Post-Release points: SPO15 - We saw discussion about SPO-15 RWR operations with onboard Radar, we gave elaborated explanation so far here: https://forum.dcs.world/topic/379025-spo15-feedback/page/7/#findComment-5697327 We saw some questions about mobile RSBN/PRMG stations usage. And just a reminder we have a guide for it here: https://forum.dcs.world/topic/378920-rsbnprmg-ground-units-usage-guide/ And Wags video on navigation and landing using RSBN/PRMG here: https://youtu.be/w4QTNLkMZEk AP oscillation problem is a priority for our FM team currently and we want to tackle it next. Some players reported difficulties with radar use, mainly due to incorrect mode selection. This update includes several radar fixes, and documentation will be improved to clarify proper usage. Check latest video from Wags for Ground Attack guide in DCS: MiG-29A Fulcrum: https://youtu.be/iUHbn9UcBeg Known issue: Currently the HELMET COOP mode usage sequence has a bug if RADAR state was OFF, before mode was activated. As a workaround to correctly Lock a target using the radar as the supporting sensor in Сooperative mode (COOP), the radar must be on (ILLUM-DUMMY-OFF switch must be in the DUMMY position) BEFORE activating the IRST modes (IR, CC, HELMET, OPT). For this mode you need to also switch IRST modes using the CW CCW switch movement and not use the keys 3, 4, 5, or 6. Activating IRST modes using the keys does not ensure target lock by the radar as an additional channel in Сooperative mode. We plan to correct that for the next update. DCS: F-16C Viper by Eagle Dynamics Fixed: Hot start left cheek pylon switch incorrect on hot start. Fixed: Crosshair and Point Track Box hidden during XR Processing. Fixed: Slight Zoom change while XR processing. Fixed: ATP A-A TGP stops tracking target after emergency jettison. Fixed: TNDL Transmit Power doesn't transfer correctly to the plane. Fixed: Incorrect "spool down" sound on startup. DCS: F/A-18C Hornet by Eagle Dynamics Fixed crash in radar. I think that any helicopter will benefit from having this new trim mode. Polychop devs included in their Kiowa, and then in the Gazelle, a new trim option called "Fade In/Fade Out". Which works just like the Instant Trim Option we have, but instead of instantly move after hitting the Trim it has a buffer time of a fraction of a second. That gives a noticeble more smooth action for the user, instead of the jump action that Instant trim provides right now. Since its not an entirely new mode its should not take much dev time, and it will result in a great QoL improvement for the user. Easy to test for the devs. Just install the Kiowa and select the Fade In/fade Out, and see how much of a difference that it makes on the user experience. Here is the description of that mode from the manual of the Kiowa, in context with the othersnull6 points

In the training missions, all airspeeds and altitudes are given in knots, miles and feet, which is quite useless in a jet that originally used metric units. I guess changing the voice overs would be quite expensive, but could you please change at least the text to also mention the values in proper units.6 points

Its been a while in here, The external model is now in a place where we are happy to release the lancaster AI version! It by no means finished in my eyes, but I doubt that it ever will be considering how many hours it took to get to this point alone, thankfully theres no hour counter on 3ds max or photoshop. There's a few areas that arent up to my standards but i think that they are minor enough that majority of people wont notice, should hopefully have a AI release for you all very soon! I know your next question is when the flyable version is, it will take time. The interior still needs massive modelling work and the flight model needs debugging to make it a smooth and authentic experience, so please have patience, we want to release this more than anybody. Ill leave you with some screenshots for now null image.jpgnull6 points

To whoever in the ED team reads this, we all only ask that real, honest consideration is given to this topic and that a proper dialogue is opened. MV (and MV2) were created at some point in the past, exactly why i do not know. but they were created for a reason, and whether by intent or not MV2 is critical to making liveries. passionate and talented skinners produce work for free to enrich the player base and add value to the overall product. It saves ED time, and money. it saves 3rd parties time and money, again leading to a better product. Comments about "we made skins before modelviewer" are not helpful. Ive seen many skins from that era nad they are nowhere near the level of quality achievable now. The F5 competion debacle proves this point, skins of the current expected standard require MV2, or access to the 3D model and a licence for Adobe Substance. We all appreciate the desire to protect IP but it is a sad fact that stolen 3d models are availabe within days of a launch and encryption hasnt changed that. We all enjoy and respect the product that ED provides or we wouldnt be so upset and without access to MV2 for any future encrypted modules, the whole game will stagnate and lose players. ED, you may disagree with me or choose to dismiss my observations. But without high quality skins, mission and campaign makers will not continue because they can only make missions for skins that ED provide, forcing ED to use expensive dev hours to pump out nation, year, squadron and mission appropriate livieries. The nature of the player base is THAT WE ARE ALL NERDS. So are ED programemers! they wouldnt last programming such minute detail if they didnt have a love for it! The demand that the buttons in cockpit have "the right clicky noise" or the correct fuel burn rate for the altitude and temperature. The correct colour red for the squadron badge. Skins are not an afterthought, they are an integral part of the experience. Putting time into getting MV2 to load encrypted skins is a priority and ignoring that now will only lead to ED having to spend money downstream of the problem which wil lbe more expensive than fixing it now and allowing the huge free content community to flourish. Please ED, work with us and let us help you. Fish5 points

