Ryback Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 The performance in the 1.2.7 V2 beta was normal as always besides an odd mouse bug that was fixed rather quickly. Can't see how the official 1.2.7 can be any different performance wise. Well i didn't download beta version that's why i can't know it :( Sorry.

Yes and now the 1.2.7 Open Beta can become 1.2.8 Open Beta. As for the change logs being identical between Open Beta and Final ... that is the nature of an Open Beta. You release, test, make fixes, and update the beta product. Once the beta product is stable you release that stable version as-is, without introducing any major additional changes between Stable Open Beta and Release. Then you move on to the next round of updates. A release patch change log is rarely much different from the most recent beta change log in any development environment I've ever dealt with. Onward we go! :pilotfly: Robert Sogomonian | Psyrixx website| e-mail | blog | youtube | twitter

Netsk Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 I do miss the engine smoke effects on the latest beta. I can't see them any more on the F15 and Su27. They are not supposed to. They almost don't smoke IRL, only perhaps on engine load changes they make a 'puf'. Only a few DCS aircraft actually smoke visibly IRL, like MiG-29 and F-4. Someone might remember me as 'FlyingRussian' from the Ubisoft Lock-On forum back in '03

Bourrinopathe Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 (edited) Nice to see the 1.2.7 is out of beta. I thought it would be weeks away. Thanks ED! Anyway, I'm having some difficulties updating the thing. I first ran the updater (as admin), it checked the installation then proceeded after a notification about the v1.2.6.9999… and I think I noticed a message about replacing the updater (I was away from the screen). It seems it replaced the updater and then nothing else happened. I restarted the updater shortcut several times but it just displays «Checking for updates…» and disappears. May the servers be busy? Or perhaps I've done too many requests and my IP is blocked and queued for a specific time? Any idea guys? Thanks and have fun with the improvements!
