My name is Enrique, I’m a 3D artist with experience in visualization and game development, and I’d like to introduce a personal project I’ve been working on: the Fokker Dr.I Triplane, a highly detailed and historically faithful recreation of this legendary aircraft for DCS World, currently in development as a future free mod. The goal of this project is to pay tribute to aviation history by bringing to life one of the most iconic fighters of World War I, famously flown by the Red Baron.   2. Hi With the help from @Thadeyus and @drPhibes, I propose you an updated beacons.lua for West Germany. Radionav freq corrected by @Thadeyus. Airports with 2 runways where only one ILS was working, have now both working, thanks @drPhibes. Hamburg is a little bit tricky as the runways aren't parallel. And the ATC only announce landing on runway 5-23, but depending on wind direction runway 15-33 ILS works fine. ILS frequencies and directions (most the time the Glideslope) have been corrected. I will make a frequency ref ASAP. If someone would indicate me if East Germany ILS are broken, or incorrect, let me know so I can update it. I suppose it wouldn't pass the IC. If you notice some inaccuracies in the modified ILS (wrong frequencies or else) just tell me. I used different sources, but maybe some are too recent. Paste the file into your DCS World\Mods\terrains\GermanyColdWar folder. Don't forget to backup your original file! Use at your own risks Enjoy! Hamburg Finkenwerder: Glideslopes paired to the localisers and on the correct runway. Hamburg, Hannover, Tegel, Schonefeld. All runways ILS usable. Just write down the ILS frequencies of the alternate runways in the Mission Editor. I will make a kneeboard and printable doc of all frequencies ASAP. Hamburg runways aren't parallel, (05-23, 15-33), so depending on the wind direction, you have the choice to land on the best runway. DCS ATC will only tells you to land on runway 05-23, as it's unable to manage 2 runways at one airport. Inverted Ils position and direction on Leipzig Halle, as it should be, runway 29 ILS instead of 11. Modified Pferdsfeld 109.20 (unusable) to 109.30 ILS runway 09. I didn't found informations about ILS on this runway, but let it so, to have one more airfield for ILS landing. If you noticed any bug, feel free to tell me, so I can correct it. RSBN/PRGM aren't treated, as I didn't fly "red" aircrafts since now. I just loaded the L-39C to make test flights, but I have to learn about the rusisan ILS systems. So any feedback about East Germany RSBN/PRGM system inaccuracy is welcome too. New Update 06/07/2025 Damgarten RSBN/PRGM set to 832MHz (channel 32) as it should be.   3. Hey everyone I've been working on a full-fidelity Piper Cub mod, specifically the WWII L-4A variant, for quite some time. Now that it's getting close to completion, I figured it was time to share it with you all. I started this project because I wanted to learn about aircraft physics and flight modeling, so I chose the simplest aircraft that came to mind, thinking I would just write the EFM and use a free 3D model as a stand-in. Eventually, I got tired of looking at ugly models and decided I wanted to take a stab at 3D art, so I ended up creating a 3D model, textures, and animations to go along with the EFM. Currently, the Cub mod features a fully custom EFM that uses a blade-element theory approach to model aerodynamics. This method divides the aircraft's wings, tail, fuselage, propellers, and other surfaces into multiple components and calculates the lift and drag forces acting on each aerodynamic component. These forces are then summed up to produce the total force acting on the aircraft every frame. This approach is really cool because of its simplicity and how it naturally captures complex flight dynamics that occur at high angles of attack, such as spins or snap rolls, without relying on large datasets stored in lookup tables. The EFM also includes a realistic simulation of the Continental A-65 engine and propeller, including effects like p-factor, gyroscopic precession, and propwash. While my primary focus has been on the flight model, I've also taken some time to make sure the model looks decent and is realistic to the L-4A. I chose this particular variant so it can be used in various WWII scenarios, whether early or late in the war, and it will have skins appropriate for the ETO, PTO, and MTO. Additionally, I've included some M1A1 Bazookas, so it has at least a bit of firepower, and we can recreate the exploits of Bazooka Charlie. Some parts of the 3D model are still WIP, but here are some pics of the current state of the Cub.

