  1. Battery on? Fuel on? Magnetos? Also don't forget just a few seconds of primer.
  2. When dogfighting, I always struggle to get the nose where I need it in the P-47. Very wobbly, especially at high AOA. I always feel more confident in the P-51. Although the liquid cooled engine can be a bit fragile if you get hit by AAA/flak while doing ground attack.
  3. Wow, that looks like it makes a massive difference! The difference between API and APIT is just the tracer component, right?
  4. I have also experienced this.
  5. Engine RPM rises and falls constantly. No issues during warmup but as soon as I introduced the power for takeoff my engine RPM consistently fluctuated and surged. It's happended to me twice since owning the P-47 from release but I still haven't figured out why it happened.
  6. I've also experienced the surging engine. I was messing around with the fuel selector to try and get the external tanks working, so maybe that was it.
  7. Loving this campaign but oh boy, the DCS AI can be an absolute nightmare to try and fly formation off. Will I miss any triggers if I fly away from my flight lead?
  8. This looks like a great tool. Two questions: Are more allegiances going to be added? Can virtual squadron administrators create their own ranks & awards? Thanks
  9. Your AoA indicator will flash if your hook isn't down. So long as your hook bypass is set to carrier.
  10. I believe that is what he means, yes. Undesignate button should make your previously DT2 target an L&S track while in TWS mode. At least, that's how I understand it.
  11. @baltic_dragon I flew the mission again last night and everything worked fine. Direct hit with the GBU-31 and the mission progressed. The first time I flew the mission I remember my GBU wasn't exactly a direct hit. Could this be why I didn't progress initially? Thanks
  12. Yeah, it's the one at WP HOTEL. I am sure I hit it as I got the "Mi-8 damaged" prompt. I kept attacking it as there seemed to be no mission progress and I figured it mustn't have been destroyed. I'll try and send you a track file. ps I'm using the A-10c v2 Tank Killer Thanks
  13. Hi, Loving the campaign so far. Really impressive! I have run into an issue with Mission 5 where the Mi-8 seems to be indestructible?? I dropped a GBU-31, hit it with the 30mm cannon and also emptied a rocket pod trying to kill it! Still no luck! I tried to upload a track file but it exceeds the maximum file size limit. Thanks
  14. Thanks Reflected. I appreciate the majority of these issues are DCS bugs and not campaign related. It's no problem, I just edited my logbook.lua file to pass the mission.
  15. I am currently re-flying this campaign and just finished mission 4. I experienced the same this as the above post - ignored by bandit, no radar calls. For whatever reason I also failed the mission??? I took off, followed the flight plan and then landed without issue, so I'm not sure why I failed it.
  16. See post above. High RPM and low MP isn't good for radial engines. Most likely your prop was windmilling during your spin and this caused the engine bearing failure.
  17. How did it fail at 20,000? Were you in a dive?
  18. Try closing your oil cooler.
  19. Bumping this as it seems it was overlooked in the latest hotfix.
  20. I'll upload something when I get home.
  21. Yes. I went through my normal startup procedure. For what it's worth, I have only experienced this issue in the P-47-30bl1. Not sure if that would make a difference or not.
  22. Hi Last time I flew the P-47 I experienced RPM fluctuations right from startup for the entirety of my flight. I set my MP to give 900rpm on warm up, and noticed that the rpm would drop to around 6-700rpm before rising again to 900rpm? Even during cruise I was experiencing the same 2-300rpm fluctuation. Any ideas?
  23. Wow! Thanks for taking the time to explain this. Makes learning the Jug all that much easier.
  24. Would love to see some RAAF Mossie skins!
  25. Thanks guys, Since this post I have indeed invested in rudder pedals
