You say that like killing many enemies is not realistic. It is. But it also depends on the mission. Not a fault of DCS that you can simulate all kinds of battles. It's a good thing.
-
No such plans but since these are very popular aircraft it is rather a matter of time (very long time) before all of them get their FF versions.

Have you not checked that many previous preorders took 6 months before early access release?
-
They never promised whole Isreal afaik.

I find mouse ok for most of the flight time. Of course I'm not clicking around during dogfight. Many keys are easy to find because of the keyboard layout and keys' shapes.

They forgot to mention the release time as "planned", again. Now let them deal with the backlash.

Graphics representation of Turbines Heat Haze incorrectly
draconus replied to Maltschik's topic in 2D Video Bugs
ATI Driver Version 20.45.40.10 - that is awfully old driver! Please update immediately as a first most obvious troubleshooting step. https://www.amd.com/en/support/downloads/drivers.html/graphics/radeon-rx/radeon-rx-vega-series/radeon-rx-vega-64.html -
Any code is problematic because it needs time, will and money. Fortunately you're in a wish list so you don't have to ask such questions, just make a wish

And what was that date?

This summer.

F4U-1D Corsair Launch | DCS Update | FlightSimExpo2025
draconus replied to Graphics's topic in Official Newsletters
Marianas islands are beautiful, thank you for this map Still very demanding on CPU same as modern version. -
I believe only the DCS installer would do that "automatically" for you.

There are also some egg heads like me who value simulation more than game play comfort so if something is not on the RL HOTAS it's not bound to my HOTAS either. It's fine if it lands on the base buttons though as you still have to take one hand away from the grip. Everything else is mouse and keys.

DCS_updater.exe checks for updates and launches DCS after. DCS.exe just runs the current version. OP probably has the shorcut to this file.

I actually do use mirrors so turning them off is not an option for me. I can also see the head movement depending on the module (F-14 looks great) but the reflection is still wrong and unrealistic more or less in every module.
-
Even fixing the current wrong mirror rendering would be a huge step forward. Stereoscopic view would be a cherry on top. And I don't think it's that taxing - mirrors are optional anyway.

Clouds need to block AI vision / sensors
draconus replied to Fitzcarraldo's topic in DCS Core Wish List
Yeah, I thought the feature would come shortly after new clouds introduction as high priority. Clearly it's not the case. For now we can kinda simulate it in ME. Just set a cyclic trigger that changes enemy's ROE whenever player flies below set clouds altitude. -
It's not an AR headset. You can only see in-game cockpit including the HOTAS as is in the modeled aircraft, not your own. Additionally you can turn on simulated hands which you can control with Oculus touch controls and also control the in-game HOTAS instead of your own.

Potential mistake in MiG-29A FAQ about R-27ER and R-27ET
draconus replied to quantum97's topic in DCS: MiG-29A Fulcrum
Of course but for simulation devs choose one and keep within its capabilities, not every possible version and modification. -
Oh, really? Full price is $69.99, you paid EA price (-20%) $55.99 and you already acknowledged: "As with all early access products Iraq gives you access to the map as it develops, as such some items are still being worked on and developed." https://forum.dcs.world/topic/365676-dcs-iraq-release-faq/

No, I don't agree. No one here is against the Iran map but the country is so huge the argument that we have some parts of it already is a good argument. The idea to make it for DCS is ok but feasibility is poor. So is the reason just because Mike saw some news in TV.