Hi, we have now assembled Vietnam War Vessels 2.1.0 and are testing it internally first. The RF-101B Voodoo will be included, but there is still stuff todo: KNOWN LIMITATIONS RF-101B The landing gear doors and covers don't close perfectly The landing gear suspension is not animated The BORT number should be five digits, not three The pilot is generic rather than specific for the Voodoo. Development of a custom Voodoo pilot is out of financial reach, if interested in sponsoring one contact TeTeT There are no pylons present currently, not even for fuel tanks The front gear is not animated for turning Anyway, here a teaser image:4 points

I mean, why not just make the launching of model viewer with it's ability to view encrypted models, limited to launching from inside DCS or better yet, the DCS launcher, the way the updates are started. You can check DRM etc etc. then on launch, it shuts down DCS and we can simply use the new Model Viewer which can view encrypted models. But please, as mentioned, the files themselves need to be unencrypted and viewable. I don't understand this decision? I also, find the similar phrase of "We made skins before model viewer" to be gas lighting and extremely condescending. We're not children. We're mostly grown men. I can't speak for others, but I know like many of us, we're professionals. Working in many cases along side the real world counter parts to many of the things in DCS. Please, we do all of this for free for the community and as hobby. Help us help you make the best decision that won't hand tie us, and that won't put you into a corner in the future because of what could be a myopic stance in the short term.3 points

Bin playing with the Mig-29A, and really loving it... ... BUT it would be really realy nice if a K version could be added (or sold seperatly) The K version is the maritime version (like most of you know) with a reinforced frame and gear, better radar , improved smokeless engines ... and is able to do aerial refueling. It feels like a bit of a wast not to be able to the hook this baby up with a IL-78D at FL3003 points

no idea about the Mirage F1M air-ground abilities. But maybe they could be better than the EE. I understand the frustration about the M2000 Razbam vs ED conflict, and that there is no more updates on the M2000. Take a look about the real Mirage F1M about air-ground abilities, and for sure, they will comes out with the Mirage F1M when it will be finished. As told above, developping the F1M is in my opinion, a new challenge for the AERGES dev team. So they take the necessary time to develop and test everything, to bring out a new module that is almost perfect. Of course they could be some bugs or errors that would be revealed by pro pilots. But I'm pretty sure, all functions would be approved by IRL Mirage F1 pilots before they would be validated on DCS, and before a release. Keep in mind that for the price of one mod, You have 3 working mods that were updated on most of every DCS update and that the upcoming F1M will be included too. As I touched the world of modeling and developing for a little bit compared to what AERGES brought out, I can only say, thanks to them and just encourage them for the future developement of the Mirage F1. I personnaly would love to have the Mirage F1-CT with working telemeter and working Corail pods (chaff flare pods) and with the dedicated panels as real flyable aircrafts into DCS and why not the Miage F1-CR with a real recognition aerial photos working one day, but I4m still happy to use the F1-EE with skins to fly the "virtual" Mirage F1-CT from the RC 2/30 Normandie-Niémen where I did my military service in 1998-1999. AERGES make me dream and let me be a virtual Mirage F1-CT pilot as I couldn't make it IRL. So I would thank them for the great work again, and wait patiently for the next update of the Mirage F1. And tell them that all my minds are with them to the development of the next generation of the Mirage F1M, and maybe, one day, we could have a full functional French Mirage F1-CT and CR too. As a French enthusiast of the Mirage F1-CT (I spent 10 mounth of my life with pilots of the Mirage F1-CT from the 2/30 Normandie-Niémen, when I did my service in France), I dream to have a full fidelity F1-CT in DCS but that is on the wish-list; more than an order. Every update of the Mirage F1 from AERGES is for me a gift that make me feel alive and make my dream comes true.3 points

Moreover the repair manual indicates that the blocking circuit is tested with 2us pulse, while the 29 radar runs HPRF at 6us (166khz), so clearly that blanking circuit can handle a PRF 3 fold higher than the radar PRF. Sorry man, pretty much every tech manual about the SPO-15 talk about a blanking circuit for the radar. And one that runs fine at HPRF. Like honestly this is not a hard problem to actually solve. Like literally every radar does this. What seems to be an issue is that this blanking circuit due to the way its designed, can become desynched with the radar, which leads to the SPO either giving erratic signals (as documented in a few manuals as "MAY HAPPEN", or ofc if its totally out of whack, the SPO overloads/is damamged and presumably has a protection circuit to shut it off (again, very simple, ham radio level circuit).3 points

Alright, so we have a out of sync, unserviced MiG-29 lacking parts for the SPO-15 post WP. Even when multiple real pilots that are confirmed real pilots talking that yes it would still work if the radar is on, and documents are proving it. Meanwhile there is also the magic RWR for all F-16 and such. Man I had my hopes up for this release, but now its pointless.3 points

I left the answer here to all the rest of the community: Unfortunatelly there wasnt much progress on the project. Its not dead but on hold for the moment. I hope to have a little more time in the following months.3 points

It would be good to be able to do it. And also to have a kneeboard page with the frequency for each channel (like for the waypoints). At this time there is no way to know what frequency is in each channel if the mission maker does not write it in the mission briefing3 points
