Mi-24 Rudders issue (ignore trim, move to the left)
Raffi75 replied to Yuriks's topic in DCS: Mi-24P Hind
I suspect it's something like Auto Rudder. Something that's supposed to help, but actually just gets in the way. In every module where I have "Auto" associated with rudder, I immediately disable it. -
Double bug. Simple mission 2 flight F16 baddy taliban in afganistan, ordering the AI to attack it first refuses many times, finally it attacks and goes in guns gun, even though it has 4 GBU12s Even though this is a small simple mission with less than 100 units, the sniper pod tracking breaks, and on the track the pod is a very diffrent place than it was during the mission, I have no had this happen to Lantirn or lieting pod. Zadren started following Upscaling and Sharpness in Pimax Play or DCS?
-
Hiya. Pimax did a recent update to their software that enables upscaling or sharpening natively. The settings in DCS also have options for upscaling and sharpening. Which one should I use? Or should I match both? Cheers.

I'd love to see some retro liveries, as I'm sure many of us will also use the J as a stand-in for other older models, even if not strictly accurate.

OH-6A by Tobsen and Eightball
Mistermann replied to tobi's topic in Flyable/Drivable Mods for DCS World
Absolutely. We do it all the time in "Into The Jungle". I think you may need to select start from ground. -
Been using the CH47 a lot lately while learning and pondered transferring cargo from one vessel to another using the same mission editor setup for ground based cargo, immediately I ran into the problem of depositing the cargo on another vessel but that cargo not being linked to the new home for that cargo, I wonder is it currently possible to re-link the cargo to the new vessel ?? or maybe we need a little update in the logic to allow such transportations between vessels to work correctly ? Quite cool transferring stock from one ship to another whilst on the move

FWIW I have the same issue with F-16C. Snapviews are reset sometimes after a training mission.

You talking about doing the death spiral in? If you are, like, 10,000ft or higher, call tower for a left or right spiral down for landing RWY XX. Tower clears you. Pitch it over and down aggressively to about a 55deg turn. You literally pull out of this thing at like 1,000AGL to line up for landing. This is typically done directly over the airfield with the last few spirals just ever so slightly extended out to help with line up with the runway. I've been in C-17's when they did this, C-130's as well. We've even done this in our UH-60's just for <profanity>s and giggles. It's a very weird feeling inside if you've never done anything like that before and of course the aircrew doesn't tell you when it's going to happen either.

В самом деле деле, ребята, дайте нам Лавочкина, наконец. Никаких же сил уже нет ждать )

Disable any CPU managers. Keep your CPU at factory settings. Cap your framerates so your CPU doesn't choke on some frames here and there.

That would work since it goes to the Install directory, but it would also cause Integrity Check issues. Which is the exact reason, I have my mods use the Saved Games directory, for installation. This isn't a saved games vs install directory issue though. The problem here is, the Customized Cockpit option is not functioning properly, for the AH-64D module. This exact same option works for my A-10C, A-10CII, Chinook, and KA-50-3 modules just fine. Shown here, the mod named 'CleanMFDs' has been selected. However, once I load into the AH-64D, the modified textures are not loaded. i If I take that exact same mod, and rename it to 'Default' it works just fine. As seen below.

I completely agree that the Corsair is a great module that has great potential in DCS, even possibly also the best DCS WWII warbird... And I also very much appreciate the efforts of Mag3, although not the efforts to put a pilot's head in the mirrors. Though you forgot to mention in your observations that the head of the pilot do not appear at ALL in the F-18, no matter how extreme side or up viewpoint or zoom level is used.... I also use "only" a flatscreen.

Main menu mouse "stutter" when ecores disabled
silverdevil replied to samtheeagle's topic in General Bugs
do you have win 11 or 10? general consensus is 11 does better with cpu management. i believe most users have abandoned the various cpu managers. unfortunately i do not suffer any problems with 11th gen i9. -
When we are dealing with FMS one of the most important items would be navigation database. While in MSFS we have been using Navigraph for years, I am not sure what are the plans for this on this tittle. Most aircrafts that we do have in DCS until now did not used such kind of navigational databases. it is true that we do not have too many airports to service compared with MSFS numbers but still I do not think this has an easy solution in DCS, so I am eagerly looking forward to see how the development team has approached this

Where are the FOBs after the August update (Full Map)
FourLokoHassan replied to FourLokoHassan's topic in DCS: Afghanistan
Thanks for the help! Took me a bit but I was able to find them. Here is a screenshot if anyone else needs a reference -
Today I took a flight starting in the air. On my way to an airfield I tried to to stay outside of limits. I landed without killing the engine. If you can afford the time, watch the track and leave a comment please. Sunday-Approach--Landingi (2025_08_17 11_04_55 UTC).trk

First of all a big thank you for working and giving this aircraft to the public. I have a very strange problem that I have not been able to solve until now. When flying the F-104C I have max FPS 130-180 (of course I cut them to 60 fps, frech rate of my monitor). When I try to turn right (only RIGHT) for a while the FPS drops to 8-10. This only happens in this phase of the flight nowhere else. It is something that has never happened to me before in all the years that we have been dealing with DCS. Any idea.???

DCS World 2025 Screenshots and Video Thread

Firstly, I appreciate the effort Mag3 has put in to the pilot image in the mirrors. I am a flatscreen user so I am not able to comment on how the pilot image works in VR. I use Tobii ET5 for head tracking. It seems to me that the main deficiency is that the pilot mirror image is based on a static positioning of the pilot's head / body in the cockpit. When I fly the F-18 for example, I can move my "virtual" head and body slightly sideways in the cockpit to change the field of view I see in the mirrors. There appears to be no ability to move my virtual head / body sideways or for that matter move my virtual head / body forward / back in the Corsair - thus restricting how I can alter what I see in the mirrors. No matter how I angle the mirrors the reflective angel appears to be back to the static virtual pilot head position. Even rotating the side mirrors completely outwards still shows the pilot image which would not be the case IRL. As this is a WIP I am hopeful that, in time, the Corsair's mirrors might come closer to how mirrors work in the F-18. It is a great module that has great potential in DCS.
