  1. No, I took the 1969 version out of DCS then tried placing the 70/80 on a blank map. It still did not show in the dropdown menu. Strangely, in the encyclopaedia, it lists: HMS Hermes 1969 - with a model but no description/history in right of screen. HMS Hermes R12 1969 - with no model, but full history and description. I wonder if they are cross-pollinating each other?? Cheers! Sent from my SM-G998B using Tapatalk
  2. Hey Joey, The ships are looking great. I downloaded the 1969 version and it installed correctly and works. I then downloaded the V2.5 (70s/80s), installed it to the (Saved Games) .../mods/tech/ directory, but the model does not show up in the encyclopaedia or the Mission Editor dropdown list. I am on the latest version of DCS, the historical filter is unchecked, and the show models button is selected. The unzipped "HermesR12" folder seems ok with the same structure as the "Hermes69" folder. Does anyone have any ideas? Cheers! Sent from my SM-G998B using Tapatalk
  3. Yes, the Hornet is an absolute dream to fly. Well done to the Devs. I haven't yet had any landing gear issues, even trapping on the carrier. However, is anyone noticing a sudden pitch up at the ramp? It is quite abrupt to the point where I feel I have to push forward after being on-speed all the way. Unless it is the burble, but I did not experience any significant down draught prior to the ramp. Cheers! Sent from my SM-G998B using Tapatalk
  4. Are you playing SP or MP? A lot of MP missions have scripted allocations of Tacan, ICLS, Link 4, etc, that are technically injected after the mission file is made. For all of this to work on the A-4 (big work-arounds), including radios, all of these parameters must be set in the Mission file (ie in the Mission editor) from the start. For example, in the stock Pretense cold war (Syria), playing off-line SP, I have to change the CV-59 parameters in the script (to get UHF radio frequency for the carrier as A-4 does not have VHF), then in Mission Editor, set the CV-59 to activate TACAN, ICLS, ACLS and Link4 to match those parameters in the script. It then all works for me. Cheers! Sent from my SM-G998B using Tapatalk
  5. Yes, confirmed as well. Cheers! Sent from my SM-G998B using Tapatalk
  6. Probably drift from a strong crosswind. Not much you can do about it, and I don't know if the A-10C had a drift correct for the hud (like the viper and hornet do). Cheers! Sent from my SM-G998B using Tapatalk
  7. Your drop calculations are probably in CCIP, which is a visual process. If you change it to CCRP, you should get your AG radar and TGP back to normal operation with a SPI. Cheers! Sent from my SM-G998B using Tapatalk
  8. Definitely Marianas and Syria have sloping, non-level runways. I'm not sure about Nevada though. Cheers! Sent from my SM-G998B using Tapatalk
  9. Which map and airport? Newer maps support sloped runways and taxiways. Cheers! Sent from my SM-G998B using Tapatalk
  10. No, I think it was before the IP as I thought they had reported "Target at xxx for xx." I'll try after the IP on the next mission. Many thanks. Sent from my SM-G998B using Tapatalk
  11. Hhmmm, AI wingmen (flight) can't find the mission targets in current PG crisis - blue. When instructed to "Engage mission target then rejoin" they can't find targets even when close to the target waypoint. They fly off on a heading then rejoin. Cheers! Sent from my SM-G998B using Tapatalk
  12. Also make sure your parking brake is off. Cheers! Sent from my SM-G998B using Tapatalk
  13. That update was superb. Well done to the Flying Iron team. I can't wait for the SLUF. Cheers! Sent from my SM-G998B using Tapatalk
  14. I have the same happening. The glow of the wands are there (against clothing etc) but there are no physical wands in the crew's hands. Running on 2D 1089P, Track IR 5, latest OB single thread, only the A-4E and HMAS Melbourne mods. Cheers! Sent from my SM-G998B using Tapatalk
  15. Yes same here, as above, the convoy stops, I keep eyes-on orbiting overhead but nothing progresses. Cheers! Sent from my SM-G998B using Tapatalk
  16. There have been reports that you need to go full afterburner for the launch to proceed. Try that. Sent from my SM-G998B using Tapatalk
  17. I'm running i5-6600K CPU, 32GB DDR4 ram, DCS and saves on SSD, 3060 12GB, 2D TrackIR 5 on a 1080P 22" monitor. MT is unplayable no matter what settings I try (DLAA, DLSS, SSS on or off, CPU unparked etc.). When I run ST back on MSAA x4, all smooth again. Such a drastic difference. 18. I've had the same symptoms on a 3060 gpu. I'm running i5-6600k and dedicated DCS SSD. Sent from my SM-G998B using Tapatalk
  19. I have the same issue too. Even going back to MSAA (which used to be smooth) has unplayable stuttering. I'll post a log and track in discord when I get back home. Sent from my SM-G998B using Tapatalk
  20. Haha, we still have the "Australia tax" on everything though because we are the "lucky country". Cheers! Sent from my SM-G998B using Tapatalk
  21. Many thanks for the info. With heavier loads or shorter runways, will it still be beneficial to use the supercharger for take-off (even with water injection too), or is it a cost/benefit ratio thing? Does the supercharger take too much HP out of the engine for take-offs? Cheers! Sent from my SM-G998B using Tapatalk
  22. Fantastic work, Minsky, many thanks. I've a quick question. Can day and night kneeboards be selected by time of day in DCS? ie If it is a night mission, only night kneeboards will display etc. Cheers! Sent from my SM-G998B using Tapatalk
  23. You can change it in all missions to cold and dark in the Mission Editor [emoji106] Sent from my SM-G998B using Tapatalk
  24. There's nothing more satisfying than pounding a light armoured vehicle with those 8 x 50 calibres. I find the jug very stable for stafing. I still can't dive bomb accurately yet, but I'm getting there. It's definitely worth the buy, especially at 50% off sale. You'll get many hours of enjoyment out of it. Cheers! 25. I pull the control column back full, then zoom the view in on the compass to operate it when on the ground. Gets me pretty close to actual mag heading to set the DI gyro. In the air, I look through the control column as best as I can in straight and level flight. Again, close enough is good enough in this situation. Cheers! Sent from my SM-G998B using Tapatalk
