  1. There's something similar happening with the Spitfire, where hot oil temp that goes off the top end of the gauge doesn't affect the engine. At the moment, the temperature to watch is the coolant (don't let it get over 130C), since oil temperature for the inlines is somewhat irrelevant now.
  2. Going to add a +1 to this. Got my pilot knocked unconscious a couple times in the Spit, and while I blacked out in first person, I could still control my aircraft just fine. Only noticed because I looked in the external camera after I blacked out.
  3. I noticed this happening as well, same altitude roughly. It starts at around 15,000ft ish at the default atmosphere temp, and the needle keeps jumping around until about 17,000, where it stops jumping and steadies itself out as I continue to climb. It starts again as I start to drop altitude. Only seems to do this, like the OP said, if I push the boost past +10
  4. YES. Add head limits. The ability to break my head through the canopy and cockpit walls is one of the most immersion-breaking things in DCS, for VR users. And by a very large margin, it doesn't bother users. Too many people are afraid they'll get issues with it. Honestly, give one, two, three days max and you'll be used to it and you'll feel like you're actually sitting in a tight space...the cockpit A poll I made regarding the head limits in BoX: https://www.strawpoll.me/42395322/r
  5. I wonder if UGRA would integrate these textures into the map as a default. They're just so good
  6. Yeah try with buttons. I have mine bound to a up/down switch.
  7. +1 to this, lever is not moving correctly. The flaps on the wings themselves operate fine however. Just the flap lever animation is weird
  8. +1, second load into the mission will crash DCS
  9. If you load the bitter barrels, once dropped the models immediately changes to the pale ale barrel model. Additionally they explode on impact, as if they're a bomb. Also they accelerate into a spin as they fall. But mostly it's about the model changing and the exploding like a bomb on impact.
  10. When the propeller is viewed from the front, it will be obscured by clouds. However from the side, it is seen through it.

    P38L

I would rather a P-38J-15. It fits Normandy, there were quite a number of Lightnings in the skies at that time. We already have a Normandy map, why not complete a plane/map set first
  12. We don't have the 109G6. The 109K4 is completely irrelevant to Normandy. So please bring on the G6. Also, the Channel map is hardly used, irrelevant to any of the current aircraft, and has its own historical inaccuracies
  13. More visual effects would be great. Even for the mesh track fields, running aircraft kicked up quite a fair bit of dirt. Some of the oil smoke for cold engines and cold engine start would be great as well
  14. UGRA really really needs to show their face in this community. Communicate, acknowledge problems, etc
  15. Update: my post on page 10 has had its User files link approved, and the post has been edited to include it
  16. With my half hour that I have left, I'll make my submission. 396th Fighter Squadron of the 368th Fighter Group. This is a general, all purpose livery. Meaning it can be applied across a broader scale of environments than skins historically decorated for individual pilots. This scheme is historically appropriate to the subvariant of P-47 represented within DCS, the 47D-30. At the time of this scheme, the squadron was posted in mid to east France, such as Metz (early January, 1945). It is compressed to BC3 format. Included with the skin: *CHANGEABLE AIRCRAFT ID LETTER (excluding the C2 squadron designator) *CHANGEABLE AIRCRAFT SERIAL # (420###) *CUSTOM REDRAWN AIRCRAFT ID AND # FONT TYPE *AIRCRAFT ID LETTERS FEATURE BRUSH STROKE WEATHERING (At this time, this skin has been submitted to the UserFiles, however it is still pending approval. In the meantime, the download is in Google Drive here) https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1-mu7pFYryA3rYZ3OEbCiSLWlFNqCN6Db?usp=sharing **LINK IS NOW IN USERFILES: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3315411/
  17. Hello Barthek, me again Was wondering if you are able to retexture the grass fields. Specifically the roughmets, I suppose. For some reason the runway and taxiways don't match the surrounding grass at all, it's extremely shiny and bounces light like it's green ice
  18. Thanks for keeping the server going as long as it has, Phil! It's really awesome seeing it near the top of the most populated servers list on a semi-regular basis
  19. Since the update to the radial engines in DCS, I noticed an odd behavior with the oil pressure in the Anton. The pressure while warming up (1100 and 1500RPM result in the same oil pressure) is high at 15 kg/cm2. What is odd is that right when the oil temperature reaches 45C, the oil pressure will immediately drop to roughly 8 kg/cm2. I would normally expect oil pressure to gradually decrease as oil temperature increases, not instantly drop right at 45C. I have a link to a video on Google Drive, showing the moment of the pressure drop here. Additionally here is the track during of the time of this video here. It's from the Storm of War server, but seeing as warmup only occurs on the ground, the track doesn't have an opportunity to lose its accuracy and kill me before you should see the oil pressure behavior yourself.
  20. EDIT: I realized that Youtube did some kind kind of awful compression on both videos, and it makes it particularly difficult to see the problems. In light of that, I've additionally uploaded these videos on a public file in Google Drive here. The compression hasn't done damage to the videos here. I would've attached the videos here directly, but it seems that I can't due to the file size restriction, so they're instead posted on YouTube. First issue, the boot is clipping the base of the stick at extreme deflection angles. It appears like the boot and the stick aren't animated together, and are animated separately. I say this because if you look closely in the video, as I deflect the stick to the left, an air gap develops between the inside of the boot opening and the surface of the control stick, and it's the same vice versa. It appears that the animation of the boot is overextending beyond the stick. Here's that video: Second issue are two wires on the inside the two pedals. It's easier to show it than explain it. Two things to note here: the wires (for each side) do not extend all the way up, and are cut off easily in sight of the camera. It's particularly noticeable in VR. The other issue with the wires is that they clip right through the inside arms of each rudder pedal.
  21. been over a year...
  22. +1. In in particular wondering if a fix could be done with the grass fields however. When the light hits them at the right angle, you can see the roughmet/PBR map doesn't match the terrain. It's too shiny, glossy Sent from my SM-A715F using Tapatalk
