  1. The A-10C squadrons of the 74th 'Flying Tigers' and 75th 'Tiger Sharks' fall under the command of the 23rd Wing and are home based at Moody AFB, GA. The 23rd Wing (formerly known as the 23rd Fighter Wing and consisted of only A-10's) encompasses multiple CSAR tasked squadrons, operating multiple platforms. (Remember the 'FT' tail code on the -60? FT='Flying Tigers') https://www.moody.af.mil/About-Us/Units/23d-Wing/
  2. Or the same exact voice of 50 aircraft pilots passing a waypoint... nearly all at once.
  3. First off...ED...this is absolutely NOT a complaining post. I thoroughly enjoy your latest release so far, and I'm absolutely looking forward to the moment that I get to fly around it in VR. I also fully realize that there is much more work planned into improving the map, but I was curious about the previously mentioned Trans World Radio Antenna towers that was showcased in a Marianas progress photo a while back? Unless I have completely overlooked it, I have yet to see them. Is it yet to be added or completely shelved? Just curious is all, as it has a bit of sentimental value to me. And also...a huge THANK YOU(!!) for adding the approach strobe lights to the runways that I requested a while back! They're fantastic!!
  4. I have to agree with the nosewheel skid theory as well... IRL, even though carrier decks have a non-skid surface applied, they almost always have residual grease, fuel, oil, sealants, or numerous other chemicals dripped, dropped, and smeared all over them, and as such, do not offer the same traction that's available on a dry airfield tarmac. And FYI jet fuel residue, is extremely slick...even on dry pavement! Add water from sea spray, or inclement weather, along with a pitching and rolling boat, then taxiing around the deck becomes downright dangerous for everyone.
  5. Day one purchase for me no doubt! Can't wait! *GIGGITY*
  6. I don't have enough experience to know what's a bug and what isn't...but this was so noticeable, I saved the track... HornetGunReticalRediculousness.trk
  7. I just want to get in 89-0487 and see how difficult it really is to drop a GBU-10 on a Hind...

  9. Absolutely agree... In fact, I check the training syllabus after every single update, hoping that additional lessons have been added. @Wags Sometime soon maybe?
  10. Press keyboard 'S' while operating rudder pedals..... seems to work much better for me. Nosewheel turns approx 70-75 degrees from center.
  11. Thanks for the assist cOff!
  12. Valkyrie Aero livery please...
  13. I few of my favorites: Fiction: 'Flight Of The Intruder' and 'Final Flight' both by Stephen Coonts. Each reads like a detailed Tom Clancy novel. Both are very descriptive, and are written in a manner that puts the reader 'in-the-seat', so to speak. The actual movie 'Flight Of The Intruder' is.....well....just sad...when compared to the novel. Non-fiction: 'Top Gun' by George Hall. Published in the 1980's, it's still a solid read, includes amazing photography, and gives you a good idea of the requirements needed (during the 1980's) to qualify as a Naval Aviator. It also touched on why and how the actual NFWS began, how they operated (up to the mid- 1980's) and a few of the tactics employed, and how the training syllabus progressed for students. This book alone is what sparked my interest in pursuing military aviation photography, but also started an insatiable appetite to learn anything and everything about US military aircraft, their weapons and systems, and some of the tactics used to employ those weapons effectively. 'TOPGUN Days' by Dave BIO Baranek. Dave is a former F-14 RIO and TOPGUN instructor, and assisted in the creation of the brand new 'F-14A Zone-V' DCS campaign by Reflected Simulations, that was literally *just* released... Dave has authored several books, and although I personally have not read them myself yet, I'm sure that they are just as good. 'Grumman F-14 Tomcat: Bye-Bye Baby.....!' by Dave 'Hey Joe' Parsons, George Hall and Bob Lawson. Its more of a photographical book, but includes countless anecdotes, insights and short stories given by ground crews and Tomcat pilots and RIO's, of what it was like to maintain and fly the F-14. I have several other really good books that come to mind, that were all authored by fighter/attack jet pilots, giving the reader their first-hand account of what it was like to go into a post-Vietnam war combat theater/environment. Let me know if you are interested, and I will be glad to help.
  14. @RoughmasterFantastic!! Thanks for taking the time to create those.. I'm very much looking forward to seeing them! Cheers!
  15. I have a humble request as well? I have not mastered the art of livery creation, so I was hoping someone would be interested in creating the F-16E/F Blk 60 Desert Falcons livery (with Arizona Fin Flash and tailcode)? USAF instructors trained the UAE crews and operated out of Tuscon International Airport with the 162ndFW.
  16. I may very well be that 'one weird guy' here... but I believe I would thoroughly enjoy an honest-to-goodness, by-the-book, flight instruction syllabus campaign for a modern tactical aircraft... Especially with the F-14...
  17. If someone decides to create a A-26, I have good audio of one starting up and idling..captured with binaural microphones while recording 4K video...
  18. VERY cool!
  19. Small world.. I'm in Oklahoma. Cheers!
  20. I absolutely would buy this as soon as it dropped... But your statement of being a volunteer for a pair of A-26's, (a 'B' and 'K' specifically), is what piqued my curiosity... Other than my home state, I don't know of any other location in the world where 2 A-26's (specifically a 'B' and a 'K' as you mentioned) are maintained/hangared within a short drive of each other.. Anyway, hopefully we can get people on the A-26 bandwagon..
  21. Has this idea ever been considered? With the Dynamic Weather engine in development, it's something that would definitely need to be implemented at some point. AFAIK, at most airports, they are automatically activated at dusk, but the flash intensity varies according to the weather conditions. And it just looks cool...
  22. This... So. Much. This. Please.
  23. I have a request for a detailed and accurate livery of a specific VFA-106 Hornet. I have photo references available. As a token of appreciation for your time and talent, I'm willing to send you a printed image of the subject aircraft, that will be suitable for framing and look fantastic in your man-cave/pilot lounge... Please contact me if you are interested. Many thanks!
  24. Hey Mate! My apologies... I was just voicing my enthusiasm for an aircraft that I fell in love with during my childhood. I truly didn't mean to offend. No need to start any of that rubbish right? I am absolutely *not. at. all.* ungrateful for the A-4E... It's a fantastic mod. I hope you are safe and well! Please tell the wife and daughter I said 'Hello!' Cheers!!
