Will this Red Flag EU event be streamed somewhere? would love to watch this -
Thank! I have only used them on the 16. I was primarily wondering why it changed and if it was intended. Or if there is a new setting I am missing. If it was meant to be that way I can live with that. DCS videos I see out there show a much clearer picture. Mine use to look this way but suddenly changed in the last month.

General Warbird AI behavior
Eclipse replied to BlackCatActual's topic in Aircraft AI Bugs (Non-Combined Arms)
The general flight model for AI has been in development for years now. It is known that the existing flight model for AI is not the same physics-based model that players fly by, but a simpler model that results in the UFO behavior. That behavior is magnified within visual range and with slower aircraft. This is the single biggest issue that keeps me away from DCS warbiards and early jets. I'm very much looking forward to the new flight model eventually being implemented. I'm on the forum today looking for any updates beyond what was released about a year ago. -

So the idea is to not just assume something is broken because someone said so - work the problem and try to figure it out for yourself! The major issue was the combat radius. Tweaking the speed, route and having the bomber start searching before the attack waypoint like your test mission, I got it to launch at max range. It would be cool feature to provide a dynamic fuel amt at every waypoint.

Oasis Driver now in Steam Store for windows mixed reality

IT IS RELEASED ON STEAM! 1 day earlier.... that's a new "soon"(TM) Thanks @mbucchia (forgive me the double post plz) -
Anything >=95% you can assume it is GPU bound. Even though the average utilization is less than 100%, some frames are taking longer than the 1000/<headset Hz> ms to render so you will be seeing stutters on those frames, so you're at the limit. You're missing the point that MoleUK is trying to make: in VR, it will NEVER show GPU limited even if you are GPU limited. Unless you enable Vsync. Weird, but try it out. Crank up the pixel density so you know you will definitely be GPU bound, and see what the fps counter says with/without Vsync. That's because Windows puts all programs on Core 0 by default, which on the 9950x3D is the one with the cache, so in Process Lasso set default affinity for all apps to the non x3D cores, and only DCS to x3D Even on other CPUs preventing DCS from using Core 0 often results in a smoother experience

General Flight Model Development Progress....any news?
Eclipse replied to pabletesoy's topic in DCS Core Wish List
Anyone have any more recent news to share on this? This is (I think) the only issue that is keeping me from really diving into the warbiards and the Sabre and such, since the AI doesn't obey the same laws of physics with the current flight model. Thanks in advance! -

Hi, Think you mean my previous dynamic campaign Flaming Sunrise. Last time it was broken due to DCS AAR problems. They have fixed it now. As the AI AAR will certainly be broken again in future I'm just working to change AI flight behavior to prevent that happen. So at the moment it should be working normally.

I wonder if those 6g on left hand part of the chart are a structural or aerodynamic limitation.

