Please treat each other with respect. As you are already aware the Mig-29 is something we would like to do, however at this moment we have no news to share. thank you8 points

Thank you. There is no exact release date yet. Let me just say that we are at the final stage of the 2nd phase. As soon as we finish it, we will start testing the map with the second phase enabled... I don't think it will take much time6 points

Teils / Teils.

Not sure about that since HB still hasn’t officially acknowledged that they missed the release on any of their Social Media Channels..6 points

Such damage to the wing should not empty the whole fuel tank. It is quite obvious that F-16 uses a simplified damage modeling that does not belong in a simulator.5 points

the tank lining should seal even a 20mm hit that passes straight through the tank leaving an entry and exit hole (lets say AP ammo, not APHE). currently even 7.62mm creates faster fuel loss than a boom tanker could fill up using pressure to get fuel in fast.. funny how thats still an issue needing evidence after about a year. i can not imagine the fuel loss from such a hole to be faster than a refuelling boom tankers fuel transfer speed. Not to mention that the tank is not just a simple bucket but has internal segments that would limit the complete loss of fuel due to damage to one cell. you also lose all fuel if an external tank takes a hole until you figure it out and jettison it. wonder how that works i get that the viper can not withstand the same amount of damage as a A-10 and thus is more fragile than other airframes. but still it isnt made out of cardboard or paper5 points

Déjà vu. I reckon I've already shared with you videos and possible something else showing you that the Phoenix is different, but it performs its role of long-range missile perfectly (ergo, PK ~40%,50%). If multiple kills at 60nm, and up to 75 nm vs Veteran and Ace AI are not enough to convince you, nothing will. And before you jump on the "BuT mY pVp" train, have a look at how many Cold War servers allow the AIM-54. AFAIK, no server allows the Tomcat to field the AIM-54C when all others have is the AIM-7 at best, unless there are other restrictions. I have the feeling you expect to compare it to the year 2000, AIM-120C-5 we have in DCS (AIM-120B, 1994). As if comparing the designated successor of the AIM-54 (since the AIM-152 was scrapped in 1992) vs the original that pre-dates the Tomcat itself (it was meant to be used by the F-111B) or its mid-80s upgrade, make any sense, right? Last time I've played online, I have seen F-14s flying at 15,000ft and launching at flanking FFalcons at 50nm that were down in the weeds. This guy launched 4 missiles to two targets, then banzai'd and died in 2 nanoseconds. I have the feeling you are employing using the same logic. If not, send us some TacView tracks.5 points

Hi, lots of ideas here, but we have no plans to change how the free trial system works currently. thank you5 points

Jupp, guter Hinweis.

Any other skins not done by me need to be reworked by their authors, in order to include the improvements. Which means user made skins and default skins need to be reworked. If not, they will continue to work just fine as you know them. I will release these new improved textures with some of my existing skins in the coming few weeks.4 points

Thank you for the update. Then please correct me if I am wrong but that sounds like: It will not be worked on in Q1 2023 There is no guarantee it will be worked on at all in 2023; depending on if Eagle Dynamics are able to hire an employee solely / primarily to work on the scripting environment as no existing employees will be assigned to working on it.4 points

Et peut être notre nouveau HUD..............ETC Je pense que notre producteur Vidéo Préféré KAZUMAWA va nous montrer tout cela, merci a lui SOME INFO ABOUT THE FUTURE UPDATE We realigned the combustion of the missiles that had moved, we redid the HUD support plates which were a little too thick and shifted this one we have integrated 3 new clickable functions the firing authorization (LA), activation of the Gun and activation of the landing hook on the Rafales Marines. And maybe our new HUD..............ETC I think our Favorite Video Producer KAZUMAWA will show us all this, thanks to him4 points

@Karon's experience matches mine. It's fine when used with the correct parameters and with the understanding that there are issues with both the AI's omniscience and the terminal guidance issues that are on ED's list of things to work on. Please share your tracks with the devs in your thread if you would like your continued participation in this thread to be treated with any level of sincerity or seriousness.4 points

Yes, absolutely. But I also feel like I'm just waiting for CA to see some improvements.....patiently....since 2011. In real life ground combat will always be the most important domain in the multiple domains of combat. Despite what most DCS players think, the air component will always be a supporting operation to the land component within any Joint Task Force. That's just how it is. Seizing and retaining terrain will always be the most important part of war. I believe that DCS has a game engine that has potential for large-scale, combined arms combat. I own a bunch of aircraft modules but I mostly find flying to be boring and tedious. However, but the idea of commanding large formations and operations that integrates combined arms is more interesting to me than anything.4 points

Hey guys, this is reported internally and already some tweaks and fixes being checked, I will leave this open for any more data and examples as well as for when fixes come through. Edit: looks like we are testing a new option to turn off flat shadow softening.4 points

Now the tail is reworked as well with new rivets, seams and panel lines. I have some comparison shots. But I wanted to finally take some pictures in game. I also added scratches and dirt to the canopy.4 points

