Dubai will actually, together with the Iranian city of Bandar Abass, be the primary cities on the map that will feature high details and unique buildings. Comparable to what Las Vegas is to the NTTR.

as to Silver_dragon road map it says "Straight of Hormuz (2016)"

i think the map will be released early 2017.

In fact I am terribly disappointed because I heard a long time ago that the Strit of Hormoz map was in a far better state as the Normandie map. Does that means that we have a long year time to wait before it will be at last released ??? :cry::cry::cry:

dont forget a huge map needs hard work on every meter on the map, every point,

if they wont release it in late 2016 or early 2017 so they just can easily say Hormuz map (WIP)

don't forget F/A-18E made to be with Hormuz map,

in my opinion it wont take more than 1 year, they have many things to do currently they can make us busy with it, but in my opinion giving news for Hormuz means its on the way soon, soon doesn't mean 1-3 months, probably 6-7 months later.

that's just my opinion on Hormuz regarding release.

I'd like to hope we get F-16s at some point because UAE operates both F-16s and Mirage 2000s out of Al Dhafra along with assorted allied aircraft such as the :censored: and :censored: and also the :censored:.

I'm definitely looking forward to both the Hormuz map, the Normandy map, and the Caucasus retexturing. It's amazing how quickly DCS is now progressing with terrain and aircraft addons.

Dieter don't know sometimes ago ED say's Normandy map goes to a third party developer, possible it's going in terms of DCS a little bit faster now.