  4. That's correct. But also, the new DCS core assets will be completely unique from the mod packs. So there will be no issues if you don't update the mod packs immediately. No conflicts between the core assets and mod packs.

  6. Just checked in Google Earth, and in fact, you're right, the whole terrain around the airbase is too low. It should be at an average altitude of 1150ft. Meanwhile, the elevation of the terrain at the East is correct. It's just that the airbase is too low. When you look at Google Earth, and follow the terrain at the end of rwy 05, up to the road, the highest altitude will be 1280ft, which is accurate to DCS.

Thank you very much for your comments, I sincerely appreciate the corrections you are mentioning to me, this really helps to follow the right path and to be able to make a good mod that we can all enjoy . I promise I will put all my effort into improving it and as I make progress I will keep posting new screenshots . Best regards and a hug to all of you. The entire plane has approximately 1 million polygons. I'm currently working on the different versions I need to make for the simulator, with their LODs, etc. Of course, I take that into account and thank you very much for telling me. It's difficult to find a version that's faithful to the original, as there are many heavily modified replicas. As for the textures, I need to retexture everything. As I was saying, thank you very much for your corrections—they help me improve and become more detail-oriented.

  8. I'm Hoping that after all the updates the UH-1H will get a once over visually and maybe a touch up to the PFM.. I mean the ole girl deserves it.. Also it would be nice if they redid sounds and maybe added ARA mods for aerial rocket artillery the 48 shot racks to either side of the Aircraft. Anyway is anything in the pipeline Devs.. Do Any other Huey pilots have a request or wish list items. Note: I'm sure this has been brought up in the past but i was flying my rotor wing aircraft and jumped in the UH-1H on a whim .. and OOOOFFFF she is getting long in the tooth so I thought maybe this may draw attention to it again. She's a good ole girl and deserves an update.

It has all the radars that are detectable by the ALR-46 and are mostly labeled and sorted nicely. Please keep in mind the site is very much still WIP.   10. @BIGNEWY, et al: Here is a more methodical approach to testing the Hornet Pilot survival rate. The Fulcrum Pilot survival rate was 100% on 2 separate runs. I modified the MIZ file to simulate a multiplayer environment. Each side has 10 spawns, each human pilot (me) is being chased by an AI pilot. The conditions are very similar: engage autopilot and wait for impact. I don't play the MiG-29 so I had to manually keep the jet level (the autopilot is foreign to me). All airplanes configured with 60% fuel, unlimited fuel (waypoint action) enabled, all missiles shot were Fox 2s (R-60Ms & AIM-9Xs for the respective side). The track files should play out as if I were in a multiplayer server and jumped into the next available slot. When you spawn into a new aircraft, the previous wave from the opposing force will despawn (had an issue with the final wave of the Hornet test). Here's the breakdown. The numbers next to each status represent the spawned round (e.g. 2 = 2nd Spawn): Take 1: Hornet Alive: 4 Hornet Death: 1-2-3-5-6-7-8-9-10 Fulcrum Alive: 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9 (no 10th spawn due to trigger error) Fulcrum Death: No deaths Results: Hornet 90% mortality rate; Fulcrum 100% survival rate Take 2: Hornet Alive: 3-7-8 Hornet Death: 1-2-4-5-6-9-10 Fulcrum Alive: 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10 Fulcrum Death: No deaths Results: Hornet 30% survival rate; Fulcrum 100% survival rate; combined Hornet survival rate = 20% (4 out of 20 slots resulted in pilot surviving missile hit). I agree with @ricnunes, @Racoon-1-1, & @ruxtmp that the Hornet mortality rate is far too high at 80%. Especially when compared to the 100% survival rate of the MiG-29S. That allows the frustration level to get VERY high. You guys are welcome to run the same MIZ and report on the results. I'll be even more curious to learn more about the tweaked/correct settings on pilot survival rates. If there are some open source docs that pertain to Hornet survival rates after missile strikes then I'm interested in reading about them.   11. Heute stand gemäß TCTP mal wieder ein Übungsflug auf die Range an - Dive Toss und Direct delivery mit BDU-33 in der ED-R 1 Baumholder. Angereichert wurde der Übungsflug heute dadurch, dass in Baumholder eine HAWK-Batterie stand, die heute eine feindliche SAM site für uns simuliert hat, damit wir auch mal wieder EW und SAM evasion üben konnten. Mit dabei war heute mal wieder ein neuer Anwärter, der allerdings wegen anfänglicher technischer Probleme als single ship verspätet losgelassen wurde, während eine two-ship den Übungsflug wie geplant durchführen konnte und bei mehreren Durchläufen einige gute Treffer hinbekam. Die Auswertung hat aber auch gezeigt, dass uns die SAM mehrfach erwischt hätte, wenn dies ein "scharfer" Einsatzflug gewesen wäre. HG10 Alpha und Bravo beim formation take-off. Ein Wittmunder beim pull-up attack über der Range Baumholder. HG10 Alpha und Bravo im Overhead. Alpha turning phinal Buechel RWY21.

