Viper1031 Posted March 21 Posted March 21 I know that ED has said it's coming, but do we have any updates on this? I can't wait to be able to fly from my home state to say the middle east, or to Russia, partake in missions, then fly back home. 1
scommander2 Posted March 21 Posted March 21 Ya. I heard about it to integrate (link) all maps together. I can image that we need a big SSD to store data... It is a gigantic development effort and like to see it happened soon.... Thanks for posting it. 1 Spoiler Dell XPS 9730, i9-13900H, DDR5 64GB, Discrete GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080, 1+2TB M.2 SSD | Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS + TPR | TKIR5/TrackClipPro | Total Controls Multi-Function Button Box | Win 11 Pro

Actually, it's totally seperate from the other maps, as they are made by falt earthers, and can't be projected on a sphere. This new global map will probably use streamed storage like the civ sim, and not take too much space itself.Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk 2
