  1. Past hour
  2. The problem with the ground weapons was that I was mixing them up. Using the MiG-29A's original settings, I can launch. Now my challenge is to hit the targets. In OPT mode, I have to activate the laser, but by the time I do, I'm already on top of the target and don't have time to activate, align, and release the bombs. I dive to over 10,000 feet. I can't drop the cluster bombs.
  3. Hi, please do not share NATOPS links here check out our 1.16 rule at the top of the forum thank you
  4. L-39 should work as it uses our system, the MiG-21 as mentioned in the change log will need to be adjusted (note: MiG-21bis from Magnitude3 is not compatible with this RSBN/PRMG system yet).
  5. I assumed (and perhaps I'm being an ass) the locked tail wheel (and for the sake of argument let's say it's currently permanently locked, with only 40 degrees of range), is spring-loaded to return to centre. This sping loading is easily overcome by differential braking and careful application of power when there's no wind, but any wind acting on the large tail surface area, it will take considerably more effort to turn the aircraft. Isn't that what we're currently seeing, or perhaps I've misunderstood what you're saying?
  7. I don't have DCS setup currently.. but offering to help understand the functionality of the button and light. It seems it's very very often misunderstood... over the years various skins, languages/translations and manuals have described it and it's operation incorrectly. Even been called 'squelch' in one cockpit translation. In ham radio we call it an ATU or Antenna Tuning Unit, though not technically correct, it's a device that matches the antenna impedance to the radio transmitter. How it should work... 1 - radio reception should work at all times with degraded signal strength when not matched It is not a 'must' be matched for receive to function situation. 2 - Transmit, depending on radio may 1) Not work at all, 2) Still work at reduced power (fold back protection) or 3) Work at full power.... until the radio fails. 3 - Depending on the design of the unit, it is either a motor that drives a tap on a coil to add the required inductance to the antenna to match the radios output impedance. (Wanted to, but can't find a good pic right now) Also could be a series of relays selecting from a range of fixed inductors and capacitors eg: https://www.hamradiostopclassifieds.com/icom-ah-4-auto-tuner/ The Tune button's action is dependent on the setup of the tuner. In my experience a single press operates my tuners, which are microprocessor controlled (21st century tech), this will engage a tuning cycle and then the action will cease once a match has been found. If this tuner worked this way then i'd expect a push, and then the light would indicate matching activity, with the light extinguishing once a match is found. Other tuners it might need a continuous press, with the button able to be released once the light extinguishes. This does seem odd, as a latching circuit would have been relatively simple even in the 50's - 60's. Being a radio geek I'd love to learn more about the real world unit, and would love to see the tune bug fixed.
  8. Just installed this and it looks great! Does anybody have a PDF of the NATOPS so I can start this thing up? Google has loads of false links.
  9. I fully agree! I own almost all ED airplanes & to me the MIG-29A sets a new standard when it comes to flightmodel. This is my personal opinion but I have to say the MIG moves and behaves in the air like a jetfighter should. I felt the same way with the Kiowa when it comes to helicopters. It felt heavy but very reponsive at the same time, not twitchy, no oscilation, very good response to thottle inputs, balanced acceleration and so on. L-39 is another great example of a solid flight model. The MIG-29 belongs with those two aircraft for sure.
  10. Yeah, I was about to say that after watching your track file. It's also written in the manual (page 31 of the current version of the English manual):
  11. Yeah, thats because I forgot to remove the mods before sending the log, sorry... If I remove mods all these errors will go away, but I have the same loading and menus issues even after removing mods and performing a repair, so I dont think there is something wrong with my dcs.
  12. Those new RSBN-PRMG vehicles are also compatible with the L-39 Albatros or the Mig-21? If not, any plans to make it work?
  13. Recent earthquake?
  14. Do you realize that this kind of threads only serve to drive away any potential new customers of this aircraft? which in turn only discourages ED from investing anymore on it? you are shooting onto your own feet here ... and why it needs updates if the aircraft has no real serious issues?
  15. The 14600K is quite a bit faster and it should probably help quite a bit. That said, I would advise against getting that processor unless you also run productivity software that benefits a lot from the e-cores, since you are buying into a dead platform, and cannot do a cheap upgrade in the future. With AM5 you can go for a solid upgrade with big upgrade potential, for example by getting a 7500F (from Aliexpress), 7600X or 9600X. The former is especially good value for money. For AM4, we saw that AMD released fairly cheap X3D CPUs for AM4 once they released their new platform, so going this route probably allows for a big upgrade for relatively cheap later on. You can then keep your motherboard + RAM + cooler, and only have to drop in the new CPU. Another option is to directly go to a 7800X3D or 9800X3D. Then you have a processor that is top of the line (and substantially faster than the 14600K or the cheaper AM5 options) with still a reasonable price (in particular the 7800X3D).
  16. Really appreciate...thanks a lot!
  17. I did think that I'd read recently a comment that ED Dev resources were fully directed onto the Mig29. Whilst I assume that excludes devs working on say Vulkan or the maps, that does still infer that no dev "effort" is being spent on older modules. It would be good to clarify either way what was meant by that, as it's not a good look to infer that modules already paid for are ignored just to allow onboarding of something snazzy and new.
  18. If you are using a Force Feedback device and your pitch trim is felt through the roll axis you will need to tick the Swap Axis option in the force feedback sub menu of the Pitch or Roll Axis control in your controls bindings
  19. OK, someone on Youtube says Ekran needs to be tested before engines are on
  20. After the AFCS auto check, that moves the stick around, you lose the center trim BOTH on roll and pitch. Trimming manually until lights are on is not enough for a perfect neutral trim, specially on roll Channel. Use Ctrl+T to reset trim before take off and you should be good to go.
  21. thank you for your report this has been sent to the team for fixing
  22. have the same issue.
  23. просто двигает ручку при тримировании
