Anyone else in UK getting sub par download speeds? I usually grab the files at around 9mb/s but today it's capping around 0.8 to 1.2mb/s

Denmark, and yes. I have been hovering around 0.3-0.5mb/s for the duration of the big 3.4gb delta download, and now with the main 9.4gb download, Im around 0.6-1.0mb/s.

- Jack of many DCS modules, master of none.

- Personal wishlist: F-15A, F-4S Phantom II, JAS 39A Gripen, SAAB 35 Draken, F-104 Starfighter, Panavia Tornado IDS.

This update is strange.

I started it and it installed a new Updater. Then it started downloading about 3.4gb, so I left for an hour to do some work.

I just got back and it is half way through downloading 9.3gb!??

BTW, I was getting 1.5mbps on the first 3.4gb. Now I'm getting .8 - 2.1mbps

Download finally complete, towards the end it was hitting around 4-5mb/s so it did accelerate a bit, guess there were too many leechers and not enough seeders at the time :)

I have exactly the same. Because of low downloadspeeds down to 50KB/s I cancelled the download after 3 hours, changing the download method. Now it says 23GB of download ????

Edit, ok, after restarting the whole download process, it started to download the rest of the 9.3GB at a reasonable speed.

Come on guys, you can't seriously expect it in 2019 based on our experience with other modules. Nothing negative about it, it just takes huge amounts of time and unexpected turns to successfully develop such a module. 2020 Early Access with some potential to be feature complete in 2021.

We don't know for how long it's been under development already. Don't forget the Hornet is a test bed for a lot of new systems and implementation of them will be easier in upcoming modules. It will be more or less copy/paste (I did not say EXACTLY, so you can calm down before you bash me)

Awesome work ED!

The SpitFire IX cockpit still has canopy soapy overlay effect when open and closed. causing sun glare issues.

Another thing I noticed is a huge gain in VR performance!

Is there a chance there will be a release branch patch this week?

Given the time of year plus issues with the latest OB including a lot of visual flashing in VR, I very much doubt it.

not only in VR the guys in 2-D are getting it too, its seems to be a shading issue with multiple sun effect lighting; I would guess.

So you have the lighting effects for the sun; then you have the lighting effects at point. this is why NVIDIA made RTX, so developers would only have to use the source light, and get actual light scatter and bounce reflection from objects like in the real world.

yep with 30-40 fps max :megalol:

Imho raytracing will be properly implemented in at least 4-5 years.

As for flickering I confirm the problem is threre also in 2-D:thumbup:

Great news about the Hornet and the AN/AAQ-28 Litening Targeting Pod from the Hornet mini-update. I can't wait to use it on some pinpoint strikes. Using AI JTAC for lasing was kind of annoying when there's multiple targets.

They have mentioned again that there was an update to the Spitfire. There wasn't!
