Did anyone notice the cockpit options for Mi-8 and MiG-15 now? You can have Chinese cockpit if you want :)

Or is this an old feature that I have missed up until now?

Yeah trees looked bad and Ai Mustang I flew against was dull (the paint finish).

Yope, there is something wrong with the trees, and some buildings I think?

Yesterday I made a Video, in flight you can see that they are kind of black and without texture...

NTTR will be around 26GB - so you wil know it...

Are you serious. No way, I have not space for this in my SSD.

It is the option to install this map in another hard drive? to play?

I can see how this might get out of hand when more maps are available.

Something tells me this data won't be compressible for download either since then they'd also aim for a smaller storage footprint. It will take me days to download this.

i386DX40@42 MHz w/i387 CP, 4 MB RAM (8*512 kB), Trident 8900C 1 MB w/16-bit RAMDAC ISA, Quantum 340 MB UDMA33, SB 16, DOS 6.22 w/QEMM + Win3.11CE, Quickshot 1btn 2axis, Numpad as hat. 2 FPH on a good day, 1 FPH avg.

DISCLAIMER: My posts are still absolutely useless. Just finding excuses not to learn the F-14 (HB's Swansong?).

Annoyed by my posts? Please consider donating. Once the target sum is reached, I'll be off to somewhere nice I promise not to post from. I'd buy that for a dollar!

Welcome to 2015 , games can take ALOT of storage these days.

My BF4 install is around 60GB with all DLC , and that`s just for a FPS

Call of Duty Black Ops was just released and around 45GB , also just a FPS

As new maps come with increased level of detail/graphics, I would certainly think they will use increasing larger space for installations. And as they continue to evolve then certainly they are going to require more drive space and for some of us larger drives.

I myself prefer my games on SSD now, and I currently have 2 - 256gb SSD's. For now I have one devoted to the OS and program files, and the other is where I install all my games. I am judicious about how many games I have installed, I only have games that I regularly play installed on my gaming SSD.

But also I know as things evolve, at some point I will need more drive space. When that time comes, I will put a larger SSD in for my games to accommodate. I am certainly looking forward to the upcoming NTTR map with DCS 2.0, along with eventually the Normandy map for WWII.

Well I cant buy more maps if this work like that. Nevada is more than 20Gb and is not so big area, what about the others map then??

We need to use a second hard drive to move this extra maps added.

check your special option for each aircraft, you now have a drop down menu for different cockpit languages

I have only loaded a few aircraft onto the DCS 1.5 Open Beta, and, with the latest update, have the cockpit option boxes. The dropdown menus don't seem to be working, though, as they only offer "default" or are blank. Do I have to activate this feature somehow?

Posted

Does the updater continues where it left off if it fails? Initialy it was downloading 2,5GB, it failed half way through and after I restarted it again it showed only 1,3GB download.

Also,,, what are you supposed to do if the download completes and it gets stuck partially during the phase where it states " Cleaning up", but it states (not responding)? Or do I need to make a separate post for this subject?

Not to come across as a jerkoff, but how big did you think it was going to be? It's a whole new theater with high res textures and models!

Calm down people.

Current hard-drives costs about 0.03USD per GB.

26gb of Nevada NTTR will therefor cost you 0.78USD.

So what's the big deal?
