Coming back after watching the appended short demonstration videos on the damage animation.
Waooo! That is just nice.
Am sure this destruction animation is a first in dcs maps. Is it?

Brilliant.

Yeah, cool implementation. Simple yet convincing as first step.

@Javier Looks like the base is outside the map.

Hi destroyers!
"Add damage models to objects" - this was one of the most popular requests for the Syria map.
The peculiarity of modern buildings is that they are large in size or height. To make the destruction look more or less realistic, we divided large objects into parts and made a separate "damage" for each. When technology allows, we will be happy to make fully destructible building models. but already now you can diversify your flight missions thanks to this update

You know that we do not do for some unique objects of the destruction model, but there were so many requests that demags are now available for the original objects - the terminals of Beirut, Damascus, Aleppo, Gaziantep, Paphos, Nicosia, Adana Hilton, Sheraton Adana, Haifa Tower hotels Panorama, Haifa Tower Sail, Damascus Tower, Limassol Olympic Residence, Platinum Tower Beirut, Sama Beirut, Assad Palace, Haifa Cooling Tower, Aleppo Power Plant and La Farge Factory.

In addition to the damage, we have optimized night lighting and optimized city blocks, so that all the additions will definitely not degrade your performance.

While your plane is being prepared, check out the pictures

The update is already available in the current open beta. I don't know, if it has been implemented in the stable as well.

If it is in current OB then it is in stable too, because till the next OB they are the same version.

The current ob and stable 2.8.7 .42718 brings Syria map "new night lighting" and "destruction models for Aleppo power plant and Lafarge factory" (and right hand traffic in Cyprus etc.) from official changelog.

About new specific object destruction, released to the public are only those two.
I've tested in my DCS World bombing airport buildings of Beirut and Aleppo. They are not destructed as same as previous DCS versions.
The movies and screenshots MAESTR0 posted here maybe a teaser for a future coming update.

Map looks amazing! However, CPU usage at 100%, memory at 90%, GPU at 100%. Not sure if there is an issue. 8700K @ 5.3GHz, 32GB Ram, 3090 RTX. Preload radius set to 65300, visibility range high.

Thank you Maestro for sharing the update coming.
Those upgrade figures are pretty substantial
I looking forward to testing to see the optimization work on the map and of course those new airfield bases.

Keep up the good work.

Good news!! How about Muwaffaq Salti Air Base? Very important base for missions.

This. So much this.
Needs to be in Syria and Sinai maps.

Should have been there right from the beginning.

Interesting, does this mean the map is being expanded slightly to the South given the new Airports listed, i mean Amman is right at the bottom, would seem odd to have a line of no terrain so close - Dead sea to be included?
