Relax, ED and Razbam are on the same page, literally:

I am relaxed, think using  suggests that. I am aware of who Vrgineers partners are, EDMS were mentioned in the article as being at the show with Vrgineers.

So what does the future hold? Sorry, but this is getting absurd. This situation was announced back in April.

Legal matter or not... someone needs to officially adress the current situation. It can't be swept under a rug forever.
And in my opinion, the silence is more than a bit disrespectful against the customers that bought the affected modules

Nothing is being swept under the rug, discussions are on going and when we have news to share we will share.

We do not want anyone to die. RAZBAM is a top-tier 3rd Party for DCS, and its loss would be huge. So while people might have harsh opinions about RAZBAM or ED, it's ok to keep those to yourself.

You, the customer, like the rest of us have been informed, umpteen times, in every thread created since the situation unfolded, and it's there to read on the first page. Nothing disrespectful at all.

You're a customer, not a shareholder, nor a stakeholder, your not entitled, no matter what you think and feel, to more than what's already been posted on page 1.

Do you really believe being possible that, after years of litigation and no updates to their modules, RB will come back here and start releasing updates as if nothing happened? Even if the debate ends favourably (whatever it means) for both sides involved?

I strongly disagree. But that's ok. You have your opinion, I have mine.

Why not? My company sued a large retail chain that earlier carried our products to later sell illegal copies of our products

They are still a customer of our products (they just know never to pull a stunt like that again)

This is business, not friendship or family, loyalty lies in contracts (and no further)

What would you expect them to "officially" say?  "Our lawyers have met with Razbams lawyers for 6 hours in the last month and have exchanged 8 legal letters"?  What would that tell you beyond what you could find in the 1st post here?  Any details of negotiations would be conducted in confidence so they wouldn't be legally able to say more than that (if that) and for all you know those could all be discussions of how long of lunch break they were going to take in the negotiations or what time they start in the morning.  I truly don't understand what more people think that ED can say and no one that complains that they aren't saying enough ever seems to say what they expect to hear.

But when I mentioned that I stop buying modules from both companies then it's suddenly "why hurt the company's financial health?", "I don't want DCS to die".

You know what, I don't want DCS to die either. I also don't want Razbam to die. I don't take sides here because we as customers know very little about the situation. What I see are two companies locked in a very unfortunate argument, that does not paint any of them in a good light. To the point, where frankly I will avoid doing business with any of them in the future, if possible.

+1 .. I feel the same, for now I'm skipping on new purchases until this situation is settled, as my trust on this Sim has been shaken badly.

So why go public (when he should have kept his mouth shut) with a Discord that has no filter against ED? If he's not playing ball and Razbam are not a platform, who is going to fail the most. Do you mean "its loss would be huge" to Razbam ?

In short, I can play DCS without Razbam, I can't play Razbam without DCS.

Not sure the top ED management shares this view. Cutting all the Razbam income is not a great way to ensure their survival.

An update on progress would be nice and very reasonable at this point. No need to go into details.

We don’t even know officially if this is a legal matter yet. Community managers, hangarounds and developers of both camps are saying different things on that matter. Last official response from ED CEO was that they are trying to find a commercial outcome without entertaining legal claims.

It’s up to ED what they want to share and not share. And while I’m dissapointed, it is what it is. Hopefully there will be some news before the end of 2024.

Everything you need to know and we can share is in the first post of this thread, we wont be saying any more until the dispute it resolved.

If RAZBAM wants to say things in public they will, that is obvious, but we will not. It is a private matter and should have been from the beginning.

thank you

I also lost very much of an interest of this game as a whole (as a result, you don't see me much around, not flying any plane in the game it self). It feels like I have a lump in the throat ever since this virtual war between Razbam and ED has started. It's a shame, spending so much money for this game through out the years, to all of a sudden loosing any interest just because of it; and it seems like there is nothing much I can do to fix that. I would like to fly, but I just can't.

Yes? Disputes like this probably happen a LOT more frequently than any of us realise, and yet the world is still turning.

The only difference here is that it didn’t stay behind closed doors. That alone probably makes things quite a bit more complicated.

I for one still fly the F-15E, and I’m having a lot of fun with it - despite the obvious bugs that show up when you spend any time with that module.

It’s a superb aircraft, probably my favourite among the more modern ones 🤷‍♀️

In practical terms, if I'd bought Harrier now - which I'd really love to do - would Razbam get their cut?

Dont overthink it. The Harrier is a great module and mostly feature complete. Buy it, enjoy yourself and leave the 72 pages of this nonsense behind.

Yeah, I know, I have trialled it and I'd love to have it.  I would get over of it not being actively suppoorted ATM or the possibility of it breaking in a year or so, but the matter of supporting the developers is important to me.

While I understand that is your opinion, and that is what you feel, its a very narrow view of the overall situation. None of this is good for anyone involved and on the outside certain actions may not make sense.
