If I take off, fly my mission, and land, when i shut the plane down, do i have to do a norm alignment before i shut it down in order to use std hdg when i start up, or do i not have to do that?

Can someone please explain to me how SPI, "Sighting Points" (OSB 10), and Cursor Zero work in the viper. I understand how SPI works in the a10, it is very logical and just makes sense to me, but i dont get it in the viper.

i figured it out, you need to be more than around 7-8 miles when you call "platform," if you are too close when you call it it wont work

i am connected to acls, i even get the "10 secs" warning when im close to the deck, i just cant get the guy to say "say needles" for the autopilot to work

when i do an acls landing, i cant get the guy to say "say needles." i connect to link4, i turn on icls and tacan, i press acl on the hsi, i contact the atc and say "commencnig"and "platform", but i just cant get the guy to say "acls lock on" and "say needles."

weird, it's working now. i literally didnt change a single thing in the mission. i just got on today and it works.

For me, even when the mission is set after 1986, it only shows INS, not AINS. Has anyone else experienced this?

does every carrier in dcs have a frequency of 127.5? even if there are multiple?

in every startup tutorial i see, it says you need to do the fcs bit test, but is this actually required? when i start up without the bit test, there doesn't seem to be any problems.

The manual says that two things are filtered out. Things with no ground speed, such as mountains and a notching aircraft, and things with no relative speed, such as an aircraft moving away from you at the same speed as you. My question, is why is it like this? Do these both create no doppler shift? If so, why? Since a mountain is not moving, it should create no doppler shift, so it is filtered, then why is an aircraft moving away from you at your same speed filtered out? It is moving away; shouldn't it create a doppler shift? Otherwise, why does a mountain not create a doppler shift? The mountain is still moving towards you. My question is, why do these both create no doppler shift? I would thing one would create no doppler shift and the other would create a doppler shift.

Does anyone else get really low framerate in the Su-30 mod by Codename Flanker? I only get like 20 fps.

i readded all my mods one by one, and its still working fine, so i dont know what caused it. i guess just regenerating a new saved games folder was enough to fix it

I recently installed a sound mod for the huey in savedgames/dcs/sounds, and it was working, but when i removed the sound mod, the modded sounds are still there, i cant get back to the default sounds even after repairing. i have checked the sounds folder and confirmed the modded sound files are not there anymore, but i still hear them in game. (i am using ovgme)

It would be nice if there were a menu to open that would show all jets parked on the carrier. Right now, if you place multiple jets on the carrier in the mission editor, they are on top of each other, and it is hard to select a specific one.

It would be nice if users had an option to change the colors of the multiplayer chat window, or at least increase the opacity of the background. Often times, it can be hard to read the text in game.

I think it would be cool to have the ability to add friends in the DCS client. You would be able to see what multiplayer server your friend is currently in. It would also be nice if there were a way to make some sort of squadron or community within the DCS client, so that you could see what server all the members of the squadron are currently in.

Windows defender says I have a trojan? The file is F14-HeatblurCommon.dll

When I load up DCS, everything is normal, but it says my F14 is not authorized, and it will be disabled. When I go to the module manager, the F14 is not there, but it is still in my files.

Can Armenia be added as a country in the mission editor? Part of Armenia is the Caucasus map, and Armenia used many soviet weapons that are in-game.

Currently, there are three F10 map options that you can select: Map, Altitude, and Satellite. It would be nice to have a fourth, 'blank' option that just sets a black or gray background. In some situations, this would make it easier to see units.

The brightness control knob for the AoA Index and Refule Status Indicator is not working. It is on the Auxiliary Lighting Control Panel.
