  1. It really is the first EA I have not purchased in 10 years with the limited info given today in the news about it, I already have the F4E and full Afghan map on pre order and was realy hanging out for this helo, I was excited to see the news until I saw this. Highly detailed external and internal modelling, including cockpit and cargo hold Unmatched helicopter flight dynamics that only DCS can provide Fully interactive, VR-ready cockpit I mean that's a bare min for any module even not released and just for internal testing 10 weeks out from the said proposed release date in the trailer and either they don't know what features it will have in the DCS world or are really not willing to tell us ??. Realistically its a logistics chopper so we know what to somewhat expect in DCS but this needs to expand that role in the DCS world of logistics with the likes of it being a mobile Farp (Fat Cow) seeing logistics in side the chopper which was shown in a screen shot and some more, this means base code needs to be added to the logistics core part of the game to support that. I'm really at a loss as to why this information cant be told to us, they will know what's its intended use is and should have a least a baseline list of features for this module that were in place when it was decided to develop it, or what was the point of adding it to the DCS world, to just fly about ??

  2. Credit to u/Zanderzoo_ for pointing this out but is this shot depicting the Inner German Border? A tease of a possible Cold War Germany map? BT-9-looking observation tower (albeit a squat-looking one, real thing looks skinnier and taller) is what really stands out to me here. The pillbox seen here kinda looks like one of these.

  3. No pre-order for me. Pre-ordered F15E. Frequent delays. Pre-ordered F4E. More delays. Now F15E hanging under a cloud. Have ‘lost that trusting feeling’. And I get a feeling that borders on disdain from ED towards people with this sentiment on these forums, as if we are the problem. Gaslit. So yeah. Hard pass for now until things get better.

  4. I would love to have the confidence to purchase some of ED’s ‘Pre-Release’ modules and maps. However, as stated elsewhere in these forums; I have decided to postpone any further intended upcoming purchases (Kola, Afghanistan, F-4, Chinook etc.) Until ED & Razbam make clear public statements that their ‘spat’ has been resolved and that the three Razbam items I have purchased will continue to be developed and supported!

  5. You are very welcome HighMaintenanceB. I really appreciate it. It keeps me going. Thanks. Last night I spent some time in Substance Painter playing with textures on the Italian Frigate Comandante Cigala Fulgosi. Rust and weathering will be added later. I'm just trying to figure out which textures work best on the model. I think I have ironed out the best Hull and deck textures. WIP!! As mentioned before. I will not set a release date. Stay tuned. Thank you all.

  6. "Full set of features will be announced prior to early access" Well, I'm deeply concerned about this change of attitude to pre-order offering. Honestly, this does not look good. Actually very bad in scope of timing with events with Razbam. Deeply concerned.

  7. Nice to have a delivery date for this helo, but I will wait a while yet before purchasing, until the Razbam issue has been resolved, as it has hit me pretty hard since I own all of Raz modules, particularly dear to me was the South Atlantic Map.

  8. Am certainly not buying it. DCS is missing a lot of logistics and troop transport functionality , that any of it exists at all is thanks to the hard work of independent contributors . Also and even more importantly , ED now starting pre-order sales without even first publishing a feature list, leaves a very bad taste in my mouth. Just to be clear , you don’t even know what you will get for your hard-earned money.Certainly don’t want to support such business practices. I find it a very bad decision.

  9. in the comment of the CH-47 preorder video on Youtube, Ed said that the release of the F-4 is before the release of his Ch-47 in june, and then...may...is Pharelease!|

  12. Good Evening everyone. I have released the Iranian Frigate IRIS Alvand with liveries of the IRIS Alborz (72) & IRIS Sabalan (73). The flight deck area is too small to land a helicopter unless you land sideways but it will be a tight fit. I think it was placed on the ships for cargo drops. The Alvand classor Saam classwas originally a class of four frigates built for the Imperial Iranian Navy. They were renamed after the Iranian Revolution and served in the Islamic Republic of Iran Navy during the Iran-Iraq War. Three still remain in service. A fourth was sunk by the U.S. Navy in 1988 during Operation Praying Mantis on 18 April 1988. Located by two American A-6E Intruders of Attack Squadron VA-95 steaming roughly 16 kilometers (10 mi) southwest of Larak Island, she was hit by two Harpoon missiles and four AGM-123 Skipper II laser-guided missiles. A pair of Rockeye cluster bombs from the aircraft and a single Harpoon from the destroyerUSS Joseph Straussfinished the destruction of the ship. Thank you all for your patience. Please notify me if you have any major technical issues. Enjoy!

  13. Will not be pre-ordering anything from ED until work on DCS: F-15E is resumed AND an official timeline on development and release date is published or I'm issued a full refund for that abandoned module. Extremely disappointed and unsatisfied with the state of things right now.

  14. Forgive me, but how can ED be ready to offer a module up for pre-purchase and yet not be ready to tell us what the EA features should be, let alone what they should be at full release? I mean, I don't even know what I'm buying into right now or what I'm supposed to expect from my purchase. As such I'm incredibly hesitant to entertain preordering, especially with this being somewhat of a running theme for numerous anticipated features.

