  1. It still could affect third parties, after this "phone home every 4 days" I am now debating as to whether I will purchase any more modules. I spend time away from home, more than a week at a time, where I do not have internet connection, if it had been mentioned before I pre-purchased the Harrier module I would not have bought it, damn I was looking forward to the F14 too.
  2. Thanks Wags, 27years wow never thought it was that long! While I did have Flanker it was not one I played with much, I really have to wait until the Flight Sim show at the Hilton in Birmingham in 2003 when I got handed the demo of LOMAC and met some of the dev team that built made it, also was my first experience with VR at the show. It really has come on a long way since then, while it is frustrating waiting and waiting I know it takes time, a little info now and then helps. Looking forward to the Coming of Weeks :D (No, not you Kermit!)
  3. Is it the 29th yet? ... 16minutes to go...
  4. Sounds good  My grandson is 8 now, and still loves aircraft tho his dad fancies him as a footballer ... I have little goodies around the house to keep tempting him back ... Only just managed to hold on to that, it's a signed edition by Ian Black ex-Lightning pilot. Would love to have a pit here but not got the time or space to put one up.
  5. Never seen it either and I have been rather close to them at times.
  6. As this bird has no radar...
  7. Yes, as if it is not fixed then all other features are moot if you just slide off into the sea.
  8. I have forwarded my transfer papers to your facebook group :)
  9. Yeah would like to try it again as technology has improved ... though my eyesight has got worse  My eyes don't line up properly and have had to have a few ops on them to keep them straight, I don't even like 3D in the cinema it gives me a bad headache after a few minutes. Still I'm looking forward to trying out for the seat of RIO :book::joystick:
  10. Tried a VR headset once back in 2003 and wow did it really upset me, and that was without moving, only got as far as starting to taxi the Cessna 172 and then had to rip the headset off.
  11. My hope is for a F-14D to make it a complete set ;)
  12. Recently got the tactical Pocket Guide and check list. I wonder how much of this will be incorporated into the sim for the RIO ... lots of work to do even before takeoff :book: :D
  13. If you want some antenna theory direct from the US Navy they have a book on radar and electronic warfare that is unclassified at http://www.navair.navy.mil/nawcwd/ewssa/downloads/NAWCWD%20TP%208347.pdf At page 76 starts the theory of antennas and radio wave reception.
  14. CH47 for me please Alicatt at the stick I could do with some personal transport :)
  15. That's the one :) Nice tech demo and still have my goodies from BAE from the demo, we were there for the Falcon Systems.
  16. Not being to well informed about the Mi24 can anyone tell me which model this is? I was in one about 17 years ago but it had been heavily modified by BAE Systems to integrate it with NATO standard systems, it was more like sitting in the gunners position of an Apache rather than a Russian helicopter.
  17. All those in favour say Aye . . . . . . . "Aye!"
  18. Speaking with an ex F104 pilot last night and he had some interesting tales about it and he liked it a lot more than the F16 he flew after it. But before the F104 I would really love an English Electric Lightning.
  19. Now that would be nice, at least I could get some tips on how to fly it from my nephew :pilotfly:
  20. That was the question I was going to ask: Can I import my .gpx files from my moving map? Like this...
  21. You might find something you can use here: http://uk.rs-online.com/web/c/switches/toggle-switches-accessories/toggle-switch-guards/ or here http://cpc.farnell.com/c/electronic-electrical-components/switches-relays-solenoids/switches-accessories/switch-components/prl/results/4 https://www.digikey.com/products/en/switches/accessories/192 http://www.atakel.com/urun/apem-switch-guard/EN/
  22. I see that the TARPS DI used a Pulnix digital camera, I used these back in the '90s too, they made excellent cameras. Their miniature CCTV cameras packed a lot of performance in a very small package for the time.
  23. They call me Mr. Vinson Can't wait to see the deck crew animated, they sure look good just now!
  24. The other question is: Can you collide with the tether wire on the barrage balloons? and will it tear your wing off?
  25. 688I on the PC and The Hunt for Red October on the Amiga before that. Then Sub Command which has both the 688i and Seawolf classes as well as their Russian counterparts. I have also used Silent Hunter series and have the steel box version of SH3 :)
