Simply an incredible changelog! :thumbup:

 

Though regarding the Ropucha I being added to Ukraine and Yemen, has it also been added for the USSR? I only ask as I'm unable to test at the moment (some of my laptop's capacitors went bang and my new system isn't fully there yet).

Edit: disregard, checked this and it appears to be present.

So from the FAQ it looks like you have to run VR in open xr with MT? is that correct? I hadn't actually tried open xr yet as I was fine on oculus as it was... maybe I missed the point....

How many are affected by this?

I had to check my CPU and I have nice low number of 16.

Thank You very much ED, this OB update is really an unexpected and very rich surprise. The download will begin soon, in the meantime I read the changelog and then we'll fly. That's pity for issues related to the SC. Anyway thanks again.

People who have for example a 5950X, or 7950X CPU. The FAQ says those people should disable SMT.

I think they are just showing an example of the command line.

I see no reason why "C:\DCS Open Beta\bin-mt\DCS.exe" --force_enable_VR wouldn't work for example

Is this what you're referring to? Yes, can we get confirmation that we don't have to actually force OpenXR to add the MT parameter?

Yes, I sort of assumed that Open XR wasn't really for oculus users as its all natively supported, but never actually got around to trying it out.

Those CPUs have 16 cores 32 threads so no need to disable SMT. Disable SMT only if more than 32 threads.

  • Fixed excessive amount of triangles and objects when terrain objects shadows set to FLAT/OFF
  • Settings. Add item for Blur Flat Shadows to graphics options
