I basically just turn it on enroute once I've established my heading. I'd probably even leave it on and hold the trimmer while manoeuvering, but the thing does twist the pedals around which is weird when you don't have FFB on yours.
  2. Right... see: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MNcxDO7c8CA&t=9m20s But on the later ones he has it set to off, like here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IcFDolo4poc&t=4m20s
  3. I guess there isn't since a helo usually doesn't get too fast for an extended gear. BTW so far I just landed the thing like I often did with the Ka-50 and also Mi-8 as well - like a plane. No problem with touchdowns at 150-200 on the speed gauge so far, it just has to be nice and smooth. The trick is to kill the lateral movement prior to touching down, which is a lot easier in the Shark, of course.
  4. I'm still on prehistoric 465.89 and don't even dare to use any kind of AA. Framerate in pancake is now almost as low as it was in VR before the update, not just in the Croc. So I definately don't see a Mi-24 related issue here, but DCS in general...
  5. I tried it yesterday and it was completely messed up with any weapons. But I made the mistake of bringing both GUV pods and rockets so I couldn't even fire off the rockets. Guess that also messed up the trajectory calculations. Even the onboard 2-30mm was totally off.
  6. Works for me, too. But I wish it was as in the Yak-52 where you have to pull the lever, press and hold that button (to put the lock in place) and then release the brake lever.
  7. Wouldn't call this correct as is. Inverting the force effects is an easy quick workaround though, but this is the only module which needs that ATM.
  8. For the record: Even if I didn't have VR, I'd love to see this for TIR usage or even just using the keypad and/or snapviews.
  9. I pushed the thing into a shallow dive with collective set to 15 and even pulled it completely at one point, going almost 350. Nothing worth mentioning happened. Probably not trying hard enough
  10. We really just need some FFB pedals and a force implementation for them in DCS now.
  11. Wondering as well especially since he said this: Just read on the Mi-24 forums that the mod might be causing fps drops and I was just going to get a more recent version - well it's 404 now. Looks like I'm having to fly blindfolded in thick fog again now, which isn't exactly optimal. I just wish ED would do something about it so I didn't have to rely on mods in the first place. EDIT: Thanks for re-upping
  12. It literally stops when clicking (or touching with grip button held) and starts spinning afterwards. Just miss a little sound (like when you touch your CPU or case fan) and it could have some slow down instead of immediately standing still. Anyway, the devs thought of it which is great! #DCSdetails
  13. I also noticed a massive hit. Literally cut in half. But the same applied to sitting in the Hornet instead. All on Caucasus so far. Both Veeeee Orre and Pancake are affected equally alike. That's literally what I was going to check next as it's the only graphics mod I run. Haven't updated that thing in a while (basically since he increased the haze). Since it's just my first flight now and another sit in a new mission and another plane, I'm still trying to sort it on my end. First thought was it's caused by the Riftware, since I had one sensor listed as USB 2 again, replugged it to make it show USB 3 instead. But I had troubles with it in the past, requiring a recalibration. Seems to hit very hard on the CPU if it's not perfectly aligned as before. I love my Quest for its setup simplicity there, but my old potato simply can't run it well enough in DCS Though I notived one thing. Absolutely no difference with mirrors on or off. But when switching them off from within the cockpit, the fps shortly jumps up (in one case it went from 23fps to 35 in VR), but immediately falls back down and stays there. Remember having had that with the Tomcat early on for a while where the general fps also was bad for me. EDIT: No difference with Mustang mod out, shader folders cleared and even some graphics settings turned down quite some. It's weird since I got the drop in Pancake as well, regardless of the module taken, so I don't think Oculus sensor settings are interfering actually (that setup process is a pain in the plot as it has a chance of like 3% to detect the roomscale correctly, so basically when I redo that BS I lose like an hour at least to it until the damn thing catches the friggen controller without nagging about the positioning of the sensors).
  14. How come I didn't notice that? Mi-24 hype does make things And it actually is from btd (Kanstantsin Kuzniatsou), not c0ff. Silly me... That now makes me want a new one for the Croc even though that one is great. But I guess that's in the works, the SC didn't have one initially either.
  15. I think it's great they left it at -20% for now. I wonder for how long. Maybe a month like with the A-10C II package.
  16. Looks like c0ff btd did it again. Amazing theme, starts with some interesting flavour that sounds like "desert" with the typical "Mil" sound in the background (thinking Afghanistan, but also fitting to Syria) and some chill tunes, some Russian voice comms I mostly don't understand, but seemingly something happens out of the sudden when one's voice goes far up (like "Oh sh*t, we're being attacked") - and the Metal/Rock style kicks off Dmitry Kanstantsin 's work gets better and better everytime Edit: Totally didn't notice it's the same track the Mi-8 had all the time, but somehow the Mi-24 made me like it more now for some reason. Hope we'll be getting a new track for the Croc/Hind though
  17. I see his error. We do have MiG28 keys. I was wise and freed up my drive (again) to have around 160GB free of space. Dark Souls trilogy had to be moved to HDD now (since E:D grew so big with the Horizons update), was almost 50GB. The only wish I have it that the installer would tell us before starting the update process: How big is the DL (packed), how much space will it need while installing in total (packed PLUS unpacked) and maybe also how much more DCS will be after it's done. Finally! One of those small, but great things.
  18. Now I see why, completely different timestamp Hurts to see that... must have missed it when watching that trailer the first time(s). Well, my hope always was on Heatblur on that thing. And it still is.
  19. Glad you asked, КОММУНИЗМ comes in many languages ( ) https://mlp.fandom.com/wiki/In_Our_Town/International_versions
  20. Thanks for your effort, will certainly make things a little easier
  21. I rewatched all of them released within the last week around that timestamp (like +-30s), that shot you posted was nowhere to be found. Which one actually?

    VR Titles

You really should get the controllers since you'd be totally missing out without them. Too bad you got the headset without as it will be more expensive in the end to buy them separately. And they're like half the price of a Quest 2 which you could use wirelessly even in another room (in case that would grant you more space fpr playing), connected via WiFi running Virtual Desktop or the new Air Link that it comes with. I'd recommend: On Steam: Half-Life: Alyx Boneworks SW Squadrons VTOL VR Ironwolf VR Vox Machinae Hellsplit: Arena Blade & Sorcery H3VR Skyrim / Fallout 4 Unknightly The Mage's Tale Eye of the Temple (not out yet, but there's a free demo and it's awesome!) On Oculus Rift / via REVIVE on any PCVR: Asgard's Wrath Lone Echo Phantom: Covert Ops Medal of Honor: Above and Beyond (also on Steam, but it's less on Rift and I've heard it would run better there for some) On Quest: In Death: Unchained (there's the original version on Steam as well, but that's not being developed any further for a while now) Ancient Dungeon (App Lab, still free until full release, Steam version exists as well) On both Oculus: Vader Immortal I - III The Wizards + TW: Dark Times On any platform: Moss Down the Rabbit Hole TWD: Saints and Sinners Oh, and if you'd enjoy it, try Vivecraft mod for Minecraft (java). It's great. And some other great games that have VR support like: Elite: Dangerous No Man's Sky (that wasn't great when it was new but I've heard a lot of good words on it more recently) Asseto Corsa Project Cars series DIRT Rallye series Edit: With that name, you should also give Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy's Edge a try.
  23. Has the Mi-24P Menu Soundtrack leaked? There even is an English version of it
