A few more questions.

Upgraded Kuz is only for the Supercarrier owners or will it be in the general game?

And in terms of "testing" the Dynamic campaign in 2020, is that internally or will it be in open beta?

As for the Syra and Falklands maps, are those actually on plan for this year or just an update that they are being worked on?

Yes, new Kuz model is only available through the Supercarrier module.

Too early to really say for sure on testing of the DC. But as with everything, we will test internally, then I am sure some form or another will come to OB.

As for 3rd Party projects, you need to ask those teams... I cant really speak for them, Ugra is busy with Normandy for a bit, so its expected sometime after that.

So it’s confirmed for the Kuz, It’s finally getting an update, but most of the money for the full module I would pay for is going to a Nimitz I’ll never use:cry::cry::cry_2::cry_2:Not sure I can do that. Even when on a crazy sale, that is going to be ALOT(assuming a price of 80) just to get an updated Kuz with working JBD and hold backs. I’m sure I’m not the only one who doesn’t fly the US naval planes. I won’t throw a fit, but I am disappointed. I would pay a smaller sum just for the Kuz update standalone

Fair enough, but you guys should probably hash that out and let folks know the specifics on it before the pre-order hits IMO. Otherwise I'd expect more torch and pitchforks moments from hornet owners.

Hash what out? He's telling you Hornet owners will have a discount for a longer period of time. Normally discounts are over when the product releases.

Any idea of what ED plans to improve in the Mission Editor and when will be added? Tought it will be announced this week, but has not been the case.

I don't understand anything in russian except Davai Davai!

Really interesting are the improvements and optimizations that will be made in the engine, as performance related issues are one of the most recurring in dcs.

Is there any extra information regarding these updates (especially the vulcan api)? Wasn't there something related to the terrain engine to?

...but it still makes it look like the promised discount for Hornet owners will, in real terms, not be delivered, as non-Hornet owners will be able to buy the module for exactly the same price.

Why would a Hornet owner wait until after early-access to buy it, just to get the same discount?

Not available in SP if you don't own it, will be visible in MP if you don't own it.

By not available, do you mean not usable in anyway, or just can't be placed?

One of my concerns with asset packs and similar things is sharing missions through Users Files. If I have the pack and add the ship to my mission, will the mission require users to also buy the carrier pack?

In any case this was a substantial newsletter with a lot to be excited about.

Awaiting: DCS F-15C

You will not see it, as I understand it, the mission will still work, but the unit will not be there. But we will see once it gets closer to release.

Because some of us just got into DCS and the yet another charge so soon from ED on the credit card will be noticed by the admiralty brass :pilotfly::joystick: :helpsmilie:

please, can some official say if the caucasus will also get an overhaul, e.g. airfields(!), trees, woods, more (detailed) types of houses and industrials, ground layers for towns and villages and so on?

Thanks, I see, that's a bit of downside for mission sharing. I guess you could get around it by making versions of a mission for people with/without the packs, though if even more optional assets are added later on that could get complicated very quickly.

Normally after an early access release, the discount for the product is no longer available. So, for the Supercarrier, Hornet owners will still get a discount after the early access release. Is this correct, NineLine?

Hi,

Some great news, but also some bad.

People are already praising the nice points like graphical and AI improvements and I am too, but Channel map, are you serious?

Even though the pictures look amazing and it seems to be of outstanding quality, it's still a bit disappointing. I mean, you can keep saying it's another map, but it's the same stuff we already got : Parts of northern France and Southern England. Would have been nice if it had been some different theater, like Eastern Front, Germany or North Africa. TBH, I really can't understand that choice.

Furthermore, many of the 'new' areas are already included in the existing Normandy map, but to a level of detail that is just annoying, considering the money we are to put into the wk2 part of the game. So instead of delivering these areas we already bought with another scenery, it looks like they are sold again. Don't get me wrong, I'd happily pay a premium for a Normandy 2.0 remake if it was clearly labeled like this and include some quality content. But selling the same areas twice seems kinda fishy.

The other point is that carrier discount for hornet owners. Like there is no discount. Only if we wait until the carrier comes out of early access? That might be another two years? You must be joking. The Hornet was always marketed with the statement that there would be a discount for the carrier. If I got it right, in the early days it was said that the carrier would be delivered 'soon', not even mentioning a price, so people even thought it might be free.

And now you're like : want a discount? Yeah, wait another two years, until then you'll just be treated like everybody else? Maybe you should reconsider this.

Just my two cents,

Bonzo :pilotfly:

i agree that we need finally a cold war playground and no ww2. . . this would be the most admired scenario for the absolutely biggest part of dcs users i guess. . .

What is a cold War playground exactly? Langley, Moscow, DC? If we get Syria from 3rd Party, that opens up the play style (more desert not in the US), same with Afghanistan. I wouldn't want any map that I could utilize all the assets I have purchased. Bring on the Channel map, mixed with the free Marianas Islands, more area to play in.

And as a hornet owner, I'm still pre-ordering the Nimitz, so no sweet off my back there.

Hi.

Why the Arleigh Burke is a payware AI ? Will it include more features than other AI ships ? If yes, which ones ?

Nineline/ED, that's a crazy amount of projects. Very ambitious, I like it. Can't wait for all of the things listed today, it's pretty mind bending the number of new products coming, not to mention the new aircraft modules in the works.

You keep making it, I'll keep buying it.

Secondary System : 14600KF, z790 Tomahawk, 32GB Gskill 6000mhz CL32, Asus 4090, 2x2TB m.2.  VR: Quest 3 for now.

Yeah, so there won't be any advantage for Hornet EA customers for the next two or three years.

Perhaps, i don’t Know. But the question is why hornet owner have to buy russian carrier and su33 in order to have US carrier ? It is only to add more expensive price ?

You have not been told a price yet, we will in due course.

Wait until you know the price and decide if you want to purchase or not then, having extra assets like the Kuznetzov and Arleigh Burke included in the module will be good value for those that do. Hopefully you will feel the same.

x% off is not an advantage?

Or do you mean, "no advantage over other customers"? What would be the point in comparing you to others? Is your gain less worth just because others can enjoy it as well?

Wow what an update, watching like a freaked out hawk, then I choked on coffee right here

I'm perplexed by your reasoning... You get the Russian carrier for no additional cost if you buy the super carrier module and you complain? Would you feel better if they never told you that it includes the Russian carrier but would sell it to you at the same price? Weird ...