Is it possible to get a official roadmap for the BS3 , what features are planned to include? there are so much missing things in the shark. Like contrast system for locking targets , missing key binds, visible damage from inside the cockpit and so on.3 points

DCS is free so what cost of entry? The PC to run it? There is also a group of people that simply won't buy anything as long as they don't have to, ex. abuse trials and free stuff.3 points

okay in all fairness it was 2 hits. (12.7mm x2). still veeeery far from "shredded" and even further away from how this fuselage looks3 points

C'mon @Dragon1-1, stop with the $80... There are super cool modules available for about $35, several times a year.. That $80 barrier you keep mentioning is only to those who either don't do pre-orders, or have no patience. Each their own choice, but no one must spend $80 to enjoy DCS3 points

I don't follow your logic ... you are saying that poor people should be allowed to play DCS for free? because I don't see how a poor person can afford a computer able to run DCS in the first place3 points

We have checked the tracks they are using the older presets. We are currently working on changing older missions for the new cloud presets, but this will take time. In short with the newer presets you should see improvement thank you3 points

nullfuel leak.trk One hit to the right wing with small cal. still causes total loss of fuel! 1. FUEL QTY SEL knob out of NORM should stops automatic forward fuel transfer (A/B man, 3-123) 2. Viper has self-sealing tanks 3. even a big hole in FW/Right fuel system can't empty every drop of gas so quickly3 points

I don't see why a whole thread had to be created for it; Opinions like this could easily go into one of the more populated threads... And get lost in there too.3 points

That's a shame... for you. Not much point hanging out round these parts for you then I guess. See you around, don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out.3 points

Isn't this an apples and oranges comparison? AutoCAD's 1-year subscription runs some USD 5'000 a year, and it is used to generate income for you. So your purchase decision depends on how well you can integrate it into your daily workflow, and how much it attributes to your yearly income to refinance that cost. None of that applies to entertainment titles. Here's a counter-point: all I got was a 1 minute preview for Avatar II (with limited replay value, as after a couple of re-runs it got stale), and I had to base a similar purchase decision (USD 80 for my family - plus snacks!) on that - for a measly 3 hours of entertainment, with zero replay value without re-investment. I think ED's 14 day free trial looks positively stellar compared to that, as you can try different modules, and re-try after just 6 months! That is because if a business invests a person month or more to integrate some software into their production process, that business is locked in. A vendor can afford to be lenient when calling their dues - the customer won't run away without having to write off that initial integration investment first. This doesn't apply to games at all.3 points

B-8 grip is what the F-4E has. Trigger for air to air, pickle button for bombs, AAR button for uncaging missiles and disconnecting from AAR, Trim hat, nose wheel steering button, and an autopilot disconnect lever. Thats it for the stick grip.3 points

To be honest, that´s the reason I bought CA, so yes. From time to time, I don´t feel like hopping in the simpit, putting on the VR headset etc. and instead just drive around with keyboard and mouse. But it´s really the "combined" part that interested me the most. Being able to drive around in a recon vehicle and lase targets for the other guys that sit in an A-10 or something, taking out SAM sites in a ground assault so your buddies in the Hueys can land safely... stuff like that.3 points

I got one - kept checking NowInStock and saw NewEgg had just got Gigabyte 4090. Added to cart and quickly Pay Pal'd it and now have official confirmation of my order - at MSRP (1709) baby!! Will be here tomorrow!!Woohoo!! See all I had to do was fuss a little lol. Btw NewEgg still showing some Gibabytes for anyone interested. Get it while it is hot.3 points

Oh yeah I get it, when I reported it I put some AA units on one side and BMPs on the other, then watched the reaction time and accuracy of both, the BMPs stomped the AA units. From what I can see, but have not confirmed is that the BMPs and other ground units like them are able to look 360 degrees at all times, which should not be possible obviously, I mean I could see having a crew of a few guys all looking in different directions but the reaction time would be horrendous compared to what we see now. Its the trick with AI, and something we fight against even with aircraft AI, making them smart enough to be interesting but dumb enough to be real This was a subject of the poll I did last year as well, about spotting a tank in a forest, AI can see the smallest part of a unit where a user could not see it at all.3 points

YAY!!! I was just reading the initial DCS A-7 Corsair II thread, thinking "oh no, there's still no progress since August/22" , wondering if the development might have stalled. Then I noticed FlyingIron Simulations has its own dedicated section in these forums! Such an awesome development progress report. That's exactly what we all want to see, from time to time, until the module is released. The A-7 Corsair II was an aircraft which my country (Portugal) proudly used for many years, and one I've seen flying around since I was a kid. Later on, I even watched (mesmerized!) a group of two in ground combat simuIations, during exercises back in my days in the military service - impossible to forget those memories. So, it's no wonder it's a module that I've wished to have in DCS for years now. Your progress reports make that desire even bigger - eagerly waiting for the A-7 Corsair II module! Thank you team!2 points

I agree. I've rarely read such a detailed, honest and proactive report. There're moments of waiting that seem endless, but when such a report is sent, one is even more willing to wait for the next update. Thanks a lot, good job.2 points