  12. Hi I am in the process of building several interesting Railway items for DCS. Low Poly British Locomotives and Rolling Stock ideal to create a nostalgic atmosphere for Wartime 1940`s Normandy 2. I took this Photograph while i was cutting the long DCS grass around the depot ! My Latest Steam Locomotive 2395 She is a huge Garret 2-8-0-0-8-2 A banking Locomotive used on the Worsborough Bank and the Lickey Incline. The Wheels - i developed a technique using hand edited height maps converted to normal maps They are just flat discs with no modeled spokes but look very effective. So each wheelset is just 276 Tri`s theres 10 wheelsets total The total Tri`s for the Garret is just 19,800 The Loco is made of 2 Sections - Forward and Reversed with a join at boiler centre to allow the long loco to follow track on bends. All Wheels and Valve Gear are fully animated. Hi everyone, since there are no charts maps or diagrams included in the Germany CW map by Ugra Media, I want to open the topic here and share/discuss any possible sources and charts we can use for our awesome missions on this map! If you have any period correct charts and you are willing to share them, please do so here. I am aware of the MilAIS.org page which publicises the CENOR FLIPs and other charts, however these are not particularly usable any more since there are several severe discrepancies between them and the map we have in the game. Could you please consider doing a proper MiG-23MLD in the longrun. I know after F-4 comes Typhoon and A-6 but I’m willing to wait 15 years. As long as it’s being done by the blur!   15. Just checked out the CWG map last night for the first time, and all I can say is WOW! I used VR, and it was with quite a bit of trepidation that I loaded up an Apache in the mission editor and took flight in Berlin. I expected lags and other issue, and was SHOCKED I tell you that while I did experience some stuttering and a FPS drop from 72fps to about 54, it was still perfectly fine, even with all the detailed scenery. I picked evening so the lights and sun going down put stress on, and it was still beautiful. I then went to I forget with major AFB on a day flight, and flew the Apache around checking out the sights, with almost NO fps issues, a good steady 72fps. I saw the DCS Mart (nice little addition ;)), moving combines bailing hay, tunnels, on and on. This map is going to be great for the Apache. I did a rough measurement and it's something like 450 NM x 240 NM I think. SO much potentional for some good ol' A Model Apache Cold warfare! I plan on plotting a route some the SW to the NW, and traverse the entire country this evening in my Apache, maybe with Aux tanks but probably just make fuel stops along the way, and just take in every bit of this amazing scenery. So well optimized, and looks fantastic. My only complaint right now would be that there is maybe not enough green variation in the forests, itsa lotta green-green. Going to try some Fall and Winter to see what that looks like. Bravo on that map, well worth the cost, and it's nice to have a place for us Cold-Warriors to wargame that scenario that we all trained so hard for back in the day, I was a Reagan era soldier, (First stationed at Fort Bragg from 85-88 as a UH-60 Crewchief), and we put a lot of blood, sweat, and tears into wargaming the European invasion. There was no doubt in anyones mind that it would be a brutal confrontation with massive losses on both sides.

