Is the Huey on the list of the "modules to complete" from Belsimtek? Cause I think the "visual" options like door gunners without hardpoints, only rear hardpoints and doorless variants will be easy to add and a very nice addition!

I don't know if it is already said, but it would be very nice to look downwards by moving the head out of the chopper for sling load operations as real pilots do.

Really want the doorless option for sling loads. I'm using the rift and currently opening the door to lean out and line up on a load. Doorless and associated changes to flight model and speed would be welcome.

All I really want is for the door gunners to be able to swivel 180° horizontal, and a bit more in the vertical. I found the Lua that governs this, but increasing it makes the gun move faster than the camera.

Have you tried the "prepare mission" Option?

You have to do it per mission, but it should work.

And it is the only helo without this option in the ME and in the mission planner.

 

I use a little mod that I have made to sort this.

Consistent mouse-click logic. Some switches require right-click to flip upwards, others use left-click. Also on the dials: The rocket pair select switch requires right-click to advance, while the intercom dial requires left-click to advance.

the DCS Huey is the best Huey Sim an ordinary mortal can get.

It feels good, it is fun to fly and the Huey looks great.

But it still has room for improvements.

 

- I´m missing vibrations in normal flight condition. Not severe vibs, but the Huey shakes permanently. The ETL Vibs are too severe. I know why BST made it so, but i do not think it is necessary.

 

- Some instruments should oszillate. The Airspeed indicator oszillates approx. +/- 2Knots at 90 KIAS, the torque indicator increases oszillation with increasing torque, approx. +/-1 psi at 50 psi.

 

- With rapid left cyclic the torque does increase, with rapid right cyclic the torque reduces, both momentarily only and in fwd flight.

 

 

Should be enough for now.

The YouTube tags work only correct on all platforms if you put the Video "tag", the cryptic part after "http://youtu.be/blabla=" and before %t=whatever between the Tags.

Especially when using Tapatalk on a Smartphone it is often troublesome, as you cannot right click and copy the link text to get the link...

 

Like this (YOUTUBE]xvKLcMwOg90[/YOUTUBE) changed the brackets to have it visible as text.
