on). There is a slight discrepancy with regard to the number of modules here and this kind of background info about the MiG-29 pit plus your list still leave some room for speculation, wouldn´t you agree? Additionally, the overview is from January whereas the KS video is from September... Edited December 10, 2013 by upupandaway [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Deedle, deedle!
RNeves Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 I'm glad ED is listening about the complaints about the lack of updates.... Keep up the good work. streakeagle Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 I want ED to take as much time as it takes to get the F-15 and Su-27 AFMs correct, but having expected the F-15 in November and now not having any clue as to when it will originally done is killing me. Not to mention the delays on the MiG-21bis that seemed like it was going to be done last year, then by Christmas, now March. Fortunately, I have a great time flying the UH-1H and P-51D thanks to their awesome flight models and even enjoy some F-15C despite the simple flight model. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
FLANKERATOR Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 The Flanker's AFM will be very detailed. It's flight augmentation system will probably be modeled as well as the F-15's. That's what I wanted to hear :) The announcement of the F-15C's AFM has mentioned stunning low speed maneuvrability so we are kind of expecting even more capabilities at those regimes for the Flanker as aside from unscripted 'Cobra' and 'Hammerhead' nothing has been added on the heads up. I 'fee'l that we are slowly moving towards a fully DCS modernization for almost all FC aircrafts. (6DOF-->3Dmodel---->AFM---->clickable cockpit..) Situational Awareness: https://sa-sim.com/ | The Air Combat Dojo: https://discord.gg/Rz77eFj

Rotorhead Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 Woohoo! Awesome Flanker finally gets some deserved love! :yay: Such an important update for me and I almost missed it! Going back to non-clickable cockpit will be step backwards for me, but no matter - just can't wait to kick in the afterburners and enjoy some of its low-speed-high-AOA-awesomeness! Man, I feel like a kid two weeks before Christmas... oh, wait... :D

Abburo Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 Having in mind that russian Christmass is not 24th December, but 7th January I will raise the question: will we have that important update untill Christmass ? :)) Kidding ...