  15. I agree. Not going to buy it. In the past, like ten years ago, I would buy it in order to "support this small developer who makes this very niche product for my entertainment". But not now, I've already have lots of unfinished modules, that quite frankly, I need to learn how to fly and fight on them. And although the Razbam debacle is not directly related to this, it sure left a bad taste in the mouth. I wish for those buying much success. I believe it'll be a great module and lots of fun. As for me, I'll pass for now. I'll be on the outside observing how the release and updates go, and once I decide it is mature enough, I'll end up getting it on a sale down in the future.

  16. The Ch-47 is being sold on the same e-Store where I bought all my Razbam modules, so it is pretty related on my view ...

  17. My first foray into the DCS World has been fairly successful. A few wobbly circuits flown, Tacan navigation is working, and I've got most of my keybinds set (although I have to now remember where they all are!). I haven't yet even used VR, until all is ironed out. VoiceAttack is set to give all required commands to Ground Crew, plus "live pause" (which I've needed a lot!). This is not a "game" for me. Contrary to many assesments of DCS on Yootoobs that seem to think the devs should churn out low fidelity models to fill the gaps for pure "gamers," I'm trying to properly learn to fly in this sim, not just fling rockets down range. Weapons systems will come later, but I'm loving the realism. I hopeit doesn't become what many seem to want it to be. There are other games out there that cater for casual gamers. I haven't even switched the Master Arm on yet, and I'm loving DCS! I'm not a total notice in terms of aviation, but there is a lot to learn in a jet. I have no plans to upgrade from the F-5E for a good while yet!

  18. Alvand's coding error has been resolved. That's what happens when you tamper with the mod before release. Thanks again Mmarques. Iranian Frigate IRIS Alvand

  19. I don't get how ED can start selling pre-orders without even defining which the product entails. Even more so since they name a specific release date on the other hand. I don't want to support this business practice and won't pre-order it.

  20. Yeah, and I'm really sorry about that. Unfortunately, some real life events have pushed me away from DCS for the time being.

  23. Until that's listed I'm not buying it in EA, honestly this should be front and centre now, how can you expect people to buy it not knowing what they're going to get. Sent from my CPH2333 using Tapatalk

  24. That wouldn't fix the issue. The issue is that early access is a good faith transaction that eventually the modules will be completed. However the devs can evidently just quit at any point leaving the module in an unfinished state. If modules can be abandoned in the early access period then we can't do business. I need a guarantee that what I paid for will be delivered now. At this point my trust in them has been completely eroded. I can stand delays, I can't stand having my money stolen.

  25. I've been buying and flying ED products since Flanker 1.0 came out. I've organized LAN meets in the past. Anytime a new module entered the pre-sale it was an instant buy. Having pre-purchased the full Afghanistan map, I've had buyer's remorse for the first time. No matter how cool the Chinook is, no more purchases for me until the Razbam situation is resolved with continued support for those modules, and my trust in ED is restored.

  26. Sorry, but with the continuing F-4 fiasco, there will be no more DCS pre-orders for me. I'll wait till it's released and pay full price.

  27. That is sort of the point of Early Access, to allow people to get their hands on it before it's done and help in development. YOu can love the Lancaster mod, as I do, but you don't need to take shots at us. You can wait till final release on our stuff as well. Thanks.

  28. Sorry, I respectfully disagree. It has everything to do with ‘us’ - Consequent to Razbam’s statement development and support for three of their products I purchased has stopped!!! We were ‘notified’ of the situation by ED through the public statement they chose to publish.

  29. Two ideas: 1. Even though ED has said time and time again that NTTR is complete and will see no additional features in the future (which is a sad thing to he honest), people won't stop cluttering the forum with those wishes, so ED needs to keep it in a constrained area to keep the forum clean. 2. ED likes to torture people by making them believe a wishlist forum makes their wishes being heard and then making them feel the pain of being ignored while hoping in futility. Other theories?

  30. @sirrah have you checked out DML Tool box by @cfrag ? - He has a module for helotroops where you can drop them off anywhere and if they are within range (which you set) they will head off to find the enemy to engage, without the need for plotting way-points for them. Its not a mod so if you build a multiplayer mission with it, anyone who joins the map can take part, does not have to pre-downloaded by them. You can also pick them up from anywhere as well. I have created two scenarios on our squad server using it, one is a town assault and the other is Spec Ops pick up from random locations.

  37. Pre-order is also a way to 'vote with the wallet' on core development. Pour some coal on the machine, so that it may churn out more of the goodness in the coming months and years. BTRs that don't outdo ZSU's in air defence for example.

  42. Dare to want it all! I watched Neil take that small step on live(ish) television, and like my electric jets, but I also like steam gauges. Unfortunately my simpit isn't very electric Shinook capable (all those 5x5 MFDs don't work as well with 9x7 screens) but I pre-ordered it anyway. Once I got the page to work. After I restarted the browser. Looking forward to more piles of shredded pixels where once well modeled helos once appeared. I think I've wrecked more AH-64s than Boeing has made. No reason not to give the same care and attention to this one!

  43. I completely understand your love for steam gauges. But for me, born before Neil took one small step, I want all the fancy tech toys I can get my hands on. It's 2024 and I want my space ship.
