  1. Past hour
  2. Reading this article from 2022, the interview noted that the F-4U would eventually receive the AN/ASG-10 toss bombing computer during early access. I don't expect it to show up soon, but it'll be interesting to see it when it arrives. Wondering how it's coming along!
  3. Hi Hoss, i recently bought the smallest offset adapter extension for my AV, improves quite a bit, but i wonder what 'fly by wire' is ...
  4. Ho guys , i have downloaded files from the link at the first page , but in the rar file there are only image files ...where is the mod?
  5. Disagree. It always had same chaff resistance as AIM-7M when we look at at LUA
  6. According to the RL flight manual, when the compressor inlet temperature (T2) falls below +45°C, the maximum engine rpm is limited to prevent excessive mass airflow through the engine. The rpm maximum speed reduction starts at +45°C and is reduced until, at -54°C, the maximum rpm is approximately 90 percent. The engine also incorporates an exhaust gas temperature (T5) reset during military and full afterburner operation. This T5 reset occurs at the same point as T2 cutback, and reduces EGT at the same time that T2 cutback is reducing rpm. As can be seen in the attached track, even at a T2 of -40°C, maximum engine rpm remains 100% and I could find no evidence of T5 reset. I do not believe these effects are intended to be modelled (though I cannot be sure) so I'll leave this here as a low-priority feature to be implemented in the future. no_t2_cutback.trk
  7. yes the fires are not affecting performance at all the fires i used were done thru the failures tab in mission editor fire extenguishers didn't seem to do much too
  8. Hi. You said that DCS has its own voice chat system. Where can I locate this chat system?
  9. According to RL flight manual, a utility hydraulic system or double generator failure renders the variable bypass bellmouth and auxiliary air doors inoperative. Operation of an engine with an open variable bypass bellmouth and closed auxiliary air doors will allow engine compartment secondary air to recirculate to the engine inlet. During low altitude or ground operation, the temperature of the recirculating air may be high enough to initiate T2 reset. As seen in the attached track on the EFB engine page, switching off both generators after a hot spawn with the corresponding closure of the auxiliary air doors does not cause T2 to increase (T2 remained at OAT = 50°C for 3 minutes, I did not continue the test afterwards), and therefore T2 reset does not occur. Even though the game manual does not mention T2 reset/auto-acceleration as a possible malfunction, I was expecting auto-acceleration due to malfunctioning auxiliary air doors to be implemented since T2 reset due to high-speed flight seems to be accurately modelled. If auto-acceleration is intended to be modelled I recommend to check for a bug here; if it is not intended to be modelled, consideration should be given to model the effect as a low-priority item. no_auto_acceleration.trk
  10. Super cool!
  11. If you are solely using 2D, then I would use SimAppPro to manage the WinWing displays (that's what I did before entering to the wonderful world of VR), and forget using custom-made monitor configuration .lua file. But before worrying about WinWing displays, I would first make sure that your main monitor is working properly. I'm not fully sure what you mean by not getting the main monitor working: is Windows recognizing it? Or is the issue only in DCS? I have unfortunately Finnish Win11 installation, so screenshots from my system may not be that useful. Anyhow, when you right-click on free space on your desktop, you can get to your Screen Settings menu on Win11. I would first disconnect the WinWing displays, and then try to make the main display working fine within Windows and DCS. When the main display works fine, then you should connect the WinWing display next to each other on a USB hub, and again enter the Screen Settings menu in Win11. Then, it should be enough to do all the WinWing screen configurations once on Screen settings: Turn each WinWing MIP display into portrait mode Drag and drop each display on Screen Settings visual configuration so that screen layout corresponds to your Re-Shade filter image. I have the WinWing displays on the right side of my main monitor, as shown above, but the WinWing displays can be dragged also e.g. to be located below the main screen as well. It does not matter where the WinWing displays are on Win11 Screen Settings view, the important thing is that you know what display is what in Windows and in the physical world, and that the screen layout corresponds your Re-Shade filter .png. You can use the Identify Display (or whatever it is called in English) to verify what display is what. Tick the box "Remember display locations" (or something like that), under Multiple Display section on Win11 Screen Settings view. Do the screen mapping on SimAppPro on Game Peripheral Display tab so that all the steps are green. Note that you need to pick the aircraft you are going to use in DCS, but if it is F/A-18 you are only using, then this part is straightforward. I'm using WinWing MIP display for both F/A-18 and F-16. For F-16, I've exported RWR and EHSI to the WinWing middle display with manual monitor config .lua file (but that part was not in the file I shared above). After this, you should be good to go on 2D + WinWing displays.
  12. Visors are great. I don't buy any of that "getting sick". It's rather too realistic and steps onto some users convenience. Can't wait for the nose O2 mask
  13. @ANDR0ID can this mod be installed by save games folder instead of the main DCS install folder?
  14. I’ve never used it but DCS has its own voice chat system. There’s also SRS which, again, I’ve never used. And Discord which I have used.
  15. I'll check your old track and see if it still shows the issue. Thanks
  16. Already reported.
  17. First test looks good. There's still an excessive number of antennas, not sure they were on a real Super Constellation, but as a make-shift airliner it would work. The uv map does not seem to be affected when removing the radomes: Do you use Substance Painter or a 2d graphics program? Cheers, TeTeT
  18. Ooooh, that worked. Lol, spoke too soon (again). Worked until take-off, at which point it was back to 180 degrees out again. Pah.
  19. Again, that‘s nothing to be dogmatic about, but just as food for thought: Trainers are not only trainers, because they have a second cockpit, but also, because they have manageable performance, are usually not FBW (so that they offer very „basic“ stick and rudder experience to build fundamental skills etc….
  20. Well, this campaign is quite old and I’m not sure it’s author is still working on it
  21. Today
  22. New bug introduced with the last update. Changing the KURSKORR knob a little and then back again will fix it (in all cases I've seen it happen).
  23. I found what appears to be a workaround elsewhere. There's a comment that if clearing the FXO and Metashader folders in Saved Games doesn't work, to ensure that you do NOT have Mavs loaded on the aircraft during a cold start. That solved it for me until my aircraft had finished aligning, then it promptly broke again.
  24. Some adjustments had been made vs fast-moving targets, but anything weird you see, please include a track so I can check it out and add to the report. Thanks.
  25. А взять веб камеру и аитрекер и не парится?