  16. We fly F-1 as our main plane from over 1 year. Some of us don't even touch other modules. I have no problem taking F-4E out, but mostly we fly at least as a pair. I choose when I want to fight, and when I don't. at 0 lvl I'm faster. My engine is more economic, and when F-4 is out of fuel I still have 20 minutes of flight to rtb. 1 on 1 Phantom has better acceleration in range 0,4Ma - 0,7Ma. Also slightly better Turn rate, but if both pilots know their <profanity> it takes enormous amount of time to see actually visible advantage. F1 fights very well in vertical, if you know when to shut down Hyper Lift Devices. Doing that you can outmaneuver F-4. It's however not easy, and from my most experience pilots half of them don't feel comfortable in dogfight against F-5 or F-4. Personally In worst case with F-4 on my back I start from "break" and drop altitude rapidly in various vertical maneuvers trying to archive rolling scissors with F-4. Then I pull hard to low speed and High AoA. I use combat flaps first, and when second warning siren comes (first about high AoA second about speed under 220kt), I use full flaps. F-4 always fells down like a brick. Usually After that either I become gun solution or separate myself from dogfight. On most CW servers Phantom has artificially made weapon advantage. In spite of the fact that R530 was available in service from 1962 and Supermatra R530F in 1979. Usually we're Equipped in R530 not before when Phantom becomes AiM-7F (on Contentions we become R530(EM) when Phantom becomes AiM-7E2). Compared to AiM-7E2 our R530(EM) has much smaller range. Head on gives us no chance to hit him first without some F-pole maneuvers. Firing it from tail aspect makes much sense on high alt, when it keeps high speed for a long time. On deck lvl, I usually lunch my missile only to loose weight. It's actually very funny. missile starts accelerating, and after short period of acceleration missile flies 100-300m in front of my Mirage with roughly same speed as I have, and then I start catching up. I become gun solution before missile hits the target.

  17. Ich finde die Gazelle gut. Sie ist immer noch "nervös" in der Steuerung, aber dafür auch sehr agil, wie in der Realität. Mit etwas Engagement kann man sie seht gut beherrschen lernen. Die -L ist auch der beste Hubschrauber in DCS, um das zu simulieren, was einem PAH-1 am nächsten kommt. Wer das Einsatzprofil mag, wird die Gazelle mögen. Sie ist einen Kauf wert.

  18. сейчас дело пойдет. я думаю это в плане VDS только начало - кто не в курсе в команду VDS после 9 месяцев отпуска (с его слов) - вернулся mbucchia судя по его настрою - у него много идей как соптимизировать процесс) если речь про корпус аля электоп - то если разобрать - между чипом и корпусом есть как раз место под термоинтерфейс. ибо в стоковом варианте - там между корпусом и чипом есть воздушная подушка, что, конечно теплоотвод не бустит)

  19. Indeed, in other words: fun! Not as boring as a *yawn* Hornet *snore*. Easier to refuel than a Hornet and very stable on approach, much more rewarding in a dogfight, much more exciting kinematics and deadly in BVR Superb immersion too in familiar Heatblur fashion

  22. It's pretty clear why ED has not done the Su-25 yet. This is because they have outright said why. They require publicly and legally available resources. If they can't get those, then it's no bueno. Those resources probably exist for the Su-25, realistically, but they need to find the correct entities to provide them. Then, it's a matter of the allocations of resources. In all, we will get one eventually, I reckon. Also, offtopic, so that's the last I'll comment on it.

