Hello Chuck, do you plan to make a guide on the OH-58D Kiowa?
-
The only information we have at the moment, is that Razbam modules will continue to work throughout 2.9.X If you read between the lines, that basically means support is running on its last legs, and the modules will either have serious issues or stop working altogether in 3.0.X (there likely won't be 2.10.X) - unless something changes and the dispute is resolved with an outcome that benefits end-users who are owners of the modules.
-
I wouldn't dwell too much on Spitfire parameters as a base for Mossie tweaks. The former doesn't have tyre spring and damper properties simulation of the latter implemented, plus we don't know how the difference between rubber stack of Mossie gear is simulated vs gas/oleo gear in all other DCS warbirds. Not to mention lines which might be coding leftovers not used in simulation at all.
-
Absolutely. Indifference, Ignorance and unawareness (and to a lesser extent inability) is a big part of the problem. As it is in every issue, be it politics or anything. But precisely for that reason it is important that those that are at least somewhat capable and knowledgable fight back as hard as possible.

Yes, please. And for some reason ED won't do it for their own modules, so please pave the way! -
No sign of a windsock at Biggin Hill. Would be nice to have one added to the new improved airfield. Not sure if any other airfields are missing them as well.
-
We have teams that work on our modules, including a smaller team for WWII, our resources are finite so we have to be very careful about how they are used. As mentioned we still have some features from the store page to complete for the mosquito and as soon as the team are tasked with completing them by a project manager they will be completed, I can not say when that will be currently. I will ask the team to make a list of the work they still have to complete for the features, and they also have some bug fixes and tweaks to make. They will be done, I just can not give you a time frame yet. I know it isn't what you want to hear, but that is the situation we are in, we need to continue to be patient for early access to be completed. thank you

The navigation instruments go crazy and eventually (CTD)

We have a patch today... maybe they'll fix it. -

Your response on the first page said there is more work planned which shouldn't need to be said since being in early access automatically infers that there's more work planned. What I'd like to know is what is the planned work, what is the timeframe for this work? Is it this year, next year, the year after? Will updates involve AI navigator or is release simply a matter of bug fixing? I'm using the mosquito as an example but I have numerous early access modules that aren't really progressing (the mosquito is just the most blatantly left behind one).

Zabuzard replied to randomTOTEN's topic in Bugs and Problems
Uhm, but was it behaving differently beforehand? If not, I doubt this is a "bug" and probably more an intentional feature. Ofc the better approach would be to just offer two variants of binds: one for instant ejection and one for pressing 3x, as we did it in the Phantom. So thats a reasonable feature request -
Persistent problem. My aircraft has stopped seeing the external fuel tank.
Zabuzard replied to ASW's topic in Bugs & Problems
Smells like an oversight in the code. Detecting ext-tanks in DCS is super finicky, thank you.- 1 reply

Yes, it is always present. But for a very short time.

Sweet. Yes I have had many many many instances where ChatGPT was wrong (mostly outside of DCS)and I had to keep on pushing and bringing other stuff in the equation for it to also constantly change its mind on me I believe the same applies to its DCS knowledge, which of course it takes from all sorts of sources. I have tested my setup with every setting/tweak imaginable and found that not all mainstream recommendations work for my setup. So I am happy it spotted a bunch of crap and helped me to get rid of it. Soon I will return to regular testing and see how the changes hold up. Maybe for some I revert back to how it was.

I think if majority of average PC users really cared about privacy or OS bloat or ads invasion or software ownership that much, the whole internet and hardware industry wouldn't be in such intrusive state as it is now. But it is, which means to me that most of average Joes probably don't care and will accept any Win11 shenanigans without thinking about it too much. I live in EU, so will most likely hold on to my aging 9700k + RTX3070 build with Win 10 till next year, but then, when time for major upgrade arrives anyway, I'll read more about this Mint thingy, as I can see this one seems to be mentioned here most often (when talking about non-gaming activities). Would love to see Vulkan DCS released by that time as well, but I'm not holding my breath for it.

Миссия 1980 "Небо для героев" [Афганистан]
Andrei replied to FooxLee's topic in
Excellent point! I use Skatezilla's excellent GUI Updater/Launcher app for this. And in it I simply name the different installations so I have full control of what to launch and update. That said, you bring up something important. When the "last" version, well latest version I want to keep before updating to a version that might not have compatibility with older versions. I will make an offline backup copy I will store on the shelf, just in case. Storage is peanuts these days. And in the event that someone else need it, I will have a prefect mod free copy. Cheers! I made a mission to double check and what happens is that 2 of 4 helos refusing to take off vertically. The Blackhawk and the Blackshark always take off via rwy. I also tried having only one of each in the mission but the behavior is the same. Though I haven't tried all choppers in the game there seems to be something not right. cauc_helo_vert_t-o_test.trk

- Thanks. I'll try modifying a few values around here, but I am not hopeful as there is this comment on the block which seems to indicate that is is just another function they have not bothered to complete in 4 years of early access. - until pneumatics compression not implemented

Yes, gaming in VM only works for VERY lightweight games. However, gaming is not my main concern when it comes to windows. Other than my gamer tag and how much I suck at various games there isn’t much to learn…. But for now, I can at least exclude MS and their associated data brokers from sniffing through my office and (really) personal data. I would still love to ditch MS completely though. I like Mint, it is as close to Windows as it gets (when it was still good XP, 7, 10 (apart from the telemetry BS)). Every Windows peasant will immediately find his way around once he learned what the applications are - if even different from W. But the beauty of Linux is, that the flavour is merely an interface. Beneath it is all same and you can stitch it together as you like (but you don’t need to).
