Psyrixx Posted September 18, 2015 Posted September 18, 2015 I think the context is NPC aircraft. IE civilian air traffic that you could build into missions, since the models are done. Not sure whether this will be implemented, but it would be neat for escort missions and/or possibly a hostage rescue scenario. Robert Sogomonian | Psyrixx website| e-mail | blog | youtube | twitter
FULCRUM Posted September 18, 2015 Posted September 18, 2015 Digital COMBAT Simulator. These would have no relevance here. Maybe a tanker eventually but airliners? Why? Not to play with, we have other stuffs for civilian planes, it's just to have a realistic civilian airport, specially MC Carren wich is a very actif airport, so we need only IE flying civilian planes for a more realistic airport and some special missions +1 Psyrixx  [sIGPIC]https://forums.eagle.ru/signaturepics/sigpic62324_3.gif[/sIGPIC] Virtual Algerian Air Force
HiJack Posted September 18, 2015 Posted September 18, 2015 No but we need human flyable AWACS, tankers and transport.
=4c=Nikola Posted September 18, 2015 Posted September 18, 2015 Hope someone will repaint those AA aircraft into real livery. I understand why it cannot be official, but nothing a mod cannot fix. Do not expect fairness. The times of chivalry and fair competition are long gone.

MegOhm_SD Posted September 18, 2015 Posted September 18, 2015 Well if you had the 747 or what ever it is now, you could escort Air Foce One. I possibly could do that depending on whose in Office. Ha! USA_Recon Posted September 19, 2015 Posted September 19, 2015 Purchase completed... check Hope this continues to support DCS to make it an even better sim... also hoping this leads to the eventual Normandy map :) Now... can't wait for DCS 1.5/2.0
sebas1977 Posted September 19, 2015 Posted September 19, 2015 I was prepared and made a big hole in my wallet so the money can get out for this map and the M2000C. With the upcoming release of modules and maps, DCS has a bright future ahead. As for civilian planes, don't think it has use (except for AI trafic). Transports might be interesting someday during a good (dynamic) campaign to get troops and equipment across the battlefield. I dont see how flying an AWACS for 8 hours in circuits at FL320 can be very exciting... But thats all off-topic really... All the credits to ED and the other teams for making this sim!
flyingscotsman Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 Regarding Sebas1977 civvie planes. I wonder if there will be civ air traffic around McCarron? That would be realistic, (I'm not an ultra realistic nut) But a few planes would be 'normal' Don't need to fly them, just AI. Not sure if DCS chief beagle has that in the wings. But I'm in on the NTTR & the Mirage that came out. I would like some Military transports, AN-22 as AI, but appreciate that takes time and effort on those who can make these things, I'll leave it to the grown up's who can make these thing's as I have no skill in that direction. Just really happy that these sims are avaialbe
XeNoise Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 Found my credit card, and bought the map. Can't wait!
diditopgun Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 Hi ! Map is so blurry... L-39 is so boring... Matt can't you show us some more stuff ? What would you like to see? Maybe Wags dancing, or perhaps some cute puppies? 1

Have you though that maybe you just have a bad network connection and the play back resolution is automatically downgraded because of bandwidth? It's not blurry at all.
Silver_Dragon Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 (edited) Not bad if on a far future, NTTR add Naval Air Weapons Station China Lake (NAWS) with the Fort Irwin NTC (National Training Centre) for ground training (CA) and Edwards Air Force Base, and the Point Maru Sea Range to naval air and sea training to complete the 3 arms training zone. I don't know... heavy AI fights and behaviour for exemple. This kind of criticism is not allowed in this forum, sorry. If you have to say that the map at this developement status looks blurry , you have to ask a question, like this: "Thanks for the video! The NTTR is coming along great, very nice. The new colors look very realistic. Are the textures the final ones? Because I think (but maybe is due to the Youtube compression) that they look a little bit blurry at medium/low altitude. Great work though! Already pre-purchased!" And only then you can get (maybe) a decent response/reaction, otherwise you get some very aggressive behaviour. Sorry for the "lesson", maybe you are new to ED forums. Now to what you ask: 1) as far as we know, Matt is doing these videos in his spare time. You just have to thank him for his effort and making us see things before they are released. I know, it's weird that an ED employee has to do these ( today essential ) community teasing and communication tasks in his spare time, but apparently these are the ED politics about advertising. If you have something to blame about, send ED an email or stop buying their stuff, don't get mad at Wags, who's doing a great job imho. 2) If you have some specific request about the news Q&A videos, there are appropriate threads for the videos coming, where you can (IN A CIVIL MANNER, not saying "this is boring" ) ask something you would like to see / been clarified. 3) about the blurry map textures, it has been stated several times that is due to performance reasons. :pilotfly: 2

I wouldn't consider "boring" to be a hostile term either. Plenty of people find the FC3 aircraft to be "boring" yet they don't get flamed for it. I, on the other hand, have got more fun out of them than any of the other modules I own combined. Although I like them all. I would also like to see some AI battles, because if I recall, one of the major upgrades with the new engine is the ability to handle large scale battles without becoming a slide show. 1

BlackLion213 Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 New colors are a great improvement. I thought things looked excellent before, but the new colors are definitely better/more realistic. Seriously can't wait to try it out and I'm glad we now have an estimated release date. Makes it easier to look forward to. -Nick

OttoPus Posted September 21, 2015 Posted September 21, 2015 (edited) I'm having a hard time figuring out if this post is sarcasm or passive aggressive. Just pointing out that there is an etiquette and appropriate places/tones to make critics. Things written like he did, imho just sound "unconstructive blame"; he was clearly stating his opinion about what he saw in the video (which is the very reason a forum exists) in a place it doesn't belong (because it's more a wishlist kind of statement) and in a rude manner, which I found inappropriate. No sarcasm intended (English is not my first language either). Back to the topic, sorry for the deviation. Edited September 21, 2015 by OttoPus OT contents
Dennis Posted September 21, 2015 Posted September 21, 2015 Hello everyone.I understand that if I buy NTTR now I will get two Red Flag missions. My question is:If I not buy now and buy later with full price-do I still get those two Red Flag missions?