  24. The impression I got is, ego the size of Elon Musk's with a fraction of his money and none of his political clout. Which really doesn't help when he's been caught doing something dumb and now has to admit to it. It reminds me of a sea captain who is now rather infamous in my local sailing community. Last year he took a very strong, seaworthy sailing yacht from Oban to Iceland (I was on the crew that sailed her into Oban, you'd have to look hard to find a better ship), sailed her straight upwind into a North Atlantic storm (which everyone but him was aware of, it seems). He got a crewmember injured, ruined the headsail and the engine, and ended up towed into port behind a SAR boat. It wouldn't be so bad if he'd just admitted that he messed up (the ship was insured, though he wasn't...), but he thinks himself the hero of the day, who saved his crew in a storm. That he himself sailed into. Of course, the way he tells it, it's the fault of the previous crew (yeah, I quickly called BS on that), the volunteer SAR crew (yeah, he's gone that low), the weather, you name it. The ship's owner is now stuck with a court case, which will, in a year or two, establish what everyone knows by now (that he's an idiot who shouldn't be in command an inflatable mattress in a kiddy pool) and order him to pay the resulting costs. In case you wonder how he got to be the captain in first place, he makes a living sailing on the Adriatic, and he's apparently OK as a 2nd officer, and sailed with said owner in that capacity around the Horn on that same ship. Which only means he's had every reason to know better. I really do think we're dealing with something similar here. Ron's mentality seems a lot like that captain's, it's always someone else's fault. A bad decision, that was entirely foreseeable to lead to trouble, but it was taken anyway, and now it's a matter of personal pride to keep defending it until the last possible moment. There's a contract they have with ED. They either broke it, or didn't. Between the statements and the leaks, there's a strong likelihood that they did. I don't think they're saying "we should be allowed to get away with this", even if Ron gives this vibe. The actual case is more likely about "we shouldn't be punished for this as hard as ED wants to punish us". The previous communications from Ron suggest that he's not very good at taking it gracefully when he's told "you're wrong, you can't get what you want", but even if Ron is thinking the former, a sensible lawyer would probably push the latter angle. Of course, I doubt a sensible lawyer was consulted while Ron decided to make his public statements. We don't need hindsight to make those statements, or to condemn what seems to be Ron making attempts to use public pressure to influence the case. It's behavior of someone who's losing, and has trouble accepting that. It seems to have worked on some, but it's not hard to see it's BS, even if we don't have enough info to see all the way through it.

Not sure if anyone else has had this problem, but I have 8 panels that use teensy controllers (Arduino with more pins/options) and in most cases 4ish MCP 20317 16 port I2C chips to further increase the number of digital ports (switch positions). That works great, I get tons of options, but... Once in a while Windows will re-assign the UUID to those USB devices, and that changes the role the controller plays in DCS, among other things. Generally I can figure out which panel is assigned to which UUID and by changing file names I get my mapped controls back; something like the F-18 can take over a hour to map out so this is good, but that means changing the name of up to 8 files in every aircraft that has mapped controls. That incentivizes me not to map controls in most of the every aircraft I have for DCS, leaving only the small handful I fly regularly. Seems like a waste. So, my solution was to write a Power Shell script that will take a text file and recursively go though all the aircraft in ~/config/input and change the names of all the Teensy based USB devices so all I have to do is get the input file sorted so the script knows which controller should have what name under the new UUIDs If anyone is interested I can post the script; not sure if this is a common problem or a teensy thing.

