With today's DCS 2.7.16.27869 Open Beta patch,

• New - Airfield Pampa Guanaco
• New - Airfield San Julian
• New - Terrain Detail maps (still WIP) most of the south and parts of the mid to north areas
• New - Some additional cliffs added around Falklands Islands
• New - introduction of vegetation maps in the north of the mainland
• New - custom beaches around Falklands Islands
• New - Towns: Gobernador Gregores, Puerto San Julian, Estancia La Maria, Punta Quilla, Santa Cruz

and SA map install folder size becomes 80 GB .

Yes, my DCS folder grew from 443 GB up to 460 GB  (but that includes also the Mirage F1, which is about 4 GB)

I have nothing special to say except that I really like this map. Been enjoying all kinds of flying on it. 

 

It does make me wish for an improved Mi-8 cockpit, though. Great map for some rough weather mountain chopper action.

Yep.

 

Aside from the map actually being yuuge, I get a better sense of distance with this map than any other.

I believe this is the location of Cullen Airfield. The right side of the screen is from Google Maps. Left side is the F10 map in DCS.
