Harlikwin Posted May 20, 2020 Posted May 20, 2020 Well that's a lengthy patch list for some planes at least. Pleasantly surprised the Harrier got some attention. And the updates/fixes for the Jeff are impressive. And I'm cautiously optimistic about all the netcode fixes, and what look to be a few performance fixes as well. Still not showing D/L able on steam for me yet though. New hotness: I7 9700k 4.8ghz, 32gb ddr4, 2080ti, :joystick: TM Warthog. TrackIR, HP Reverb (formermly CV1) Old-N-busted: i7 4720HQ ~3.5GHZ, +32GB DDR3 + Nvidia GTX980m (4GB VRAM) :joystick: TM Warthog. TrackIR, Rift CV1 (yes really).

Harlikwin Posted May 20, 2020 Posted May 20, 2020 What new VR options? Something about MSAA in the notes. Also looks like some sort of shader bug got fixed, so performance there. Plus hopefully the pathfinding stuff will improve performance too. New hotness: I7 9700k 4.8ghz, 32gb ddr4, 2080ti, :joystick: TM Warthog. QuiGon Posted May 20, 2020 Posted May 20, 2020 Would be much more reasonable to FIRST upload the patch, THEN publish the patch notes.. Great, now you complain that they release the patch notes ahead of the patch. If they hold back the patch notes till the patch has been uploaded on the servers, then people are complaining too. I guess ED just can't do it right, no matter what they do... Gierasimov Posted May 20, 2020 Posted May 20, 2020 Thanks! If GRAY is the same as in other jets, it just displays a scale of lighter to darker grays (they'd be greens in the L/R DDIs), so the pilot can verify that all of them are visible and distinguishable, for gain and level control purposes. Similar to the gamma setting screen in a lot of games, when you launch it for the first time. ALG just means that the TPOD itself will adjust the gain and level for optimal picture clarity in FLIR, depending on the heat source variation visible (ie if you view a fire, it should reduce the gain to prevent blooming, if you view something cold it should increase gain). It's similar to how a modern digital or phone camera adjust things on the fly when you point it towards a bright scene and then towards a dark one. Kind of a simplified explanation, but that's the idea. I appreciate this Harker. Thanks! Tom Kazansky Posted May 20, 2020 Posted May 20, 2020 Would be much more reasonable to FIRST upload the patch, THEN publish the patch notes.. There is a quick work around for that problem. Just don't read the updates before you download the update ;) Just kidding