  28. Nachdem von HB ein paar lästige Bugs in der F-4 beseitigt wurden, hat die 1./JG71 gestern ihren ersten richtigen Einsatzflug auf der neuen CWG map durchgeführt. Bei schönstem Frühlingswetter in Büchel (METAR EDSB 281400Z 07008KT 9999 FEW054 18/03 Q30.27 BLU+BLU+=) hatte eine Three-Ship den Auftrag, ACM 2v1 aus neutraler Position heraus zu üben. Nach einem ausführlichen Briefing starteten die drei F-4 der Staffel auf der 03 in Büchel und stiegen mit einem "unrestricted climb" aus der CTR, um dann via Pferdsfeld und Sembach in FL160 die TRA205 einzufliegen. Sembach TACAN wurde als reference point für die setups genutzt: Während sich HG10 Charlie als "bandit" bei SEM R-195/5 positionierte, flogen Alpha und Bravo weiter zu SEM R-195/20. Aus diesen Positionen wurden dann fünf setups geflogen, wobei sowohl Bravo als auch Alpha dann mal als "bandit" fungierten, damit jeder die Übung in der Rotte fliegen konnte. Nach den fünf setups, die gut durchgeführt wurden, näherten wir uns dann Bingo Fuel und flogen aus der TRA 205 aus, um dann über einen south entry wieder in die Büchel CTR einzufliegen, wo wir dann nach einem touch-and-go schließlich nach knapp einer Std. Flugzeit wieder landeten und den Flug im Debriefing auswerteten. Bei unserem Flug hatten wir wie so oft professionelle ATC-Unterstützung durch unseren verlässlichen Sven, vielen Dank dafür! Anbei wie immer ein paar Impressionen vom gestrigen Übungsflug: HG10 flight rollt aus dem Shelterbereich zur Last Chance. In der Last Chance, letzte Checks werden durchgeführt und das INS noch mal fine-aligned. Auf dem Weg in die TRA205 Unterwegs zur TRA205, Ramstein AB an Steuerbord. Alpha checkt seine Wingmen.   29. You'll just have to play around with it. Strange, I checked the 1.5.0 package and all the Buk M3 units are present. Well, let's just say I'll be quite busy for a while. Haha, I always do my best to get things done. Well, I quite like to have the assets automatically sorted by type. For example, all the MBTs in one place, regardless of who made it. But there will most likely be a suffix for the credit. I think the prefix is more important to identify mods. These assets will be part of the DCS core.

  34. Legally, yes, however the way the legal hyenas treats the situation doesn't stop us from pointing our torches and pitchforks RAZBAM. They may not have a legal obligation towards us, but they have a moral one, given that it's their name on the (virtual) box, their promises and their hype. ED might be running the e-shop and being the gatekeeper, but it's reasonable to expect RAZBAM to make an effort to avoid harming the community they depend on. In fact, I'd argue that, NDAs aside, ED was doing RAZBAM a favor by keeping a lid on this thing. While I suspect the full picture makes both sides look bad, Ron's desperate attempts at deflection suggest RAZBAM would look worse of the two. In other words, Sandy might be legally prevented from recovering her part on her own (though it still could be morally justified if the money was needed urgently enough), but she'd be fully justified in hating Mickey's guts and treating him like dirt for the rest of his life. Law is not everything, in the end, the reputational damage can be much worse than anything the judge can do. Which is one reason for the NDAs that are being alluded to.

  35. It is monotonic. It gives the (fractional) number of real time seconds passed since the process start. Not affected by OS clock adjustments. The documentation needs a correction, indeed. Thanks for pointing this out. The resolution is at least 1 us (1 microsecond, 0.000001 sec).

  36. Damage that Strasbourg, Metz, Colmar are not planned in phase 3. We are a lot of frenchies here, it will be a great thing if we have one or two airbase to use with the Mirage F1. These 3 AB are historicaly Mirage F1 users... Come on Ugra-Media, just one please!

