Does "family" mean we'll be getting the naval variants later on too? Very cool indeed and I think most people pretty much saw this coming. 😄

Please finish the Tomcat first though.

Yes! We'll share more in a FAQ shortly. 🙂

Amazing ... thanks a lot, I just love these brute force machines, instead of the flying computers that we get with the Viper, Hornet and Apache, aircarfts that are really challenging to fly well, like the Tomcat, is what I enjoy the most amongst the DCS aircrafts. 👍 Day 1 purchase for me.

I'm wondering if it's the same F-4E that Belsimtek worked on before merge with ED 🤔
Because that would explain partnership with ED in making F-4 and why it's announced to release this year.

Might not be a bad idea to kinda clarify (even in the most general possible terms) what the "2022" really stands for here. Are we talking about the year of a more fleshed out, official announcement/overview or are we talking about an actual early access release. If it is the former, it might be a good idea to get ahead of any (perhaps inevitable) fever-pitch hype/conjecture/guesswork turned rumor by the community.

Phabulous news.

But…. Is 2022 a certain bet or more of a goal? I think we’ve all had our fill of over ambitious and optimistic target dates this week. Not to take anything away from this good announcement.

Holy crap! I was 100% convinced it was going to be an ED aircraft and be released in 2024 or something. I've never been happier to be proven wrong!

When has Heatblur ever released an aircraft which wasn't nearly feature complete?  The F-14 was missing some minor features, but was effectively feature complete on launch... so suffice to say, short of ED forcing an early launch of this, it'll be nearly complete on launch.  I'm fairly comfortable and making that assertion.