29 August 2025 Dear Fighter Pilots, Partners and Friends, We are making steady progress on DCS: Iraq. Work has focused on completing the Iraq North region with clipmap refinements, corrected road and rail alignment, and more lakes. New airfields include H-2, H-3 Main, H-3 Northwest, H-3 Southwest, Al Kut, and Mosul airfields. Existing airfields have also received attention with refined embankments, fixed taxiway collisions, added ground support objects, and a more accurate water tower at Qayyarah Airfield West. We have also cleaned up open hangars of excess detail and unified settings so that all non destructible models are correctly flagged as Indestructible. From the 5th to the 7th of September, 2025, make sure to check out the Sim Gaming Expo taking place at Renaissance Convention Center in Chicago. Renowned DCS campaign creator Baltic Dragon and the lead developer from the Airplane Simulation Company will be showcasing the imminent arrival of the DCS: C-130J. Don't miss your chance to get your hands on the first “big bird” in DCS aircraft with a 30% pre-purchase discount, and please drop by for the meet and greet. The Red Flag EU server will be hosting Operation Liberty Dawn on the 30th of November, 2025. We are inviting you to take part in Nevada Test and Training missions; please contact Command via the official Red Flag EU Discord. Thank you for your passion and support. Yours sincerely, Eagle Dynamics Iraq Development Progress We are adding several new airfields to the Iraq North region and making a series of terrain and existing airfield refinements to the DCS: Iraq map. Clipmap adjustments are complete, and ground object settings have been normalized so that all non destructible models are now correctly flagged. This ensures consistent behaviour across the map as we move into the next round of art and performance passes. Please check out the development screenshots and stay tuned for the update coming soon. A key focus of this Iraq North update will be the addition of the H-2, H-3 Main, H-3 Northwest, and H-3 Southwest airfields in western Iraq. These served as critical Iraqi airbases during both Gulf Wars and as the focus on numerous offensive counter air, suppression of air defenses, SCUD-Hunt, and fighter sweep missions. To the north at Mosul, the Mosul Airfield has been added, as well as the surrounding area being improved. The southern portion of this region will see the addition of Al Kut airfield that also saw extensive action during the Gulf Wars and the earlier Iran-Iraq War. Several unique points of interest are also being added; the Kirkuk and Al-Shaab Stadiums, Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, the Grand Festival Square, Mar Mattai Monastery, Baghdad and Babylon palaces, and more. This is in addition to improvements to the existing airfields such as better hangars, control towers, and terminals. Following the release of the Iraq North update (similar to the recent Afghanistan Map update), the full-attention of the Iraq map team will focus on the southern region to include all or portions of southern Iraq, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and Qatar. Much of this work has already started, along with the addition of several Iranian airfields to allow Iran-Iraq War scenarios. Sim Gaming Expo Special guests We are excited to announce that DCS will be represented at the inaugural Sim Gaming Expo, a community-driven celebration of simulation taking place in Chicago, Illinois. This event will bring together enthusiasts from across the globe to experience the latest in simulation hardware, meet content creators, and take part in engaging panel discussions with industry leaders. One of the highlights of the show will be the opportunity to fly the upcoming DCS: C-130J by Airplane Simulation Company before its official launch. Campaign and mission developer Baltic Dragon will be there to showcase his specially crafted C-130J missions that demonstrate the full capabilities of this outstanding new module. Visitors will also have the chance to experience DCS on the impressive SimCraft full-motion simulator, flying missions designed by Baltic Dragon. DCS twitch streamer Ultrasaurus, known for sharing her DCS adventures, and Rifle, a real-world Special Forces Operator and JTAC/Instructor who actively uses DCS as a training tool, will be there to connect with fellow DCS pilots and share their experiences. RED FLAG EU Operation Liberty Dawn To mark the 50th Anniversary of Exercise Red Flag, RED FLAG EU will host its final event of the year: Operation Liberty Dawn. This will be a full-scale, multi-squadron, dawn strike against a hostile regime in the Nevada Test Training Range terrain. You basically have to check three things: Firewall: Make su you've opend the firewall. Don't trust the "allow application", manually set the PORT TCP and UDP that you would like to use (default 10308) Port Forward: your router should allow and forward 10308 TCp and UDP to your local ip address of your computer (ofc is better to have static IP or static DHCP lease to avoid that your computer changes local IP address on device reboot) CGNAT: This something that is not something that you can deal with, since it's a techinque used by ISP to reduce the pubblic IPv4 usage. To make sure you're not under CGNAT, compare the IP address that you see on whatismyip and what youread inside WAN section of your router/modem. When we do have different version in the past, openbeta, stable and so on, there was a little chance also to be on different DCS version. nowday it should not be a problem since we do have only stable, but it's worth to check that you and your firend are running the same exact DCS version, compare untile very last digits current: 2.9.19.13478

Don't you dare to tease us without following up with something substantial, dear Sir! There are some people figuratively starving for some news or updates on the MiG-21. Fooling around with their hopes and dreams is just cruel!

Hey ED, just tryin it the constructive way. The VR Hangar with the Flanker in it requires a certain amount of VRAM. I mostly notice it, when I am sitting in a demanding module like the Phantom on a demanding Map like Germany or Kola and open the F10 Map. After that problems like microstutters, and even weired display errors in my Quest 3 occur. So F10 Map is practically unusable for me under this circumstances. I would highly apreaciate an Option in the menu to disable the 3D UI environment. Just a black screen, or what ever you like which does not need to be rendered and does not require any VRAM would be fine. I hope this is not to much work, since there is an unofficial mod that seems to just do that. But I don´t like to work around with such mods, otherwise you will force me to uninstall it first before claiming an issue with anything esle. Could you by any chance try to make it happen? THX.
