Eldur Posted May 31, 2020 Posted May 31, 2020 Found it... didn't pay enough attention to what's written on the cowling in the first place, it just somehow looked like a bearcat, but with differences. https://www.boeing.com/history/products/xf8b-1.page
grafspee Posted May 31, 2020 Posted May 31, 2020 Is Thunderbolt as heavy as Anton? What's hp/t on both? Is Anton slower/heavier? Anyone? Thanks Much heavier then Anton. Ercoupe Posted May 31, 2020 Posted May 31, 2020 Is the Thunderbolt as heavy as the fw190 Anton!!?? You aren't into WW2 airplanes , I'm guessing.
Legioneod Posted May 31, 2020 Posted May 31, 2020 Is the Thunderbolt as heavy as the fw190 Anton!!?? You aren't into WW2 airplanes , I'm guessing. P-47 was heavier. Max weight on P-47 was around 17,000 lbs iirc, maybe even heavier for the P-47N with it's higher fuel load idk though. EDIT: I think I misread what you meant, you were responding to an earlier post correct?
Brigg Posted May 31, 2020 Posted May 31, 2020 Omg omg omg it's happening, when a module gets its own section on the forums you know stuffs about to get real. I'm giddier than a teenage girl getting her first training bra right now
wizav Posted June 1, 2020 Posted June 1, 2020 Is the Thunderbolt as heavy as the fw190 Anton!!?? You aren't into WW2 airplanes , I'm guessing. Anton 4.3 tons (Guns+Fuel) 402 hp/t (1730 hp) P-47 5,7 tons (Guns+Fuel) 456 hp/t (2600 hp) **still not confirmed** Everyone talks about 7 tons... but that's maximum LOAD!!!!! As you see difference isn't that great. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

As you see difference isn't that great. Max load is around 8.5 tons (17,000lbs) not 7 tons (14,000lbs). It could be overloaded but I don't have the figures currently. Combat Load for the P-47 was 13,200 lbs (6.6 tons) Empty weight of the P-47D-30 was 10180 lbs (5.09 tons)

Thunderphantom Posted June 3, 2020 Posted June 3, 2020 I see that many English-speaking channels are commenting on the P-47. but I don't see any of them speaking Spanish. I propose these 2 channels. Well, the update is taking it's time today..17:00 BST here and still no changelog posted yet, let alone the update itself.
