Which confirmed what he said about a month ago:

Hey Guys,

Sorry, I am not with IRIS anymore, but I will be around with other companies such as Razbam working with them on some future titles.

That does not preclude a similar announcement two months from now. As long a M2M has control of the model it is their game.

I would have assumed a studio would have secured ownership of (or sole development rights to) a 3D model before they started to develop a product based on it.

IIRC it has been stated by Wags that a 3rd party developing a module does not preclude another from doing the same. Whether both would be able to attain the DCS brand labelling, i do not know.

You can just buy two lower fidelity models to equal one high fidelity one. I'm pretty sure that's how the world works at least

Two low's would equal a medium

I don't see it, not in a tiny niche market like this. Instead of getting two different aircraft, we get only one aircraft and both developers make less money. If sales are poor enough because of the split, it might dissuade future development from one or both companies, or even cause them to fail outright. The company that releases their product first might also get a large advantage in sales even if their product is inferior, which could degrade the quality of both products as both teams rush to take the lead.

yak-130

VEAO are making a Hawk jet trainer which is great. Although I do agree with you I'd love to see a T-38. The F-5/T-38/F-20 shape is beautiful imo :D:thumbup:

While we are on the subject of trainers.. How about the Yak-130?