Die Gewohnheit am PC den Kopf physisch zu drehen, ist ein Automatismus, wenn man keine VR Brille trägt und selbst mit drehe ich instinktiv den Kopf, damit mir nichts entgehen kann und weil ich denke, dass ich das virtuell eben schneller erfasse, als nur die Augen zu bewegen. In sofern unterschreibe ich die Aussage von MiGCap1, eines der allerersten Themen wenn man die Jetfliegerei lernt, ist das Verarbeiten vom vorbeirasenden Terrain, da wird übrigens den meisten auch das erste Mal schlecht, weil der Bregen nicht hinterher kommt. Irgendwann lernt man, das so zu filtern, dass man auf das achtet, was da nicht reingehört, sozusagen. Da ein realer Gegner aber im Grunde niemals von vorn kommen wird, muss ich mir darum im Cockpit auch keine echten Gedanken machen. Was allerdings echt gefährlich ist, sind Flüge über eintöniges Terrain, zB damals, als man in USA bei Red Flag noch in die Canyons durfte und nicht zu vergessen Tiefflüge bei Nacht über die See. Da gehen irgendwann die Bezugspunkte flöten und man muss seinen Instrumenten trauen, bzw. dem WSO. Das auf dem Möpp kann man aber nicht vergleichen, bei den Geschwindigkeiten ist das eher ein schmaler Sichtstreifen, in dem der Fokus scharf bleibt, naja, zumindest bei mir empfinde ich das so, oberhalb von 340km/h xD

There is really no need to dumb down on other members posts if you want to write you own guide or learning points to the OP. I was simply stating a few points i discovered flying the pattern, and not all of them are in Wags videos, some are from other videos others are own observations. Again - my deepest apologies for the gross misuse of the English language

  39. I highly doubt it. Even a scope as narrow as "X variant at Y date, for Z operator" is still too large for ED to finish properly. We've already seen items that are perfectly accurate, even to that narrow scope, be either removed, forgotten about, or not planned for in the first place. Though I don't see any of the people complaining about narrow scopes complaining about that... The Hornet is easily the worst offender here - MSI, TAMMAC maps, CAS page, Nite Hawk, CEC functionality for the MITL weapons etc. But this is even the case where classification, research or technical viability is absolutely not a problem in any way shape or form. In fact, some not-planned for features are present on other modules by the same developer (the Apache gets reduced-load ATGMs, the Hind doesn't; the Hip gets PKT door gunners, the Hind doesn't). Then there's the whole stated goals of the game in the first place, this is supposed to be depicting aircraft accurately - I fail to see the issue when it gets closer to doing exactly that. With that said, I'm kind of of the opinion of Block 3F (at least) or go home. Personally, I'm not interested in pre-IOC aircraft, especially given the overall environment in DCS (which is poorly suited to the F-35 in the first place and having a pre-IOC aircraft would only solidify that sentiment for me).

  41. I just got the 47 and I must say, what an amazing work as usual. Now for the first thing I have seen that some people have touched on these subjects but I want to add a few things. I understand and respect the fact that she is early access. And I personally think that you great people at ED has of course already these things in mind, and that these additions are also obviously not an priority. But these are the things I got a little "disappointed at" (very lightly said, again EA) -- Animated and controllable switches and controls in the cabin area, like for an example the ramp lever. -- Functioning windows in the cockpit. -- Functioning side cabin door and and escape window. -- Functioning windshield wipers. (Even if it doesn't do anything at the start.) -- The ability to turn the FE camera 180 degrees. -- An functioning hoist. (Even if it doesn't do anything at the start.) -- The ability to fold away the seats (Or take away not sure how it is done in the 47.) -- Animated loading in to the cargo hold. -- Ramp sounds. -- Avionic/electrical sounds. (If it even is noticeable in the 47 which I would guess, with it being almost a ruling thing among most aircraft) But generally speaking I think that with some time she is gonna be one of the most interesting helis in the sim, because she already is in my opinion. These are just some things I think is lacking because of the nature of the helicopter I think that these little not really needed utility functions are gonna change a lot. With regards // Backwards.

  42. UH1H v2 like the KA50 or A10 upgrade (or another variant of the UH-1) would both be an instant-by for me! It's the one aircraft I love booting up DCS for in VR - even for just 10 mins to go for a short flight.
