The ED team should be ashamed of their Afghanistan and Iraq maps. I hope they do something on the same level of work as Ugra Media. I regret buying the ED maps, especially Iraq.

this has been reported thank you -
Hallo, das werde ich ausprobieren! Mich würde interessieren, ob es Hornets gibt, oder gegeben hat, die ein Standard-ILS haben. Etwa bei den LW der Schweiz, Canada oder Spanien? Gruß Leo

Appreciate you jumping in my friend. Sounds like you have a lot more experience on the old girl than me so I will defer to that. I had done some research on this prior to posting because I wanted to make sure it was actually done during the Vietnam war. I will take what I read with a grain of salt because it was online and not in a book. I do have a few Vietnam book references where they were lifting what appeared to be APC's, but I could be mistaken. Appreciate you jumping in and providing your insight and experience. Look forward to our version in DCS being able to do this in the future.

investigating Slave All to SPI fails most of the time
Yurgon replied to LeCuvier's topic in Bugs and Problems
Thanks for the new track! I ran both the original track and the new one, and both of them show exactly the same when I play them. In each case, step 5 from the above list is missing. Here's a screenshot circa 1 second before the "Slave all to SPI": Note how the HUD reads STPT in the lower left corner. Since you describe that the SPI indicator disappears, I'm going to assume my track replay and your mission are showing the same thing: the HUD was never set as SPI, and the "Slave all to SPI" HOTAS command diligently slaved all your sensors to the steer point, which is the INIT POSIT some 3.4 NM behind you. Can you double- and triple-check that setting the HUD as SPI is working as advertised for you, and can you send a screenshot with the SPI indicator showing "TDC" from the track replay? SPI handling being one of the most focal functions of the entire A-10C, I'm not aware of any open issues in the module in this regard and also haven't heard any questions or complaints from the various A-10C communities I'm friends with. -
Great to see so much progress being made on the map, but the highway strips are way below the minimum requirements for the time period the CW Germany map is set in. I urge you to please consider the extensive feedback provided on this issue so far. Other than that, as well as inaccuracies in the SA-2 SAM site infrastructure, the update is looking awesome and I can't wait to try it out!

AH-64 Apache Rocket targeting problems since latest update(s).
BIGNEWY replied to jgreg's topic in Bugs and Problems
Hi, it is working correctly, we have checked. It can take some getting used to but Tholozor has given a good explanation. If you think it is off ensure you have performed a good boresight. thank you -

I understand that games are made more casual for popularity and gameplay reasons. That's why I suggest ED makes the metric version of the F-15 (and, of course, the F-35, but that's another topic) since metric is used in every but 2 or 3 countries of the world. Yes, I'm aware that in aviation most countries use imperial, but the majority of players isn't from aviation sphere (me included). I also understand that many are willing to use feet per pumpkins in their digital aircraft, but many don't.

CBU-99 Zero damage unless scoring a full target hit
Kah0tika replied to Kah0tika's topic in Weapon Bugs
I've watched the interview and he indeed talks about that. I hope they come with some improved damage simulation soon as it's really part of the core system. They don't necessarily need to go full x ray simulation yet but at least come with come simplified working models. -

As far as I understand the FMU-140 radio alt antena does correct the slat range error within normal release parameters. Errors should only arise outside of standard parameters (extreme angles). This seems to be a bug.

Hello figters "You have permission to enter the fairway." Today's episode, with a sea breeze effect, is dedicated to the facilities that will form the basis of your campaigns: from key and major ports supplying troops on both sides of the Iron Curtain to air defense systems. We've created key ports along the coast, which will serve as logistics hubs and naval bases in your missions. Wilhelmshaven Port. Germany's largest port and a vital naval base through which NATO forces were supplied. Bremerhaven Port: Another strategic port, critical for the movement of American troops and equipment to Europe. Rostock Port: The main port of the German Democratic Republic (GDR) – a supply hub and potential base for Warsaw Pact forces in the Baltic. The map reveals the positions of the famous SA-2 anti-aircraft missile system, a powerful shield for East Germany that is both a real threat and a priority target for NATO pilots. The SA-2 forces a complete rethink of flight routes and campaign tactics. The Valentin submarine yard. We show this colossal bunker once again. Have you calculated how many tons of TNT you need? During World War II, the Allies didn't have enough bombs.

Then I would definitely go for the C-101. It has one caviat though - it has no AP, only FD. IFR can therefore be very exhausting. (that would be a point for the MB-339 when I think about it. But the systems failure simulation is the real crown jewel of the C-101 if that is your cup of tea.)

Military Assets for DCS by Currenthill
currenthill replied to currenthill's topic in Static/AI Mods for DCS World
I checked the issues with the antiship missile and the launchers. Something has changed within DCS, that's why the missiles are going slower. I'll have to investigate how this can be fixed. The issue with the launchers not launching is due to a simple mistake by me. I will include this fix in the next fix update. But until then, if you want have them fixed immediately, here are the two files you'll have to replace. CH_3K60_Bal.luaCH_K-300P.lua Thanks. Correct, the asset is named correctly in game, but I did a typo in the change log. -

I think it could be signalled. I also adjusted the polling rate before and used latencymon to find/indicate troubling stuff. I will continue with the USB topology in a bit, hoping there is more stability to gain there. In the end it might be marginal improvements overall, but a lot of small things add up. I must say it feels more stable already. Am also going to dive into my recording settings and optimize those because I always have that running as well and it consumes 5-10 fps.

Meta seems to be confused when people want to do what we do with their headset, yes. They are their own worst enemy. Literally every problem I have with the Quest 3 (which is physically a decent headset) is entirely Metas horrific attempts at software. You'd think that 'What part of "plug headset into a PC and transmit images" was hard?' but then you meet their link software which requires a lot of tweaking, and has a separate, legacy UI to the actual headset UI.

pimaxXR still ok for DCS with Pimax Crystal light?
Zone5 replied to Fingers68's topic in Virtual Reality
PimaxXR or Pimax OpenXR (native)? Quadviews or Native FFR? I've been living on 1.36 for more than 6 months, but would love to be able to actually use the current software version. For me everything above 1.36 is a stuttery mess (I've tried all up to 1.41 and kind of gave up after that...), although 1.36 tracks very reliably with essentially no perceptible stutter/jitter. What's your system? I run a 7800X3D with 64 Gb, and a 4090. -

Bug bombing in Mission 7 or it's me ?
d0ppler replied to pbt31's topic in DCS: F-16C The Gamblers Campaign
I also didn't hit the target. I suspect it has something to do with the INS-drift. Even with the GPS, the INS can drift off enough to make you not hit the target. On a side note : is it realistic to release GPS bombs blindfolded without visually confirming the target? -
AH-64 Apache Rocket targeting problems since latest update(s).
jgreg replied to jgreg's topic in Bugs and Problems
Thanks for your reply, but I still cant make sense of the I-beam. It moves with my head, and not the helicopter nose. It is offset from center of my view about 10 degrees to the left. I'll ask in the discord group if anyone else can use the rockets, and help me with it.
